I have the 46" tool chest combo, and just got my FoamFitTools trays for the Craftsman 311 piece mechanics set.

They custom sized them to the drawers, which leaves plenty of room for me to route in the breaker bars I have, along with a few other misc tools. That said, I'll be going back to them for much more in the near future.

Top drawer, 3/8" ratchet set

Next, wrenches

I have A LOT more organizing to do as I get the garages under control this spring, but this is a great start.

Heres the part I received and packing slip, label on the bag says "New hang bar". Like I said before Milwaukee did not charge me for the part or shipping. Part number is 31011586. I provided the tech support rep with the lights serial number.

So not to beat a dead horse here but I thought I would pass on my very last correspondence from ACME C.S and the interaction on my behalf with their Milwaukee representative. Just came email I wasn't even expecting additional responses since the last time

"Hello,

Thank you for reaching out with those pictures and waiting while we waited for an update from the manufacturer. I got confirmation today from our Rep at Milwaukee that the 9.0AH will not fit for the floodlights and they don't currently have any plans of making a handle that does fit. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns."

Jobs done, and light didnt blow up. Remove screw on each side for the hang bar, then remove all the screws on the side without the handle, pull cover off and the hang bar comes out. But the new one goes in with the key hole on the other side.

There was a $2.10 pending charge on my card after ordering. The charge doesn't show in my online activity anymore. It's not pending, it hasn't been charged, and there's no refund shown.

I'm puzzled, but not complaining!

I dunno I guess I would have to try it out first to see what it really can do. If it's mainly for lug nuts probably will be all you may need. I'm really looking forward to having one myself too, but I never thought about getting rid of my 2763 that's been great when needed for tractors/implements work. but I agree you more than likely wouldn't need the 1/2" compact. I could possibly even dump the 3/8 compact as have the M12 Fuel.

Yeah I hear ya. I think I'm gonna pick it up from HD and see how I like it. I may end up preferring my 2755B/2763 combo, who knows. At least I'll have a painless return with HD if that's the case.

Thks for clarifying things about that 2754.

No problem

Got an oil filter wrench today via ebay
I got the oil filter wrench a couple months ago. I bought it for use in the kitchen to use opening jar lids, for which it's the perfect shape. I'm getting to the age where arthritis in my thumbs is starting to really reduce my grip strength. I use a pair of ChannelLocks for smaller jars and the oil filter pliers for big ones like peanut butter jars etc.

Like they say, "getting old ***** but it beats the alternative."

That's interesting. We keep a small rubber strap wrench for my wife for that but it's sort of a PITA to use. Now I need to order a second Milwaukee.

Unreal response hey. I responded with exactly that info you guys are posting and either their rep contact is woefully misinformed or just doesn't want to his job.

Thanks for the pics too :D

So Ryobi and Ridgid both have cordless trim routers, and cordless belt sanders now.. I'd expect to see both of those soon from Milwaukee..

Also, just stumbled across a YouTube channel - guy has 711 subscribers, and Ridgid reached out and sent him basically their entire Gen 5x line to review.. sometime I wonder why I bother buying tools when these companies are so willing to send anyone on YouTube tools for free airtime..

One day, recently, I stop at my local Home Depot, and the Milwaukee Tool rep's truck is parked near the front door. I had some questions, and wanted to talk with him, so I go to the tool dept. and ask a couple guys there if the Milwaukee Tool rep guy is available and if I can talk with him and ask him some questions. And everybody I talk to in the store looks at me like I just asked to have tea and crumpets with a Unicorn. NOBODY, and I mean NOBODY in the freakin' store even knows that there is a Milwaukee Tool rep there -- anywhere. What was he doing? Just parking his truck out front for effect?
So I guess the post about the Milwaukee Rep not knowing something about a replacement part is not much of a surprise -- since my Home Depot doesn't even know when one is in their store.

Haha that's funny. Now come to think of it I also have seen a Milwaukee truck in the parking lot of the Home Depot near here on the few occasions I frequent the place but I never have noticed a person in the store either, and I always check out the tool crib when I'm there too. :headscrat

Why two circular saws?

Just two? lol

I have 2 cordless Milwaukees (both M18 Fuels), a cordless Ryobi (5.something inch) and a corded Bosch wormdrive.

Got the Ryobi in a clearance HD deal forever ago before I bought the Milwaukees. Got the Milwaukees with the promo HD keeps running every year (credit towards second tool). Got the Bosch when I had to cut stair stringers, before FUEL stuff was on the market.

Its official, I think the M18 Fuel Leaf Blower *****. Played around with it a bit today, put a 4.0 & 9.0 pack on it and I cant say the difference is noticeable, though it did knock out 1 light on the 4.0 in 90 secs, so a 9.0 is a must with the yard tools. The weed wacker while I can nit pick a few things will do the job just fine.

I would go as far as say the new blower is just a larger shop blower, I feel the old blower is more powerful LOL. What sealed its fate is when the 9.0 was on it I put my hand in front of the airflow, it felt so weak, I could cover the hole with my hand with no effort. On my Husqvarna gas blower you need to use quite a bit of effort to cover the hole.

