I like the cordless because I can be "out-standing-in-my-field" not for weight. I was thinking about a metabo but I guess I will go for stock. It looks almost as nice.

KC...there is a hardline fixed blade knife version.

Many things in there did not hear from the posts while it was going on.

Liking that magnetic angle gauge pocket level now along with the new USB lights

And those palm coated/nylon backed gloves are a lot like different ones I use now.

Looks like just plain (non heated) hoodies too finally coming. Picture just seems to show black, lets hope for some other colors.

Size of the new High Torque sure looks good too!

Dang you Milwaukee

5/16- 18 thread is like my old Craftsman Industrial grinder has

Guess that spring like look on end of the Milwaukee fuel handle is supposed to give some type of vibration dampening

Interesting about the weight of the handle...never gave it much thought.

My dinky lil' 4" Makita has handle that bolts on underneath with couple of metric screws You have to remove the disc and guard to take it off. Now that is a funky setup.

Still waiting for some type of M12 powered cutoff tool though :D

So my FedEx delivery gal just came with the water transfer pump and the accessories I ordered up a few days ago from ACME.

Interesting to find that the dedicated single battery M18 AC/DC charger is quite a bit larger than the standard AC only dual voltage charger that comes with most M18 kits. Guessing its because of the built in inverter part of the design.

Closer look

ACME has these units at $99 but don't know if they're any cheaper some other places

And I'm recalling my 400 watt AC Delco power invertor with both battery clips and power outlet adapter was around $40

My 300 watt cheap inverter doesn't like regular m18 volt charger. I'm going to buy a milwaukee car charger, friday night I had 4 chargers going after working in a place all week with no power. By Saturday morning I had charged 9 batteries. Thinking one in service vehicle will allow me to keep up with charging so I'm not looking thru every case looking for a good battery:thumbup:

Just looked at one on Zoro, says its only good for 3 amp/hr batteries. What happens when you put a 4 or a 5 on it?

Get a higher rated inverter, pop your hood and clamp to positive terminal and body bolt. Or hardwire in if you always drive a certain vehicle.

You'll be fine, it'll just take longer to charge them (just like any charger). When that charger was released, I believe the biggest battery was the 3.0XC - they simply haven't updated their product description.

I do not believe there is a built in inverter. I'm going to guess that the plug is actually a wallwart transformer or even a more efficient switch mode power supply (similar to your iPhone or iPad charger) that converts 120VAC to ~12VDC. The male cigarette lighter plug is obviously ~12VDC already so it likely bypasses the transformer and goes straight into the charging circuit. The charging circuit then takes the ~12VDC and boosts it up to an ultimate ~20VDC by the end of the charge (with all the CC/CV lithium fun in between).

So I bet all the AC/DC magic happens right at the end of that fancy plug. The unit itself is "big" because it has older components that aren't as small as more modern ones.

I didn't get a good look at it as it was a gift and still in the package when my friend picked it up today maybe I should have got the Milwaukee scissors to open all packages too :D but from what I could see that plug end doesn't seem like any wally wart transformer.

Maybe KC can say he said he has one

I never had a problem using my 400W inverter with these Milwaukee chargers or my older Makita or even my HF unit and I have two now to use, one just for the M 12 140W and the heavier output one for the multi charger. I know Milwaukee says in the manual a MINIMUM of 300w for the muti charger but when you do the math it is pretty borderline

I would still like Milwaukee DC unit but I am not shelling out almost $100 for that one no way maybe with a good sale discount sure

Did anyone have an answer to the question about a dc multicharger...is there one coming ?

Man I put that 2771 transfer pump thru a workout again today....used up 2 full bars on a 9.0 even sucked up some sandy mud too today when my pickup hose end shifted on me in the brook and settled itself on sand bar though it blew right thru and I flushed it out good after that and again with more clean fresh water when just home.

Cant beat that tool my friend was SOOO happy she had been playing around with 12v auto battery and 12v terminal clip pump wasn't happy with results, she didn't have a steady charging connection back to her truck plus that battery alone must weigh at least twice as much as the whole Milwaukee setup combined.

