Here's the new and old side by side. The new one is actually shorter when fully extended surprisingly. It also feels better built to me, could just be the new handle over molds and stuff though.

Honestly I didn't do much. They posted about it on the official Milwaukee Facebook and I said I was disappointed that less than a year after the initial release, when I picked one up, they put this updated one out. Wasn't really complaining but just randomly typed it when I was scrolling through. The next day they sent me a private message asking for my info and confirming when and where I purchased the original one. Then they said the manager wanted to do something for me and they were going to send me one for being a loyal end user. I was skeptical as hell at first but the guy came through.

Wow, that's pretty impressive.. Everyone's gonna hit up Facebook now.. Lol..

I sincerely wish they would just make a cheaper, corded version of this... It's a great light, and I'd try to get some for work - but I know if a bunch a new cordless stuff came in with a bunch of batteries - half of em would just walk out the door.. The only way to help keep stuff from being stolen is to make sure they aren't handed out to people to keep on their own trucks.. They'd have to sit in the office - on display in front of the group and our boss to make theft less tempting.

If the search lights and batteries / charger show up - I plan on mounting the all to a small piece of plywood, and maybe get some heavy duty magnets to hang in on our managers desk..

I lent out my snap on floodlights that I have mounted to that craftsman tripod for a scheduled night job.. Loaned them out for ONE night, and somebody ran over a leg of the tripod.. Honest mistake, but they happen way too often.

Yeah $400 seems pretty dam steep to me honestly.

Got a brand new 2663-20 1/2" M18 cordless impact bare tool last night at Rural King for $88. Looks like they're clearing out a lot of Milwaukee bare tools.
They had a couple of these, some saws, drills and smaller hex-drive impacts.

Didn't really need it, because I already own one, but the price was right for a backup/spare.

Only stores identified as "heavy duty" stores have them, not exactly sure how Home Depot determines which stores fit the bill, but not all stores have them.

In my store, they have a cardboard display in the main isle, right in front of the tool section.

I gotta be honest with you - I wore the large jacket to work today figuring it was in the 50's this morning and I wanted to have a day to see how it felt. First thing my partner at work says is that it looks too tight on me. I spent not even 10 minutes outside (with no battery) and my arms were already cold. It's not even that cold out. The material just seemed like it's not very insulating. I already took it off and swapped back to my Carhartt hoodie. The large is going back. The XL might be getting returned too, and I may just stick with last year's model.. maybe you'll have better luck, but right now I'm kinda disappointed.

I dont think I will get the new model, have 2 prior hoodies and 2 jackets. So did they make it less insulated but more durable you think. Because with the prior jacket model, on a slightly chilly day it does keep me warm. Yeah if I were you I would return both and send Milwaukee your feedback. Seems they tweeked the sizing for what they thought was better but may seem like they screwed up.

The sizes are definitely a bit screwy. I might take a few pictures and send them to Milwaukee. It might benefit some people, but unfortunately I'm not one of em.. I couldn't belive my arms were cold this morning. I had a long sleeve Carhartt shirt on and a tank top, and my first thought was to take the jacket off and switch to something else. It shouldn't be like that especially when it's still somewhat warm.
Tomorrow is gonna be cooler, so I'm gonna wear the same shirts and try the old jacket to compare.. I guess maybe I'll save myself $150.. too bad..

For the guys with all of the jackets, what do you do with all of the adapters that come with the jackets? I've got 5 of them laying around in a random box and stumbled upon this this weekend. I didn't figure there was a market for them on ebay since they come with any jacket you buy. Anyone need one?

I can get a great deal on this kit in bulk if anyone is interested. I'm thinking about it, but it's a lot of money for several of them. I want one for me, will have several left. It's this kit PLUS the 2663-20 impact wrench too. I would be at $360.00 shipped to the USA on each kit. Lots of tools for the price. Batteries are 3.0 Charger not shown, but it is there as well.

Don't have any of those batteries. Yeah, I will be breaking up some sets. The same sets I pasted a picture of in an earlier post. The picture is minus the 2663-20 impact that's in the set.

Are you referring to the post above? If so, PM me if you still need someone to go in on this with you. I'm interested in more details.

The jacket ones with USB are useful to charge/power devices in car/house/etc. The non USB ones are useless otherwise in a hoodie.

Okay I had thought to myself wouldn't buy any more tools for while right now but...