Will I use it, yes. Will I use my gas blower more, yes. Do I regret buying it, if I didnt get the ultimate deal on it the answer would be yes.

If you are considering it, I would wait until you see it in action. HD is suppose to have some demo days I think in March for the M18 yard tools.

Too bad...

Someone here some posts back mentioned that they wanted to use it for drying off their car (after a wash). I've never thought of using something like a blower for this task, but it seems like a clever idea...do you think it has the cajones and runtime to do that on say, a compact or midsize car? Maybe not a perfect job but a pretty decent job?

I've used my M18 Compact blower to assist in drying off the car (midsize SUV) several times. It does a nice job blowing out the window sills, mirrors, wheels, grille and other nooks and crannies where water seems to hide and then run out as soon as you drive away from the car wash.

If Dacan23 is saying the new M18 Fuel blower might not even be as powerful as the compact, well that's a big bummer. I was thinking about getting one just to have an even more powerful blower option.

Interesting on the blowers. I'm still eyeing the Ryobi 40V kit, clearanced at HD right now for $119 but I think it'll drop further. I've got a ton of Ryobi 40V batts for their string trimmer & chainsaw so it's much cheaper than the new Milwaukee stuff.

Down the bike shop we've used a corded blower for years to dry off motorcycles that had been washed and cleaned after being serviced. I have the original M18 blower its been handy for certain amount of jobsite cleanup and sure beats using a broom and dustpan if can help it but its its definitely no replacement for an outdoor tool

Wow to hear the new outdoor blower hasn't got any serious oomph that doesn't sound good at all. Wouldn't doubt its power hungry and could drain a battery quick but one bar in 1 1/2 min!: eek:

I haven't even looked at the specs on any of the yard tools at all yet...does it have selectable power/speed settings ?

Thats kinda what I was using it for, was 55 today and decided to clean some rims I took off recently and blow water off the driveway since tomorrow is a big snow storm. I was not impressed with it blowing water off the driveway and I dont think it did a better job than the compact blower in getting water off the rims after I washed them.

It is MORE powerful, it just doesnt feel like it. The compact has a much smaller nozzle. I have used to compact for the same task and it did not feel like the big boy did the job any better. The compact is 160mph and 100cfm.

I was in HD today and I checked out all the specs on the cordless blowers and they vary in speed from 90-155mph and volume 200-575cfm. The M18 is 100mph and 450cfm I think, perhaps the nozzle should be a little smaller to increase the force, it just doesnt seem like it has any balls.

It has a variable trigger with lockability. Yeah I think on a 9.0 your 20-30 mins, so on a 4.0 its less than half that. I'm gonna stick fully charged batteries on it soon, lock on full and time the longevity of each pack.

The new EGO 56v seems to be the top at 142mph and 575cfm.... about what I expected from Milwaukee, 100mph is wussy for a blower. I think they should make one you stick 2x9.0s on it.

Corded and Cordless. The Corded is about 24 years old. Bought the cordless for service calls and portability. I bought the case for the corded because, well, because I like cases.

Interested in any cases for your drills?

I have blow mold cases for the following

2796 m18 impact/hammer drill kit
2597 m12 impact/hammer drill kit
2704 m18 drill kit

I saw these three trucks at HD a few weeks ago and was thinking maybe I could get a banner or something out of one of them and guess what..........none of the reps in site. Employee told me they were doing a "reset" whatever that involves they were defiantly not near any red tools for at least the 45 minutes I hung around.

I used a hand powered one and have to say, its a PITA to do! Im not a pro, just needed an extra opening in a metal box. The hardest part was getting something to hold the box in place while I tightened the punch. I was lifting the corner of my workbench off the floor with the box clamped into a vise!

Cordless would make it much easier, but I plan on doing it exactly 0 more times in my life so even I couldnt justify it :)

I have to agree 100%. I am really under impressed with the power output. I feel if the nozzle was a little smaller it would have more velocity. I ordered it during the ACME 17% sale. I got it for $130ish. At that price I'll probably just keep it. I agree on the string trimmer as well. I think it'll do just fine for what I need.

I talked to the one at Home Depot and he said he was walking through every aisle in the store verifying any ryobi, rigid, milwaukee signage is correct. He said store can put the card board boxes with special items on them where they like but then when those items/specials end he has to hunt them down. So even if you see trucks dont just look in the tool dept although he wasn't wearing anything special to know who he was I just seen him get out of truck and talked to him as he walked in.

Last time I talked to a TTI rep at HD, he had a Ryobi truck outside and a Ridgid jacket on. The guy was pretty blown away when I approached him and started talking about Milwaukee tools. No swag and no info, I got the feeling I was a little more up on new tools and such than he was.

This is mostly what I have taken out of my collection to use in the aviation field. I also have a lot of tools I used when I was an industrial electrician. Super Hole Hawg, Hole Hawg, Magnum drill, 28v Cordless bandsaw, etc.

You guys really have to see the build thread of that converted HF cabinet she has posted.. what she made is very impressive...
