Acme 10% off Sitewide, stacks with promos usually, good till Monday 10/31. Code = JACKOLANTERN

Dacan, please stop. I don't need to buy anything else right now. You're a bad influence. I have to go now.

One thing I think about buying which is a waste of $ is the M4 screwdriver kit.

My next things
New M18 Vacuum
New M12 Rover Flood Light
New M18 2738 Polisher

If a 15-20% code comes along I am buying the new 1" SDS with two 9.0s..... I might have to ditch all my 5.0s if I cant sell all these 9.0s I am gonna have.

I'm running out of stuff to buy...

LMAO... amazingly I am not buying anything on this code, but 3 days to change mind. Just used my wifes new customer 10% and ordered stuff on Wednesday. Think I am holding out for a 15-20% in November possibly BF or CM.

BTW, I believe the normal price on M18 Miter Saw kit w/ one 9.0 and rapid charger is $699. I think it is a special intro price at $599 plus the free 9.0. I think it will go to the $699 price in January with occasional promos.

What's your turnover rate look like; i.e. how often do you upgrade? Every other gen? Every gen? Longer than that?

I plan on keeping these tools for a long time.. my last set was the 18v nicad Dewalt.. they don't see heavy use at home, and I already have more than I really need..

Something tells me that won't stop me though.. I'll find something..

Wow was that ever fast...FEDEX gal just brought it! :D

Is this saw sweet and so light even with the big battery compared to my corded Makita just weighed them both a 2 lb difference 9.5 vs 11.5

Wicked long looking a full 17" from front of plate to end of battery but nicely balanced

So great price, great deal!

7 1/4" saw, rapid charger, High Demand 9.0 battery and a Milwaukee framing blade...no rip fence.

And at $225.00 total delivered after discount today, that's now even less than the list price of the bare tool saw alone

Acme gets a lot of my money, they have a good site and stacking sales & promos is huge, some other sites allow it occasionally. I order from Toolup, International, Northern, or others sometimes. Never from CPO anymore, their sales are a joke. Interesting how a small chain in the middle of nowhere NW USA has become a big player online. Still not sure how the have the Milwaukee tool chests, thought they were HD exclusive, unless theres some relationship with HD & Acme.

Funny what has gone down with CPO 2 years back I sourced a lot of stuff from them...now their "sales" are looking like more reg. prices found elsewhere and the "original" prices they list I have usually never seen various tools sold for :dunno:

Hate to dis on them though I did get some serious good deals over time plus fast free shipping and after the fact discounts just like the ACME one today.

That's awesome I think I paid $180 just for the bare tool a month or two ago

The HD's around here have been so confused about the miter saws, spoke to one who said htey had it but couldn't sell it until November, another who said the SKU was discontinued and they would never get anymore in, and a few who just didn't have it and had no clue when.

Local stores got them today and I picked one up... can't wait to use it! :) Figured the price with the additional 9.0 and the Menards rebate match right now, it's probably not a terrible time to buy.

Mine arrived from Home Depot today as well! My delivered price was a bit higher after adding in tax, but it was still a great deal. It's nice that Acme put it in a box. Home Depot slapped the shipping label directly to the Milwaukee box and UPS left it in plain view at the front door. The tape seal was broken (likely from shipping). Everything in the box looked perfect though and the tape on the 9.0 battery box was still sealed.

By comparison, the 7 1/4" saw is significantly larger than the 6 1/2". Part of me want to keep the 6 1/2" too, but there's really no need to have both.

The 9.0 battery is a lot bigger than expected. It unfortunately does not fit in the M18 flood light, but it fits in everything else I own. The 3.0 XC batteries have always been enough to get me through any project. I can't even imagine how long the 9.0 will last.

I wonder how long it will last in the jacket on high? Not that the huge battery would be comfortable for ordinary use, but for sitting outside at a Packers game for 3-4 hours it might be worth it.

Wow just now I had to go check out that for myself, Yup not even close to fitting the 2361 light with that molded in support bar. So then I wondered about the 0886 fan. Would it sit high on that battery and then not sit on the feet??? Whew exactly level with the rubber bumpers and not a decimal measurement to spare you can't even slide a business card underneath. A couple of 4.0's would always run my fan most all day so with this this battery I should be probably good for the day. :D

Another future plan for the 9.0 it is to also have it for the water transfer pump I am definitely getting before my greenhouse plant sales restart in the Spring. That is aclosed compartment too. I will have to check up on that though I thought I remember hearing that will fit.

Geez now I have to wonder if there are any other tool applications that might have an issue with that battery :dunno:

According to Milwaukee, the only tool that does not accept the new 9.0 battery is the original M18 floodlight (hex shaped), but they are suppose to offer a service part that just snaps in to fix that issue .

