That tool boot seems really hard to come by lately. Did you find it?

Nah, I got one of the last ones on Amazon before they seemingly went extinct.

Then I needed another and ordered from NPH Powertools which I think is also Jenson (can't swear to it). It's been weeks and nothing. They claimed to have it in stock but I finally got an email saying its on back order.

Wow, thats an almost justifiable purchase for some people.. I would have bought that over the $249 first gen promo.. give it another year they will be $175 and $250..

I know what your saying I went with the original 2130 rocket back in Nov. with 10% off and stacked with the Mil discount of another $25

Would have been a tough call if the gap was only like $50 back then. I surely would have went the other way to get the AC charger advantage and the higher lumens.

But overall I'm still satisfied with my current purchase

I'm wondering if that new mid torque impact is a true pin detent in the sense that you need a tool to remove the socket?

If you look at the Ridgid and Ryobi 1/2" impacts, they are both advertised as having a pin detent, but neither require a tool for socket removal. It's more like a ball retention, just pull the sockets off and insert a new one.

I had 0 issues returning the One Key kits at my local store.

Picked up the M18 Charger Radio today, couldn't resist at $130 using the $200 discount. Solid unit, I really really wish they had build in M12 charging capabilities into it. Would have made it a perfect unit in my opinion. Bluetooth pairs easy, gets nice and loud with good sound quality. Should work well, need to build a mount on the tractor for it and life will be sweet.

Dunno the pin does look more rounded on the end than earlier ones they had a distinct flat cut

Looking at operator's manual pdf they do say you need to manually depress the pin but never really know how accurate those manual are sometimes either.

https://milwaukeetool.com/power-tools/cordless/2860-22

My ball pin needs some persuasion to release many impacts and its sometimes quicker to depress it than to wrestle around trying to get one loose, but at least it wont get stuck on chrome socket without a hole either.

I have noticed in parts diagrams for different impacts the pin part# has changed several times.

Sure looks like a socket would pull on and off.. I wonder if there's any difference in them being called a pin lock, or pin detent. I'm not motivated enough to start looking around - but seem funny that Milwaukee would only have one version advertised on their site, and then pick a pin lock style to be the first over a friction ring. Time will tell.

Anyone have the M18 Compact Blower? Looking at it for just blowing leaves out the of the garage and the barn, I imagine it should be able to handle that pretty well.

Not quite following ya :headscrat

There are 2 versions to be soon available with the mid impact. The 2861 is the friction ring and 2860 is the pin. Why its different than using the old "B" designation is anyone's guess but originally "B" was ball pin over the just plain pin in the 26xx 1/2 anvil series (was no ring style available except for the 3/8" only) and in the 27xx the B designation was now for ring style and ball pin was discontinued.

Definitely pretty confusing :wtf:

Kinda happy the Rocket2 at 299 does not work with the 150/200 promo or I would have a hard time saying no to that.

Yes I use it for blowing debris out of the garage. I also use it to blow dirt and sawdust off of tools. Another use is blowing off pollen from the deck or a car that was left outside.

Pumpkin aka Radius Light also price cut to $199 on HD

I found CPO a bit disappointing this morning.

The free shipping doesn't apply to recon.
They're completely out of M12 3.0's
They're completely out of M12 6.0's
Their search engine doesn't even recognize the 2754/2755 boot 49-12-0012

I have one. I use it to blow out the garage or blow off the patio. I've also used the provided inflator tips many times to blow up an air mattress both at home and while camping. I've also taken it with me to the car wash to blow water out of the mirrors, grille and wheels after washing. Actually is quite versatile.

The little blower is what got me to go from Rigid to Milwaukee. I use it for drying off the motorcycle :3gears: , blowing out the garage and blowing off the zero turn.

Great little unit, could be better if it were brushless (Fuel)

Tomorrow my first 2797-22 kit arrives from Acme, will be interesting because about 4 months ago I ordered that kit from Rural King, shipped from Milwaukee directly and what I got in the box was 2897-22 kit.

Well this thread got me. I have been using and old 19.2 porter-cable drill. I have used porter cable for at least 20 yrs and have several 19.2 tools. I have been looking for newer drills and drivers for some time and your posts got me looking at the new Milwaukee stuff.
Yesterday I ordered the 2897-22 kit and the free 2780-20F grinder from Acme. I have two Dewalt 5" grinders that get used pretty heavy and I am hoping that the Milwaukee is close to their performance.

