Hmmm my clutch works perfectly... I did a project recently in soft wood and a setting of 1 worked perfectly... I even tried to screw it up, so to speak... as it was my test of the 2402... I didn't strip a single screw. Even when I used slightly smaller replacement fasteners.

I was redoing an outside kitchen cooler with all stainless fasteners... replaced about 30 or so hinge and handle screws... #8 1/2" and #8 3/4"
I think he is working with screws that are really tiny like 1/4 in long maybe 1/16 in diameter screwed into plastic. The kind on electronics.

That's what I was afraid of.... I'm looking for a power screwdriver for more delicate stuff like metric hex screws on rc cars. I was trying to stay with Milwaukee because i already have so many m12/m18 batteries, but I think i'll have to look at other brands. The brushed m12 version I already have is also too powerful on the lowest clutch setting.

I know what you mean and the Fuel version will be way way too powerful. Unfortunately this is an M12 void as far as I am aware. I use my old 12v litheon gen 1 Bosch screwdriver for these tasks. These were much weaker by today's standards, but perfect for screw driving tasks (being that it is a screwdriver). Maybe you could find a used one of those.

Well I'm not.

I am talking about normal screw-driving tasks. Obviously not driving 3" deck screws into undrilled wood as that is impact driver territory, but anything else around the house and in the car... typical assembly type stuff.

The M12 Fuel is basically just a hex head slapped on the standard 1/2" Fuel drill. It is way too powerful for assembly and around the house/car type tasks. If I bring it to do interior work on my car, I will strip out just about every fastener in there if I let it tighten until the clutch engages... even on setting 1.

Forgot to post this other day, lame HD promo. But they dont have this kit, they have one with drill, impact, hackzall, radio and light. That kit was 249/299 maybe around Nov and I got it with the $200 OK return promo before they excluded it.

Saw the kit in the rafters last week and was like WTF, thought it might ring up uber cheap but 399, and in HD computer for the UPC it shows diff kit.

Thanks for all the replies/suggestions on lower powered screw driver options. I'm going to home depot tomorrow to see if I can try out the dewalt max 8v screwdriver. I pains me to switch brands considering I have probably 10-12 m12 batteries lying around.....

This maybe a better alternative for your needs

Has anyone come up with a storage solution for the 0884-20 Compact Blower?
Its one of my most used Milwaukee tools yet I have been yet to come up with a worthwhile storage idea

I just sent my 0884-20 blower off for warranty repair as the speed control switch stopped working. I know it's a variable speed trigger but for blowing off my miter saw I like to just set it on low and leave it.

Anyway they sent me back an entirely NIB blower with all accessories, etc. I guess they're not worth opening up to repair.

I don't really have a great storage solution, no. I'd make a custom little rack for wall mount sort of like for shop vacs and their attachments

I also sent in my dead 2710 M18 AC/DC charger. It was dated '11 and thus out of warranty. I asked if they'd consider fixing it anyway but I didn't get it back, so I guess that's a no. That's ok, I can't be upset if it's out of warranty. Their "Lightning Max Repair" charge is $98.28 but I can buy a new one for $99 all day long. edit: $91 on Toolup right now

Speaking of, does anyone here actually have the new 48-59-1810 DC-only combo charger?

Have you tried charging a 9.0 on it? I still kinda think a 9.0 killed my 2710 - or at least that's when it died after successfully charging three 1.5/2.0's throughout the day. edit: it's not vehicle battery voltage

If only the new charger weren't DC only I'd already own it.

Yeah, like M28, M4 isn't officially dead but it's dormant.

I agree with earlier comments that it'd be cool if they could work M4 into things like headlamps.

TTI already has a model from Ryobi Tek4 which was a kick *** little platform and they did a great job of utilizing it for low voltage things like stud finders, distance measures, laser levels etc. I always thought Tek4 was a victim of poor marketing and both Ryobi and HD just not caring enough to push it to the buying public. Tek4 made a little pistol grip screwdriver, too but I don't recall if it had clutch settings? And technically Tek4 never has to to be dead 'cause they offered an adapter that would just hold three AAA's you provide.

