I sell new 5.0s normally $65-70 and even less for good customers. Every Milwaukee battery I sell is almost half of the retail price, 60% at most, 40% is the bottom.

i wish these were around me for that price ! anyone want to pick one up for me ? i will pay shipping.

Yeah seriously that's a pretty crazy price. Are they the straight or the angle nailer? I'm gonna stop at HD on the way home to be sure there aren't any at my local store (I don't even think I've seen the M18 nailers there before). If there aren't any, anyone wanna hook some brothers up?

16 ga straight nailer.

The angled version was down to 229 on the website a couple weeks ago, I think. The week before that, the 15 ga angled was down to 229 as well.

Model 2741 was the $100 model, kit with 2.0, if it did hit 100 in any store, bout 1% chance of finding one. Even the pneumatic Milwaukee is on clearance, still think somethings up.

I agree....its odd how many sales and clearances they are running on these. I didnt see any improved models at milwaukee's recent new product show, so I wonder if HD is just going to stop carrying them altogether.

Between negative ratings (possibly undeserved, but negative nonetheless) and high prices, they probably arent that great of a seller. Especially with the much cheaper Ryobis right next to them on the shelf.

Im curious to see if the brad nailer drops too.

Alright, thought I had a second, but he decided to pass.

Anyone interested in going in on halves with me on this? Buy 2 (select) bare tools, get two free batteries and a bag. I don't need the bag, but would like the battery. If anyone wants one of these tools and would like to go in halves with me, please let me know. I'm going for the mid torque 1/2" impact, personally.

Milwaukee's done this before - their 14" dry cut chop saw was a bomb and they just abandoned it, then they completely abandoned all the new style D-handle saws (ie the 14" abrasive also). They do it quietly and with no explanation.

You can still get the straight handle abrasive, and that's it.

edit: I take it back! Looks like the 6180 just came out and it's back to a D-handle!

I got the 16g kit a few weeks ago when it was $229 at HD. So far its been great and Ive used it on several projects in the house. Its is a heavy unit, but the being cordless makes it worth it

Speaking of MidTorque, you all will be glad to know I finally used mine this past weekend, 2 cars summer tire changeover, better late than never! Anyways I was surprised how fast it removed the lugs, noticeably faster than the 2763 monster. Mode 1 got me to about 70+ ft-lb, didnt take much with the torque wrench to tighten, guess not having mode 4 isnt that bad....

That clearance price on the 16 ga nailer has just got to be an HD thing. Most places like ACME still have them and at full price too. IMO you cant judge a market by WTF Home Depot does.

I agree what chrisexv6 about clearance I think its a its a loss for HD. since they are Ryobi and Rigid capitol USA. I also agree to what ThatSickRip said its bit heavy especially compared to an air nailer the others aren't light weights either remember, but that is the nature of the beast its a self contained but you get used to it if you use the tool for any length of time.

Kind of like the 2763 You get used to it

And I am totally happy with both tools I own

Dacan I can hardly believe the Mid Torque did it faster unless the RPM is higher :D

Me and my bud went to our local HD today, I sized the performance gloves once again (ACME wouldn't deal with me on size with the Work Skin t shirt offer) and I also looked at the nailers the 18 was still available full price but the 16 straight was gone. I almost think they may be dropping that design over the the angled version but who knows :dunno:

I absolutely hate Home Depot...my contractor buddy pointed how in my store they had the Ryobi bare tool sticker for $99 in front of the Milwaukee. We were looking for slot board. Even asked two of orange vests working there, neither even knew what it was.

FYI my boss has commanded me to set a wallboard tool display in our new barn store for this market season.

At the same time we called two actual lumber yards in the same vicinity and got two quotes on callback in the same time that both of these guys were either smart phone searching o running around the store.

My Home Depot has the price sticker for a bare jigsaw on the jigsaw kit sign. I'm tempted to make them honor the price but they don't have the jigsaw kit in stock and I have never seen it there either. For the most part they only have bare tools.

Max RPM of the 2763 is 1700, Max of 2861 is 2400. Mid is really an impressive tool, max RPM of the 2754 is 2500 but less than half of the Mids power.

The 2754 is pretty amazing also....so far it has done everything I needed....haven't needed the 2763 yet....I will be doing some 8 lug wheels soon for my truck and trailer...it will probably be used for that.

I tore a leaf spring off a light duty (5 lug, 3500#) trailer axle last night. The 2754 made an admirable effort on the u-bolts (1/2-20) and spring eye bolts (9/16-18) but couldn't quite get either one.

Of course once fine thread gets dirty it's all over but the cryin'

2763 did fine but you won't be re-using those fasteners again LOL (not that I planned on it)

I finally got around to editing and posting my """review""" of the Milwaukee Tick.

It didn't go real well. I wish I had gotten it for 9$ instead of 29$. It doesn't make a very effective paperweight and at that price it's competing with some premium paperweights.