I ran the small Milwaukee M12 speaker on the job today (still cranking in garage right now too) and its been easily running for like over a solid 6 hours now on a just a single compact M12 battery

Dunno if there are printed specs out yet :dunno:

This is pretty good video though 1400/1000 ftlbs

Doesn't quite say how many modes but in the video looks like 4 mode lights on the tool that I can see, not quite sure if that is One Key version though.

Lot of info found in this video too

Redesigned hammer and shorter overall length

Looks like one of new modes designed for a full torque breakaway then slower removal of a fastener.

Thy also claim you will be able to dial in a more accurate and repeatable fastening torque with the One Key count

Yea I don't think anything at all is going on in the plug end of that ac/dc charger.. it's a big charger for a single battery. Also, I've had trouble with mine in the 12v form if the power was split at the power port. Couldn't have 3 things plugged in at once or the charger would error out. Other than that, it's fine. I've had a standard m18/m12 charger going off a HF inverter without issue for quite a while. At $39 (for the 400 watt) the inverter is a cheaper option.

In other news, I'm on a bit of an extended leave from my regular job. Hopefully only temporary, but time will tell. Anyway - started working for another company 2 weeks ago. Place is MUCH smaller, but they are growing. Had a company meeting Friday, and one of the owners called me into his office to ask how thinks we're going, and to say they basically want me to pick out all their future tools and equipment for them as far as "line work" is concerned. Lol.. I told him I'm REALLY good at spending other people's money. my first Milwaukee list was left on his desk today. They even gave me a company credit card too, which can be dangerous. lol.. Not sure if he realizes what he's in for.

Well HD has a sale going on a "heavy duty" rotary hammer kit that comes with 2 9.0 batteries in the kit, and a 3rd 9.0 for free with a fast charger in the kit. That, and the 7/16 hex drive high torque impact were on my list of recommendations. My plan is try to move them into cordless lighting, and professional tools instead of all this ******** they are using now.. it's aggravating to do ANYTHING at this place with what they use.. I'm hoping I'm not here long, but gotta prepare to stay just in case things don't work out at my old company.

Th 15ga M18 is a great gun. I'm not sure about the other ones, but they did that one right... Not to mention almost 800 nails on a single 2.0 battery.

last night i got a 2781-20 from ebay for 140$ (155$ minus a 15$ off 75$ or more.)

anywayyyyyyyyy the first job in the queue is leaning up the rust on a mack truck dump bed, and then cleaning up a 30 ton flatbed trailer.

do you folks have any specific recommendations on what to use? i am actually looking for "try the wire cup Fleabeards sells" or something like that. i am looking for that schweet spot between great price and quality consumable.

thanx.

I don't think I could handle the windup sound the Dewalt and some others cordless nailers make all the time.

My 2742 works just fine and the more I use it the more I'm liking it.

I have never owned a Dewalt cordless tool I generally had all Makita tools back in the day when Dewally was all the rage on jobsites...took a lot of **** for that then.

I like Milwaukee tools and I am waiting for the Fuel Jigsaw. But in the meantime, I would like to know if someone has the Jigsaw and how do they like the feel and how does it perform? Example the ease of adjustments, toolless blade change or not, choice between straight up and down and orbital.

I have had the M18 Jigsaw for a few years. Works great, adjustable, easy to change blades. I don't use my Bosch 120V Jigsaw anymore.

Lol. I bought the framing nailer because I was fineshing my bas meant and Milwaukee did not come to market with a Fuel version. I'm glad I went Dewalt for the nailers because they are far better then Milwaukee's.

On a second note... look what I found at the Home Depot. Yes I already have one but look at that price!!!! With TWO 9 amp hour batteries as well!!

Again, no they are not... At least not the 15 ga nailers.

The advantage DeWalt does have is that it has the framer though.

Are you referring to the M18 15 ga *angled* nailer, being better than the rest of their line?

Any small cordless wire crimpers? Like for 22ga down to 10ga wires?

I have around 1000 crimps to make and am not looking forward to doing them all by hand
