I guess it depends where you are and how many batteries you have are you able to charge on the job site are you up in the air???? That last job I did I put 4000 scews in and no power so it was just what I had in battery packs I took 6 with me I used 4 of them.

Picked this up on an amazon lightning deal a few days ago. Honestly not very impressed... I'll likely be on the lookout for a deal on the m12 rover floodlight.

I have the M18 version and it's literally the only Milwaukee tool I have ever been disappointed with. Might work OK as a light inside a tent or somethign but besides that it's been pretty useless for me

I guess your expectations were too high, I think the lanterns are great, both M12 and M18. I mostly use them for camping, at the picnic table etc

Must have been. I've been happy with the stick light and flood light and probably going to get one of those stand lights for Christmas too

I just got this yesterday. I can't believe how bright it is. Also nice that you can plug it in.

I just picked up that two knife combo pack with the camo pocket knife and utility knife.. I've been needing another pocket knife and figured I'd try this out.. So far, not really impressed. Quality and sharpness seem okay, but there's nothing fast about this fastback knife. I thought with the name it would be much easier. The utility knife opens and closes very easily though, just a bit too bulky to carry around.
Any one else's experience with the pocket knife any different?

Cheers

Just curious, what makes you disappointed in the light?

I was looking at getting one this holiday season and I was specifically getting it for things like camping and power outages. I really like that it has the USB output on it so you can charge your phone.

Any thoughts on what I would be using it for?

Camping it would probably be fine and the battery life is really long from what I remember

I was trying to use it under the hood of cars.. it's too big to be used as a stick light and too dim to be kept further away from what you're working on

That isn't really it's intended purpose though, so perhaps I just went in with the wrong expectations. For camping it'd probably work just fine

I gave my GF an M12 lantern for exactly all those reasons. She loves it. Light for when the power goes out...it can comfortably light up a room. Charges the phone and the grandkid tents with it lol! She even reads by it.

Yeah I think it would be great as a camp light. I guess it is called a lantern. I wanted it for a work light, and for that purpose it just isn't bright enough for the size. I'll likely just keep it for the USB function.

Agreed, I wish the "regular " knives opened more easily. The utility knives are bulky, yes. Try the compact if you want.

I just can't bring myself to get the combo pack - the camo is so damn ugly.

I never saw the combo with the 9.0, but the combo with the 5.0 is readily available for $249. Looks to be on sale at Home Depot for $199 on Black Friday.

Love all my red stuff

M18 Fuel
5" grinder
Drill/driver
Impact

M18 radio

Corded
4.5" 7amp grinder
6" 13 amp grinder

I use all of these daily as a mobile welder. I love my M18 Fuel 5" grinder the best, super convenient, plenty of power, and decent enough battery life for a tool spinning at 11000 rpm. The 6" grinder is a hoss.

Cant beat Milwaukees warranty either. I've had to send a couple things to them for repair and have been extremely satisfied every time

Not to be picky here, is normal for the battery to be a tad bit loose when installed onto the M18 drill? I know there has been discussion of wobble chuck issues on the M18 (M12 is fine), but it appears Milwaukee has made a slight patch on the chuck design to kinda compensate for the wobble. The demo units at the Home Depot have this wobble and the associate representing Milwaukee there said it was normal. Not sure what else I can say.

What's the best deal going on the stand light? The 2130 one..

Looking for one for Christmas. A 9.0 battery would be awesome too, but depending on price difference a 5.0 would probably be just fine for my uses

Batteries fit fine in my unit

Try tightening the handle screws a little to see if it make a difference

then beat it to death! :D

No chuck wobble on M18 Gen 1 Fuel drill I have.

Some cheaper red goodies were purchased today and yesterday. I found the electrician's torpedo level on clearance at Home Depot and also purchased their stapler.

I just got an M18 Fuel grinder from CPO and am wondering if there's a problem with it.

When the spindle is stationary, there is significant resistance when turning it by hand and it clicks several times per rotation. Is this normal?
