Ok guy's i am a huge Milwaukee fan i have a huge assortment of both their m12 and m18 tools. and it is what we use and abuse at work i have even do some R&D with them on the m12 t50 stapler and a couple of other tool's. But the quick change blade release on the m18 sawzall TRULY ****'S we have had 3 non fuel versions in for repair and 2 fuel. I wish they had stuck with the quick change design they had/have on the corded models. yes we use the **** OUT OF THEM for every thing. Why change a design when the old one WORKED. I will be calling my rep on monday we will see what happen's And yes we try to keep them as clean as possible and lubed. WE haven't ever had issues with any of their other m12/m18 line up. We're a commercial general/carpenter contractor.

For anyone using a radio or speaker, what do you have and how do you like it? I need something with bluetooth, and really don't need a radio, just ability to stream music/podcasts. I'm torn between the M12/M18 jobsite speaker for $149, or the M18 charging radio for $229. I never listen to the radio so I'd be paying the extra premium just for the charging option.

I have both BT speakers and the M12 radio. The new M18/M12 BT is my favorite now but like its been said it can be played pretty loud, and I also have had requests to tone it down :D

I personally have been quite satisfied with my little M12 BT speaker and often use that (and especially in the above situation now :D )

Though opinions vary widely on the playback quality of that unit I have no issues. A lot may be relative to the type music and or recording.

The M12 radio was my first purchase I have found it bullet proof over the years. Though they still sell it and is not usually discounted much from list, it is a bit outdated now being just an AM/FM radio with aux input and no built in BT or battery charging feature.

I added tiny a BT receiver/transmitter to mine it fit fits nicely in the storage compartment.

Always liked the compact form of the M12 over the bigger radios for transport and small enough for tool bag storage.

I don't seem to use it as much as I did a few years ago since having the BT speakers but still if we want "radio " for on the jobsite its there for me.

Though I'm not in the market for a M18 radio if one came as free add on to a tool purchase I wouldn't turn it down. :D

So does the upcoming Fuel 2719 use the same setup?

Just curious what the issue is.. is it the handle that's breaking?

Is anyone looking to get rid of an extra charger they don't need for $20-30?

The issue with the sawzall quick change is not so much the handle but the internal mechanism. Get dust or debris inside and it locks up you ending up tapping the outside housing and working the release lever back and forth. If your not careful you can end up stripping the 2 small plastic ear's off that interface with the outside metal ring that lock's in the blade.

I think I'll treat myself to the M12/M18 BT speaker this week. I've got several M18 batteries and just one M12 battery but plan to add more later. I was looking them all over at Home Depot earlier, and I think that one's a good size, durable, not too heavy. No worries about being too loud, I just need it for the garage at home, around the yard/cookouts, and occasionally in the car when my car stereo starts acting up.

Well, I just ordered the 2861 mid-torque from Zoro for $160 with a 20% code I grabbed from the Zoro deals thread (thanks Volunteers)

I don't need it, but that's never stopped me from buying tools before!

*sigh* I called home depot to verify and they said they don't have any of the Fuel Ratchets in stock and don't know when they will. They don't know why it showed them as available. They will be sending me a refund. Sorry for the fake news, I was going off what someone else said.

In other news, I just ordered a 9.0ah pack from fleabay for $90. Cheapest price I've seen. Brand new, Milwaukee branded. There's supposedly only 9 left, but they always seem to be close to that price, around $95 regularly. Free shipping, and I've bought from this seller before(bought a new Fuel M18 Hammer Drill and it came just as described, only without the original box to save on shipping costs. I was less than impressed with how they packaged it, but for the price I can't complain.)

Just had to call that company handling the Milwaukee gear. They sent an invoice after shipping, I noticed shippimg increaaed from $19 to $39. They said on website shipping is estimated, I said thats BS, especially since they shipped on 16th and sent invoice on 18th. They were not too happy when I wanted to return/cancel, grudgingly they are crediting me the increased shipping charge. Package is being delivered today.

Milwaukee is getting my 2402 tomorrow via fed ex prepaid label... 7 to 10 days after they get it... I will have it back. zero issues doing the warranty. Quick email response that appears to be individualized to my issue and tool. Used eService to do the return after contacting the Warranty division.

Ok, I thought of another one that's really far afield:

I want bug zappers that run on 9.0's. A cordless bug zapper would be cool, you don't want them right next to your house (where power is) 'cause you just draw the bugs in. You want to draw them away a little bit then kill them.

Believe me, I know this will never happen, but a guy can dream LOL

LMAO, actually not that bad of an idea. How about a battery powered 1500psi pressure washer, or a M12 backpack sprayer (already made by someone echo maybe), M18 winch, 2x9.0 electric scooter.

All of these even your bug zapper is more likely then an inflator.

Some company should come out with a ridiculously stupid cordless thing as a joke to see if the other majors copy and release one too.

Dang, lowest I have seen is 200 and I passed up with a 10% coupon in my pocket, already have a few 9s to sell.
Home Depot a town over from me has the sawzall + 9.0/charger clearanced for 175.. had the circular saw too, but had already sold out.

Damn a winch would be tough to do....except for maybe a little ATV winch.

But before any of that I'm sticking to my guns (in the world of fantasy) and want a wire feed welder that runs on a few 9.0's. I think that might actually work. My Hobart Trek runs on a couple little motorsport batteries, but one issue with the 9.0's might be the ability to take a really rapid discharge and re-charge. Much of the advantage of the Trek is not just cordless operation but running on ridiculously long small-gauge extension cords 'cause the cord just trickle charges the batteries anytime you're not on the trigger.

Anyway....I guess we should resume talk about things that actually do or could exist.

Craftsman used to make a C3 RC truck that ran off the tool batteries lol.

Yes the welder would have way too high of a discharge rate. Think about how hot your batteries get on some of the heavy use tools. Now discharge a 9 in like 2 min. It would melt things.

Has anyone used the M12 Heated hoodies or jackets? I'm thinking about getting one for my mom to use training dogs this winter and I could use one plowing the driveway on the ATV.

Some people sure seem to have generous Home Depot managers. Not one store in the Louisville area ever has any of the deals that some of you are able to find. I have to wonder if it is a regional thing or what. But then again, I never get the run time from my batteries that some reference regardless if it's an M12 or M18 variety in any Amp variation .....