I went surfing for new 6 1/2 cordless saw I've been putting off getting a new Milwaukee one because I still use my Makita NiMH saw pretty much daily at work though I'm wanting to replace both cordless saws I have so I can just carry one set of batteries and set up one charger. Again I also want a new M12 5 3/8 saw to place the HF one I have been using for decades now its unbelievable how the battery has lasted soo long and that's been my only excuse NOT to get rid of it though some kid last fall, seasonal help at the orchard, managed to break the plate adjuster knob which I cobbed back up.

Now a while back maybe last Christmas I tried a recon 2630-20 from CPO but sent it back as the guide plate stamping was out sync by two lines or so when set to 90 or any other position for that matter. Wasn't worth it to me for the $30 they offered off list so I returned it for a full refund of my money.

So a 6 1/2 is what I use most often and I've gotten quite used to the left side blade. Anyhow me thinks I cannot turn down this deal Milwaukee has right now. 7 1/4 Fuel circular saw and 9.0 starter kit for only $20 more than the bare tool saw alone. WTF!

Check it out there is like almost no better way to upgrade! The starter kit alone list at HD for the exact same price of $249

The bare tool saw 2731-20 always lists for $229

http://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauke...8-59-1890/300161424?keyword=9.0+battery+offer

Checking out the specs I figure the weight even with the huge 9.0 will still be less than my 120v corded AC/DC Makita 5007NB the Makita weighs slightly under 11lbs.

I'm happy, happy, happy!

But still want a new 6 1/2 :D

I used Home Depot links but I purchased from ACME because it was still cheaper even after applying the OctoberHD coupon. HD charges state sales tax even with online purchases which kicked the final cost up another $15

Contact BC Fasteners. I've dealt with them a lot and they supposedly have tons of empty cases. They'll likely be able to help you out.

In other news, ordered the Fuel braking grinder today to upgrade from my 2780.

Nope, my order was placed on Oct 10th. Has anyone gotten the Miter Saw period from any retailer?

Anyone hear anything from Acme about the M18 Miter saw kit shipping? I emailed yesterday asking about it but no answer yet.

They're in stock in Canada at most tool houses. I know from other forums that guys have got them from Home Depot. The bonus battery in the kit comes in the box and isn't a retailer-specific promo.

I stopped by my local HD today because they showed 5 in stock of the 7 1/4" Fuel saw with free 9.0 Starter Kit. Inventory showed "no home." They were nowhere to be found.

I wound up ordering from HD online with free shipping. The sales tax *****, but I had some gift cards that have been sitting around for a while. Who needs a 6 1/2" fuel saw? ;)

I didnt think HD B&M would get that promo kit, will be funny if there are 2 endcaps at HD one with Dewalt Flexvolt and the other with Milwaukee 9.0 stuff.

Have some stuff I bought a few weeks ago at an annual tool show they host in Ridgefield NJ every October. They usually have good deals but this year they were to good to pass up.

Here is what I added to the collection:
-Fuel drill/impact kit with Fuel Sawzall was $279, Bought 2 one for a friend and one for myself. They gave a $100 credit with a traded in drill. I traded in an old 19.2 craftsman with 1 battery for each kit, they didn't seem to care what the trade in was.
-Fuel 7 1/4 9.0 Circular saw kit $249 plus another free 5.0 battery and Milwaukee contractor bag
-Purchased an additional 5.0 battery on amazon for $65
-They had buy one get one free on the magnetic tape measures so I got 2, (Love them by the way)
-They also had buy 2 get 1 free with the locking pliers so I got 6 pairs (bought 4 got 2 free) 4 large and 2 small. I am still waiting on these to be delivered.
-In addition they had a free jobsite organizer with $75 spent in hand tools.

I cut out a hole in the drill case to fit an extra 5.0 battery and it fits perfectly and holds it just snug.

Does anyone have a rapid charger? I can hear mine making a slight humming/hissing sound when charging and not sure if this is normal.

I was shocked too, but thought I'd check it out since it showed 5 in stock. The guy said there was no date received shown. He thinks they're on their way.

There are 19 HD's within 50 miles of me. Only two showed stock. Turns out it was too good to be true.

all the Home Depot's in my area are setting this up. Good deal for brushless. My first Milwaukee was this kit. Kept the drill and upgraded the rest to fuel line.

Disappointed if this is the only Milwaukee deal, for $50 more you could get Fuel kit with 5.0 instead of 3.0s, and they run freebie promos all the time on the Fuel kit. Now if that combo was $225-$250 then it is ok.

This morning my local HD had the 9.0 Starter kit w/ free M18 Fuel Sawzall.

I don't really need the 9.0 or the Sawzall right now, but that was a good deal and I'm actually thinking about getting it.
