You can DIY one, haha.

YouTube commenters are funny too, in a sad way.

Speaking of Hercules.. I was in a HF today looking at them. I swear, if the tools said Dewalt on them, nobody would even give them a second glance. They are that nice compared to their old ****.. the Earthquake impacts on the other hand leave much to be desired.. Milwaukee has nothing to worry about. Lol..

Vac - are the 0880 or 0882 m18 vacs worth buying? Looking for something to clean up construction wood bits around the house and pick up french fries in the car. Is one better than the other? Can the 0880 be used as a seat?

I have the compact and its pretty nice but in gonna trade it in for a wet/dry vac because it has an extra 5cfm of suction and it can also be used as a blower. And I've also heard from others that it can be used as a seat.

0880-20 is for sure. I use the heck out of mine for cleaning up cars, small messes in the house, all over the garage. I find that I clean up a lot more than I used to because it's super convenient.

^^^that stool reminds me there's a Milwaukee Orca cooler out there I really want just 'cause.

And there are Milwaukee logo'd folding/camp chairs I want. I've seen 'em on ebay before but just never cared quite enough to pull the trigger.

Just searching this thread for "0880" one of many results, post #8287:

"Nice...just vacuumed clean my entire 3 row SUV with the 0880-20 wet dry vac. All the winter crud sand, gravel, and the what ever was leftover from last season Fall marketing (my boss seems to think I have a farm truck there )

And did it all one the one 9.0 battery! Was down to one bar when I finally looked began to notice the pickup fading some right at the very end. "

Yeah I sold my DeWalt once I got ahold of the Milwaukee 0880-20. With the 9.0 it's even more of a beast! Only down side, is that it got louder with the 9.0 lol that whistle gets a little too high pitch! But works like a champ cleaning Cheerios and food from the kid's seats.

Okay I have looked all over the internet for this possible answer. What is the tightening torque (roughly) of the different modes of the 2754 3/8 impact?

Those specs tend be elusive on the 27xx impacts but they were published for the earlier 26XX model

IMO it should be very similar to the Gen 1, the RPM are the same except for a slight 100 rpm/ipm claimed increase in mode 3 (and that's probably the major factor for the published max rating of 10 lbs over the previous version 210 vs 200)

2654

•Torque: 200 ft-lbs. / 75 ft-lbs / 30 ft-lbs

•RPM: 0-900 /0-1600 /0-2400
•Max no load IPM: 0-3100

2754

•210 ft-lbs max

• RPM: 0-900 RPM/ 0-1,600 RPM 0-2,500 RPM /Auto shut-off
•Max no load IPM: 0-3,200

Just as an FYI my 2754 doesn't reach that max top speed and is slightly under by few 100 rpm even using high amp hr batteries, but my older 2655 surpassed its published rpm rating slightly.

I have checked both of those tools and others with a digital laser tach. Most are right on to spec with fully charged battery

Does anyone have any experience with the hedge trimmer and the 5.0 batteries instead of the 9.0? Ive got a bunch of the 5.0s and the bare tool is $130 cheaper than the 9.0 kit.

You'll be fine with 5.0s. I've used 'em in my hedge trimmer. I prefer the 9.0 for the greater run time, but it's not bad w 5.0's

Rumor has it that my smuggling Milwaukee products into Verizon has now led to a Milwaukee rep meeting with an area manager, and it was suggested Milwaukee make a 5/8 hex drive version of the high torque 7/16 hex drive impact.. I guess that makes me a trend setter..

As others have said, 5.0 will more than do you fine. The 9.0 lasts a long damn time for the work you can get done with it, if you have a bunch of 5.0s, you'll be more than set.

They have a corded one apparently. I'm not in an industry that uses anything 7/16" hex or 5/8" for that matter but I definitely see the logic in not wanting the reaction that a drill can have when getting hung up while up in the air or anything. I always thought that using an impact driver to drill was frowned upon, I didn't know it was the standard for some trades. It's crazy to me that they have a tool for this when it seems a 3/8" square drive impact with a 3/8" square to 7/16" female hex could be used, and for a few dollars as opposed to a few hundred. But then I could see how you'd run the risk of the bit falling off which is another issue itself. Anyways, I guess it isn't that hard to wrap my mind around buying more tools lol. 20c7bf845ddf6d78b8dc2c02a2955012.png

No but no one was 100% on that listing some people were saying that it was out already but it was only on that site. I can't wait for September. Is it the end of September for the fuel ratchets as well? I thought I heard someone say early September on those

No issues. I run 4.0 & 5.0s in all the yard tools except the blower. They get more than enough run time and are much lighter especially when you need to reach out and trim you some shrubs. I can say having a cordless hedge and string trimmer have made life so much easier. I've used the hedge trimmer more this year than I ever did with my corded ones.

So I was just charging up my 9.0 batteries on the rapid charger that came with them. I get a high pitched whine while the charger is on and the batteries and charger get very warm to the touch.

Is this normal, none of my regular chargers do this?

Unfortunately it's normal. I have three rapid chargers (and three 9.0 batteries) and all of the chargers screech and get very warm when charging the 9.0s. Drives me nuts.

I read somewhere in this thread that the six-station rapid charger is dead quiet charging 9.0s.

Thanks, I thought I might have gotten a lemon.

For anyone using a radio or speaker, what do you have and how do you like it? I need something with bluetooth, and really don't need a radio, just ability to stream music/podcasts. I'm torn between the M12/M18 jobsite speaker for $149, or the M18 charging radio for $229. I never listen to the radio so I'd be paying the extra premium just for the charging option.

HD has the 2792-20 radio at $179!!!

I use it everyday and love it. Charges my phone (running on batteries) better than anything else.

My wife uses the speaker everyday in her office (works alone mostly) and loves it.

Dammit, of course the price drops after I bought the regular M18 radio!

Speaker I've heard good and bad on. M12 radio was great for portability, but then the board went on it after a couple of years so I spent an extra $30 or so and replaced it with the M18, which is great, but BIG compared to the M12.

I never use the radio, just plug my phone in and play music and podcasts from it. I'm sure they'll eventually get to a stereo charger with no radio, then I'll be in for one.

I'd think the price of the heat gun may drop also.. I think Ohio tool has offered a few items for presale and then had the price drop slightly afterward..

I'm gonna wait to see if it hits $99.

All the new lights are STILL not available for sale on the hd site. I check everyday. Items are listed but add to cart is not available...

Yea they use some of those.. it's a great impact with the exception of the forward/reverse switch that is about as delicate as an egg.. what's nice is the cord unplugs from the tool, so you can just get a new cord if it gets destroyed. Milwaukee use to make a cordless 5/8, but stopped.. most of the utility industry uses 7/16 hex.. the nutdrivers that Telsta and DL Electronics make in 5/8 hex drive are expensive, $200 each and up..

This is the standard 5/8 impact they use.
http://www.linemen-tools.com/Ingersoll_Rand_5_8_Impact_Wrench_8062_p/t907099_impact.htm

I much prefer the cordless Milwaukee Fuel.. it's lighter, stronger, and cordless is a big help..

I have a 9.0 in mine, I've trimmed the hedge 4 times and I'm down to 3 out of 4 lights on the battery. I have 50 feet of hedge, so that's 200 feet on 2-3 Amp-hours. I think you'll be fine with 5.0s.

Great... I already have 4 sets of picks but I guess there's always room for one that says Milwaukee lol.

I could've sworn that one of the videos I watched of the new tools they're rolling out showed a pick that had one handle and 4 picks that threaded into the handle, and they boasted the compactness and portability of it. Is that also coming out?
