Why didn't they make the new FUEL die grinder variable speed? Instead its only off or on, 0 rpms or 20k rpms. Come on Milwaukee, I thought you were smarter than this.
Anyone have the m18 polisher. I had a corded dewalt that worked pretty good for the couple cars I've used it on. Brought it to work to polish the copper roof I'm building and the boss broke it within 5 min. He said he will buy me the same one or get me the Milwaukee m18 if I want that instead. Looking for real world feedback. I don't buy the claim that a car can be done on one 5.0 battery. Maybe the final polish or wax but definitely not any paint correction.
Doesnt the 150/200 promo end this week? Shocked no price drop yet on the 2897 to 349 with the promo.

I think it ends on the 25th. I really wanted to go for it but can't use it right now anyways. I'm sure there will be another promo out by spring. Maybe a april fools day promo, or mothers day. HD website had the 0880-20 vac with it then they pulled it. I didn't need any of the other tools that they offered with it.
I just received my string trimmer kit from ACME. It's really something you have to get in your hands to appreciate. Although I won't be using it until spring, it looks and feel built like a tank. I owned a landscaping company for years and am used to having a string trimmer in my hands for 8+ hours a day. The Milwaukee feels really comfortable and well balanced. Now I need to wait till the weeds and grass start growing to see how it compares power wise to the Redmax it's replacing for my home use.
Was in a HD today that has a new floor display fully stocked with sawzall and circular saw 9.0 promo kits. Didnt think stores would be restocked, and that the kit would be produced after the holiday season, wonder how long till they jack the price to $299 or more.
Also the Fuel 2780 Grinder is further marked down to $135 and saw a few Fuel 2763 1/2 impact at $180, grinder is the better of those deals. With a 150/200 promo those would be VG prices.
I also received my String trimmer kit today. I felt the same as bigtim. It feels heavy but not too heavy. Seems to have good power. I really like the high/low switch. I won't be using it in the yard for a few months though. Now just waiting for the blower to show up.

Any thoughts on one being used by my 5' tall, 100 pound wife?
I see Makita has a brushless, curved trimmer that is shorter and lighter than their other cordless trimmers as well as the new Fuel. It's also adjustable in length.
Only yard work my wife does is trimming and she wants a cordless trimmer so I want to get the best one for her diminutive size.
is Milwaukee just living off an old brand name as another forum tells us it is in particular that k900 is **** can be beaten by a cheap titan

Those are "clearance" prices at my store so I don't think the 150/200 promo would stack? Or is it possible to do it online for store pick-up?
I think black and decker makes a small cordless.. not sure you could really compare it to the Milwaukee. Dewalt has a 20v and 40v also I believe.
I can't comment on the Milwaukee until tomorrow, but we used a Worx trimmer for the last three years and my wife was perfectly comfortable with it. She's got about 3"-4" and 30 lbs on your wife, but the thing is very light, very adjustable and of adequate power. I personally hated it but I still recommend it, I think it's of decent quality. The string feed mechanism can be frustrating but it's better with a higher quality line rather than the Worx brand line.Any thoughts on one being used by my 5' tall, 100 pound wife?

I'll check tomorrow, but I know it's a 20 volt.Which Worx model? As I recall they make a handful of trimmers in more than one voltage?
The string feeder on our Stihl is useless. There was something about the ones from that era that were/are problematic. We carry individual strings and push them into one of those cam type heads rather than trying to get the bump feeder to work.
Look forward to your comments on the Fuel.
One can only hopeAt the rate the weather is going... You just might be using it by the end of the month.

It's this one. Looks like they have a newer version in 20V. The one I have is $99 with two batteries, on their website. I got mine on eBay with one battery for $40 shipped, and it came directly from Worx.Which Worx model? As I recall they make a handful of trimmers in more than one voltage?

Did anyone else notice the little metal piece that trims the excess string? The metal piece is symmetrical like they designed it to be reversed. That'd give you about an extra inch of cut diameter.