They say those bolts shouldn't ever be reused anyway.....I wouldn't know anyone that would. ;) Lol

Sent from my XT1635-01 using Tapatalk

I've totally re-used spring eye bolts on trucks if they were good (which is rare). They're not TTY so it's dictated solely by condition. I never re-use u-bolts and you never should.

In other news got my $105 Real McCoy 9.0 from an Amazon seller today. Looks legit, shows no signs of use, charges fine. Has date code of 2nd week of '17. If prices stay like this in the secondary market I dunno why anyone would shop knock-offs

The M18 fan is probably the greatest milwaukee item I own (and thanks to this thread I own a lot).

Spent a track weekend at national corvette museum motorsports park with my father. It was his first track day and it was 105 degree ambient, with a 116 heat index. The M18 fan lasted from 9am-4pm two days in a row on a single 9.0 battery.

It followed me all weekend. Had to fix a rubbing brake line sitting on 120f pavement....no big deal, just carry the fan to the car and put it next to me. Sitting in a chair in between sessions...just set the fan on the ground and angle it up at your face.

I can honestly say that without the fan I would have packed up and went home.

Now, they REALLY need to make a portable inflator. If they would do that, than I would be on a single battery system for all of my track needs - inflator, lighting, tools, and fan. It would be a dream come true.

Within reason the M18 compact impacts whether a 54 or 55 even a 53 are pretty decent for what they are (so is the Fuel M12 3/8", at least mine is :D) Though they struggled on few different jobs. My 2655B could only get 1 out 4 of the 3/8" pintle hitch mounting bolts off our old F450 dump when I needed to change the over to a ball combo The 2763 got the rest though removed one and broke the other two! I have also failed to remove a few lugnuts with the compact version too. Some I got working hard at it but you have wonder just how much they can take before your creating undue wear

I rarely use a hand tool breaker bar, ratchet for fastener removal anymore on a lot of my jobs if I don't have to. In fact it drives me nuts if I'm around some one who starts dissembling something fairly non critical and starts making dozens of quarter turn revolutions with a ratchet

Didn't realize the mid torque had that much peak RPM that's sweet. Still need to get one.

I went looking for pricing on the 6180 chop saw out of curiosity and it looks like this is the D-handle that was discontinued after all. So apparently they do only offer the straight-handle 6177

I have been using the m18 cordless mitre saw lately and really would like a stand for it. What are you guys using for stands besides the Milwaukee one?
Something with wheels would be nice

If moneys no object the Bosch gravity rise $299 is the best but that much for a stand is outrageous, Rigid has a similar one at $199 that people like, but it has been on HD special for $99 and therefore I couldnt get myself to pay more. The older Milwaukee version is not bad and maybe can still be found for $99 special at Rural King think its being discontinued as a new one is out.

But using the Milwaukee one is 2 bad designs combined. The sliding brackets on the stand has permanent threaded nuts in it, the saw has recessed nut holes, so only way to mount is from top down using supplied cap screws with no washer.

I found something else the 9.0's don't quite fit: the multi-voltage 2790 stereo. It DOES fit you just can't close the door. As the 2790 has now been discontinued (a damn shame as it'll run on M12, M18 or M28 or AC) Milwaukee would consider it a non-issue

Be careful what you get. Balance is an issue. If I set my saw on the Craftsman stand where the rollers were even with the fence it would tip over backwards. Only the front half of the rollers were usable.

I think I got mine from Zoro with a 20% off coupon. It ended up in some way being a little lower than I could find it elsewhere. If you aren't in Illinois you also don't pay tax so that's a bonus. The jobsite fan is pretty awesome though, it has a fairly concentrated beam of air but I carry it with me basically the whole time I'm working outside, moving it around to always be pointed at me and it makes a big difference.

Anyone have a Zoro 20% off coupon code?

How do people feel about the surge? There is a really good deal on CPO...

Buy the surge kit for 329 and get the fuel hammer drill and an extra 5.0 battery.

So for 329 you get:
Surge
2704 drill
3 5.0 batteries
Charger
Case for surge.

This seems to me like a really good deal but I have heard some people say that they like the fuel impact driver better than the surge.

That is a sweet deal. I would be tempted if I didn't already have the M18 Fuel impact. However, I do not really like the M18 Fuel impact very much... I much prefer the M12 Fuel, so the M18 just sits there mostly.

I posted one yesterday in the Zoro hot deals thread, dk if its been used

there is a thread for that in the Hot Deals section. usually, zoro codes start with a "spend 200$" to get any percentage off. they also often will only offer it on selected categories . . . . .

Thanks for the help guys. I just got the Milwaukee Jobsite Fan (0886-20) for $67.42 delivered.

When I looked in the Zoro "Hot Deals" thread I was concerned that my order for a $84.27 fan didn't hit the minimum for the discount. However, I saw a "JUNESTOCK8" code on a previous post that provided 20% off and was good until early August. The minimum was $50, you had to register on the Zoro site and it was one-time -use per account. Anyway, this beats the $79 plus shipping from ACME. Amazon was over $100!

Nice! I just used the same code and got it for $70.99 shipped (got $3.57 in tax). Thanks for the code!