Went to the milwaukee service center for something else, walked out with m12 sander/polisher for $135 and a brand new 9.0 from a pawn shop for $150

That almost seems fishy... who the hell had to pawn a 9.0 already? :) And the polisher has never been used?

Curious what people are using that tiny of a polisher for. The M18 is on my list.

Ditto, mine came from HD yesterday straight in its box w shipping label slapped on there.

I like the left blade 6.5s. I didn't really want the right blade 7.25, might still try to sell it.

It looks like Milwaukee updated the flood light to accept the 9.0 batteries. The flood light has the same model number: https://www.instagram.com/p/BK4UM7hhXPs/

I did find this part number for the hang bar: 31-01-1585 It's $2.10 from Milwaukee, but I can't tell if it is the updated version or the same as the original:

You know I was a kind of surprised to see the cut out tool as an M18 seems like the M12 platform would have also been suitable for what its major intended use is...yes? no?

Probably makes sense though as more contractors build on the M18 line.

Now what I'd really like to see is a nice compact M18 laminate trimmer. :D

I found one of the new M12 jackets at the local Home Depot. Not impressed. Sleeves are super thin, material felt cheap.. I dunno, I didn't like it at all.

I'll post a video and some pictures once they get done uploading. They aren't very good quality, had a hard time getting my phone to focus on the black jacket vs. lighter colored everything around it. Oh well.

I'm still wearing one of the red M12 hoodies from when they were clearanced and man that thing is snugly. It's my favorite hoodie when the battery is out of it. When the battery is in it it's my relatively comfortable while being stabbedvorite hoodie.

Video of jacket. Around 0:13 you can see a close up of the material and then I show some pictures/video of how thin the sleeves are.

Getting good video/pictures is harder than I thought...

So I've been using an original M12 drill and impact driver to build an 8x16 shed along with the original 1.5A batteries. Today, while erecting the walls, it started to show it's lack of power. The anvil was crazy hot

I had the original Khaki hoodie. I spoke of it before and really beat it death in just two weeks on the job and Milwaukee did replace it (but with Hillbilly Camouflage was all they had left at the time :D )

Even so I am considering getting another one maybe a red one for use in the garage.

And that should look real good contrasted with some black moly grease.

I still don't really get the heating system though. I like the mobility using hoodies vs a more restrictive cut and I used mine outside all day for work. But most all the heat was in the chest zone and half the time I had the zipper partially opened. Where I felt I really needed it once again...was my upper back maybe it would help to dry the wet snow and/or rain off. Plus my lower back/kidney area where I felt it would comfort me the most in my old age :D and a place to routinely warm my hands you know that really freaking helps...a lot of times I cant always wear gloves to handle nails and screws out of my pouch (though foamed nitriles help somewhat there ) or even some of the tool switches sometimes.

Plus my other peeve was also the inner battery pocket to change out the battery. That was just BS.

I'm sure I won't be picking up any Milwaukee fans for saying this but don't believe they really made them for real work but more for stuff like bleacher sitting and having name recognition or just for the guy that has to get out his warm truck for a few to check out the job :lol_hitti

I won't lie. I work in an office, but do wander out to a house under construction once in a while to sort out issues. I'm a wimp and love my heated jacket. It's perfect. :D

Only reason I got the m12 polisher is for using rolok disks for cleaning rtv.

I love that thing. It's great with Rolocs. Only problem is the loctite on the spindle of mine failed so the actual pad the roloc screws into can unscrew from the mandrel but it's not that big of an issue. I could re-loctite it but I haven't bothered yet.

I use the **** out of mine. I restore vintage machinery and it's perfect for roloc disc's and metal conditioners. Today I used it with a pinstripe removal wheel after pulling off some molding on the truck. I've even used it to polish things with. Next to the Hackzall it's one of my "go to" tools.

I have one of the red hoodies and to this day the heat does not/will not work. :(

I think Milwaukee changed the battery location on the new hoodies.. I still have to return both of these new heated jackets. The old one just seems better to me. It's lighter, fits better, I prefer the external battery pocket (I can't even feel the battery when I have one) and it's a warmer jacket.

I like the idea of the tougher material the new ones have, the old one seems kinda delicate, but so far I'd still rather be wearing last year's model.. I have the one from a few years ago that's also solid black.. Maybe I'll just start wearing that one more, but the inner lining on the black and grey model is nicer. I like the smooth nylon type lining. The jacket slides on and off very easily, and it feels like I move around easier with it on.

Too bad Milwaukee. It took a long time but you finally disappointed me.