Too bad the $430, 2899-22 kit which has the Fuel Surge "impact" doesnt get any discount with a 2nd tool like the 2897 / 2797 etc. Ive got an old 2663 for heavy torque jobs.
On Ebay the regualr Fuel impact is about $90 & the Surge is only $120. 30 more. :headscrat

I'm thinking about the HD deal for the now $350 2897-22 & maybe the 6.5" saw. Total comes to $318 for both.

It will have no problem with that.. I think I had mine for a month before I even realized it was only on medium, and the 3 speed switch was on the handle.. 100cfm is a lot for something so small and cordless. Dewalt and makita sell the same blower.. its power hungry though, like anything else that's a high output tool under constant use..

I'm hoping this mid torque impact gives way to a high torque 3/8"... I would def buy that.. the 1/2" seems nice but I'd want the 3/8" instead..

That radius light price and rocket light #2 price has entered the realm of possibility.. btw, anyone that disagreed with the buy/return promo thing shouldn't feel too bad. We all overpaid.. lol

if it was some small local guy selling from his store, i would have a problem. hd is a big store, and if they can't figure out to add text to the sales slip that say something to the effect that if you return one, you have to return both, i dont feel bad for them.

bought one of those little M12 vacuums (0850-20) on sale at hd while i was there to clean up dog hair. it seems to work well enough at that i am satisfied with the purchase. seems to have plenty of power for the size, and after 10 minutes of continuous running, still had all the battery lights light on the 2 AH battery i was using.

After seeing another thread with an old Ridgid vac, I'm kinda wishing the m18 wet dry vac came with some wands and a place to store them along side the box.. oh well. Maybe the next model..

It woulda been just like one of those handheld Orecks they use to give people for free with the purchase of their uprights.. I actually have 2 of those laying around..

Also, I have a prediction that Milwaukee is going to come out with an edger and brush cutter head for the string trimmer....,

Mind if I do a quick little poll? I'm curious who's got a ton of batteries? Personally I have a total of 52AH in 9 batteries. I think I'm at the point where I wouldn't benefit from having any more. Being used or not, they have a finite shelf life.

My battery supply varies, right now I have;

M18 - 4x9.0, 2x5.0, 4x4.0, 1x3.0, 2x2.0
M12 - 10x2.0, 3x3.0, 2x4.0
Plus 2 knockoff M12 1.5 which I only use in the little incan and LED worklight and only charge in a M12 charger not used for anything else.

I go back and forth on which and how many I need, after testing the yard tools I decided I need 4 9s not 3.

M18 - 1x9.0, 4x3.0, 1x2.0
M12 - 2x4.0, 1x3.0(compact), 3x2.0, 3x1.5

My go to batteries are the 3.0 for the M18 and 2.0 for the M12. I don't really have a use for the 9.0, but don't want to get rid of it. The 2763 is already borderline too heavy for me with the 3.0 and has plenty of capacity to change wheels/tires on 4 cars each spring/fall. If I am using an M12 light I will use the 4.0 as it tends to stay on for a while.

I guess the 9.0 would be good in the octagon flood flight, but I have an older version with the thicker cross bar that doesn't allow the 9.0 to fit. Haven't had a chance to get to Milwaukee to order the updated cross bar.

Nice! I just sold my ego blower. But I am trying to maximize my savings lol only way to save is to order the blower kit $279 (sell 9.0 battery for $100, sell Rapid charger for $40) minus the $25 off promo discount from acme. Keeping blower at $114. I just don't want to deal with flakers for the savings off $35 lol If I buy tool alone I am only saving like $3 cause it doesn't qualify for free shipping lol

Maybe I'll wait till end of the month and see what other promo's acme will offer lol now I regret not ordering it when they had the 20% discount.

I'd imagine these prices might drop mid season. If they make it attractive enough I might be interested in the string trimmer..

Yeah that too. I got the trimmer kit for $248.17. Sold the battery and charger. Got to keep the trimmer for $108! Addiction to Milwaukee and savings. #firstworldproblems

Speaking of savings. M18 jobsite radio down In price and qualifies for $200 off combo discount.

Tempting at $121.99 plus tax at Home Depot.

When you get around to it, call their tech support not cust service, CS will just fwd you to tech. Make sure you have the serial number handy and give them the model 2361 number. Think someone mentioned they paid $5 for it, mine is being sent for free.
