Silver 11 nice collection!

I only have one Milwaukee tool, it's the FastBack first generation. Nice folding utility knife I must say.

I do love my fastback, but sometimes when I'm cutting extremely thick cardboard it will pull the blade out. Anyone experience this?

Recent Milwaukee Haul. I topped out on all Milwaukee as I get everything....impacts, portaband, sawzall, SDS, etc.

So I started buying extra toys...
The last 45 days haul. Two M18 Lantern (the one that has a plug), M18 Forcelogic KO kit, and the M18 Super Hawg. Got me 2 nailers just waiting to be shipped
Is the Ko set fast?

Are you using Milwaukee brand blades? The notches on other brands don't allow the blade to be retained fully.

I never used the included Milwaukee blade but I just compared it to my Dewalt blades, they look exactly the same. I then installed the Milwaukee blade it fits with the same amount of play as my Dewalt blades.

Hope that helps!

I bought the Milwaukee 1/4" fuel hex driver impact, love it! My only complaint is the white letting on the tool "Milwaukee" comes off WAY too easily.

I have the same issue with my Fastback II, I think that in thicker material the blade-release mechanism sometimes gets too far into the action, and ends up being engaged

Man that kit for 135$ is outrageous especially with the added 4AH battery. I wish one of those was nearby here!

Around the holiday with the $150 off promo, you could get that kit for $130. I did, I LOVE the hammer drill. Although you didnt get the extra battery.

I have not had this happen with mine yet. I cut quite a bit of cardboard every once in a while.

I haven't had this happen either. I bought a 100 pack of Irwin blades many years ago and use these with no issue.

The Fastback I is without a doubt the best utility knife I have used (also tried a few different Craftsman, Dewalt, and some others that escape me)

The Fastback II seems slightly too wide to grip comfortably, but I just held it in the store. I haven't actually used one.

This is true. I bought the heavy duty craftsman and the U loops are a little shorter than the Milwaukee but I notice that if I have the logo side facing the same way as the push/released button side of the knife, the blade stays firm. If flip the blade it keeps sliding out. Which make no sense since everything is the same lol

Good to know. Thanks.

Here are some crappy pictures of how the Milwaukee original blade has the loops longer than the craftsman blades.

And here I have the round safety edges, very different design, next to it the heavy duty craftsman and third is the Milwaukee replacements I picked up awhile ago

Anybody have issues with their fuel sawzall blade release slipping past the part that holds the blade and binding? I use compressed air each time after I've used it and there's nothing jamming the plastic. Do they require lubrication?

Paging Dacan23.

Just got my new flood light as well. Picked it up for the cord and 3X lumen spec.
I'll have to play with it more.

I just did a very rudimentary on/off and the output was not noticable compared to the current/former LED lantern as well.

Time will tell

I have a bunch of the Milwaukke utility knives. I use to carry them everyday till I upgraded to a leatherman. I never had an issue with blades coming out. I think I used mainly Stanley or Lenox..

I'll need a bigger room to use as a baseline....

I did notice a very minute 2 second ramp up time, on the new FL. It's brighter for sure, but can't say on high, it was a ~measurable usable difference~ between High on the older unit, even though spec should be 3X output.

Who has the best deal on the Milwaukee 2754? This will be my first Milwaukee tool so I need the batteries and charger. I prefer the 2754-22CT kit, but am not opposed to buying things separately if need be. So what have you fine people payed for yours? I don't need it right away so if anyone knows of upcoming sales please share those as well.

Who has the best deal on the Milwaukee 2754?

The -CT kit has a street price of $259, you shouldn't have to pay more than that. If you wait for a Zoro discount to come around, and you can get 25% off, it'll set you back $225. The best deal I ever saw, was Northern Tool, $259 and a coupon code for $50 off $250+, back during the winter. If you chat with customer service, asking when that deal will come around again, who knows - they might just give it to you. At any rate, you shouldn't have to pay shipping at any of the online retailers, not at $200+.

The pricing doesn't really make buying individually work, unless you can get the bare tool at a steep discount. There were some people who recently found the bare tool at Home Depot for $80 on clearance, but those are select stores and limited quantities. Chargers average $25 on ebay, compact batteries $35. Bare tools on ebay command a premium.

Never seen a 5.0 battery like that, is it a new wording design? Even the ones in my OK kit were not like that.

This one is like a corded rotary hammer in the same class, maybe stronger too!

I worked on a job where the company provided those instead of corded rotary hammer drills.

Considering the added abuse given by employees that (typically) do not care for an employers' tools like their own, the hammer drills have held up exceptionally well.

Six months of daily use and thousands of 1/2" holes drilled up through metal decking and then concrete for 3/8 drop in anchors (and then using the Powers Smart DI setting tool to set the anchor) without any tool maintenance is several DIY lifetimes.

That drill does **** down the battery though. You definitely want the 5.0 batteries, and performance drops noticeably once the battery hits 2 bars.

The ONLY cordless rotary hammer drill that may be a bit better is a HILTI, but the last time I used one it was made in Sweden, not China.

All of the Milwaukee tools provided performed exceptionally well, being used daily as corded tool replacements by employees that did not purchase them with their own money. None of them broke due to use/abuse and all withstood whatever drops were dished out.

We had these other tools provided (I didn't note the specific model numbers):

Milwaukee Fuel 18V impact driver (not the latest model)
Milwaukee Fuel Sawzall
Milwaukee Fuel 1/2" drill... and I never heard a single complaint about chuck wobble :)
Milwaukee bandsaw (3 versions: 18V Fuel Deep Cut, the non-fuel/non deep cut 18V and 12V versions)

There is a significant difference in tool treatment given by someone that buys the tools for their own use and someone that is given the tools to use. The tools that were provided held up, being used up to 10 hours a day, 6 days a week.

The current M18 and M12 Milwaukee tool lineup is indeed jobsite tough.

Yes extremely fast, 4 batterys/hour in chipping concrete mode! Every Brushless fuel tool have performance drops even when 3 bars are left its are a noticeably! More or less...

Couldnt be more satisfied with this tool[emoji375] Works and feels so good! Its are a real battery drainer when you really use it hard[emoji3], But that I dont care about, I just change the battery! Thou its a good idea to have atleast 4 pieces of 5ah batterys so you allways have a fully charged to work with[emoji106] Hate the cord so much its are worth to have a big bag with batterys instead for corded tools[emoji1]

I really wish Milwaukee would make an M12 fan. Watching for deals on the M18 fan now but I have sooo many M12 batteries and only 3 M18. Working in my horrible shop with only a single outlet makes more and more Milwaukee cordless stuff appealing. Even having my fan plugged in means that I can't work on anything but I can at least survive it in the garage. It's surprisingly hot here already.

The m18 fan is 40 in my area... Only battery operated?

No it's dual powered. I was actually using mine last nite after the power went out.. The only thing I wish were different, is I wish they made a variable speed control instead of just 3 settings.. Believe it or not the lowest speed is still pretty fast if you are using it close by.. The battery lasts a long time on low.. HOURS...