I have one of the Harbor Freight metal wall cabinets hanging over my toolbox. I keep spray paint/painting supplies in one section, detailing products in the middle and my Milwaukee blower and vac plus accessories in the third.

So its definitely something internal hey. Any speculation to maybe why the 9.0 would burn it out somehow like too lengthy of a constant charge time so maybe overheated something?

I will be closely following the weekly job performance of the unit I just gave my landscaper friend. Last week I also gave an her additional 120 ac multi charger I had kicking around for just in case. I recently got two more earlier this season one with the finish nailer kit and one with the drywall screw gun kit

(I'm kinda getting tired of having all these chargers too lol! I think really need a some of the multi battery charging stations. :D )

I ended up buying the dewalt 8v lithium gyroscopic screwdriver. Works great and the clutch is super light on the lower settings. I'll stop talking dewalt in the Milwaukee thread now............

I'll take it on that side trip too. I have one of those Dewalt gyroscopics too. It's a great tool for light work.

Anyone run into issues ordering the two bare tools, plus free barekit1/2 from Acmetools?

I ordered last night, got an invoice and charged for the two bare tools, then this morning charged for the batteries/bag that was supposed to be free.

Anyone else have this problem?
I have to send them a screenshot of my bank info and wait a couple days for them to correct it :(

Ohio power has all the packout stuff for preorder, just search for packout. Stumbled upon it scouring for an item to trigger free ship on DaCan 4+ star deal.

I tried to find the heat gun today for grins, but couldn't. I know I'm early, but hope springs eternal. I could use it, like now.

I'm waiting on the soldering iron. :D

COP has been advertising the packout system for preorder on FB for about a week now

I hear ya, the soldering iron is something I'm sure I'll pick up as part of a promo/percent-off, etc

I'd pay full retail for the heat gun tool-only today. I see the kits are coming with a 5.0 which is good given the draw I imagine these create, but it'll push the price up and I've got more 5.0's and 9.0's than I can count.

It's sad that they're selling the water pump kit with the old XC 3.0's.....I think they're just trying to get rid of ancient battery stock LOL

The Milwaukee addiction thread! 😊

Heat gun and soldering iron combo kit with no batteries and I'm all over that.

All three fuel ratchets (no batteries) in a combo kit and I'm all over that too

So heres 2 deals I got, M12 3/8 ratchet and M12 mag light both $79 each and the free 2.0s, bag, charger. Two of the M12 mags with free hardline at $99 with free 2.0s etc.

With this M12 build a kit promo, prices on bare tools vary site to site, not sure if some havent factored in price drops yet or what. Seen diff prices on the ratchets, grease gun, mag light, and few other things. Ratchet I got might of beem fluke, they only had stock of 1 or else I would of gotten more.

M12 mags going as gifts, more free hardlines for me!

I'd hold off on the 3/8", you'll want to pay full price for the fuel 3/8" in a few months for the addtl power. The 1/4" would be a good buy at that price.

Not for me, already have both. Will be interesting deals on them clearing out before Fuels arrive, though they might keep both versions around for a while. Fuel ones are gonna be pricey, thinking $149 min for bare tool.

Looking at the 2420-20 / 2520-20 m12 saw pricing model, you might be right - you're looking at $40-60. I'd still argue that it's worth the premium in the 3/8" application. 55ft/lb should be enough to deal with most sub-19mm bolts after you apply the breakaway power. 35fl/lb maybe too little. Actual size may be an issue, the fuel tools can be a bit bigger - ex the 2520 is a whole lot bigger than the 2420 hacksaw, some of this could be due to the longer throw though.

This is the Gerber sharpener I use on mine. It's really cheap but works very well on my 3.5" hardline.. what's nice is it has both fine and course grit.. I always use both sides and the blade comes out like a razor.

You can find it anywhere, this is just the first pic that popped up

Had 2 m18 sawzall delivered to work today.. growing the collection at this new place now lol.. got the Milwaukee wooden tape measure, keyhole saw, and a few sets of the demo screwdrivers too.. off to a good start..
