Ok... hardhat light, - awesome... used it tonight.
The new shockwave lineman auger bit - holy hell, the thing is twice as fast as the old model bits.. this bit will easily double the amount of holes that can be drilled with that cordless 7/16 hex drive high torque fuel impact.. and it's lighter too.. big chips of wood are thrown from the back of the bit, not DUST..
The usb rover, great light for inspection and survey work. Small enough to fit in your pocket and it gives off a nice wide flood light.
Just ordered the pen light, and the usb charger kit with spare battery.. don't think I'm gonna get the new flashlight, just cause, cmon - how many friggin flashlights am I gonna buy...
Yes, you "can" use it as a headlamp, but you probably wouldn't want to. This model has a little weight to it, and it's wide. The back of the light has a rubber backing to help grip the plastic of a hardhat. It's not very comfortable just on your head..
Their headlamp model is smaller and has a padded absorbent band for your head..
In other news, I just thought I'd share the level of talent I'm working with these days. This guy I'm with is drilling 3/4" holes into a pole with the m18 fuel drill and an 18" long ship auger bit. he insists leaving it in hammer mode cause it's "better that way".

The ratchets are easily one of my most used tools. I use it even in areas where I could get an impact on fasteners 3/8" and smaller. Definitely my biggest time saver.

Does HD put the clearance items in a separate section or still in the tools area?
yes, they do.
sorry, what? ok, sometimes they put them in a special area.
one local store had an aisle on the side, parallel and next to the front of the store, where they collected clearance items.
another has two end-caps at the back of the store where they put small "hanging peg" items, but leaves the larger items either on the regular shelves, or *sometimes* on end-caps near the section they belong to.
and, occasionally, both seem to leave a shopping cart full of one item, with a big sign on the side, in a random aisle, usually unrelated to the item.
since they are both in the same "district", i assume it is store manager's discretion.
Anyone have any insight on the new Milwaukee M18 Fuel 7-1/4″ Dual Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw coming out soon?
I do not currently own a miter saw, and would like one for basic DIY tasks that I would like to learn how to do (crown, trim, wainscoting..etc).
Would there be any reason why I would need a 10" or 12" and not get by with this smaller size?

Is it harder or an issue making those cuts with the board laying down ?The only thing that you might not like is the height that the smaller saw will allow. It only has 3-1/2” Vertical Capacity so you'd have to lay down a lot of boards/trim to cut angles vs. standing them up. I have the 10" version and have been really happy with it. It has a 5-3/4"vertical capacity so I can cut angles on taller trim and 1x6's vertically with no issue.

Great!
What comparisons can you make between the two?
I have the M12 max pressure falls right between the two M18 ranges Counter seems like a cool feature though![]()
