I haven't read anything good on the M12 vacuums, but I have the M18 Wet/Dry vac and I really like it... I use it for everything from cleaning up my garage messes, to pulling a clog out of the drain in the condensate trap in the attic and cleaning out vehicles. That's another tool that really likes the 9AH battery.

Does the hose connect to any other Milwauke tools easily? Sander or Miter Saw?
I don't have the sander, but the hose does fit inside the output on the miter saw, but not as tight as I'd like. I've never tried to use it with the saw for dust collection.
Hopefully soon.. Most of the sites that list pre-orders has it shipping on 10/15, but I'm not sure if anyone really knows. I'm hoping Home Depot gets them in and I can just go pick one up.

Would you mind running an experiment next time you have a chance?
I have a cheap Rigid shop-vac that was on sale at Home Depot, but the hose hardly fits any tools - even Rigid sanders.
LOL, the HF BF flyer is already posted, looks like the normal one, HF BF is so lame. Though HDs was lame too last year.

You know the two smaller vacs both have their limitations but I still wouldn't be without my M12 despite it shortcomings (IMO the tea cup M18 is just a glorified model)
It generally does sawdust pretty good and I often clean up my chop saw/table debris at my worksite with it. wont pick up wood chips for jack though but then again nowhere near as loud as the wet dry vac. If its hard money spent get that one for performance.

As far as vacs, I don't have the m12, but have both m18 models. The compact model is NOT as strong as the wet dry.. the compact is decently strong though, not oozing with power but enough. The compact does shine in two areas though. It's more portable, can fit in a small rolling tool bag, and it's ALOT more quiet than the wet dry model. If you're working in something like an office building, it's quite enough to not really disturb anyone. You can easily talk over it even standing right next to it.. also, it comes with the wands to clean the floor. The wet dry can do this really well too, but you'll need to buy the accessories, and you'll need two hands to clean the floor while standing up with that one..

I am planning for my first milwaukee tool buy.
It wil be an impact wrench, but wich one do you guys recommend?
I am choosing between M18 FMTIWP12-502X with max 610Nm (advertised) 170mm long
or M18CHIWF12-502X with max 1491Nm (advertised) 220mm long.
I have a bicycle shop, so for that the smallest milwaukee will be sufficient, and i allready have a small (makita) impact wrench with max 130Nm that does most of the jobs.
**** my hobby (and partial job) is working with old cars and motorcycles and engines. So it wil be mainly used for loosening old rusted bolts and an occasionel wheel swap, and making some repairs on my dads boat.
I live in europe, so i don't have a dealer locally were i can check them out.
Wich one would you recommend?

We'd have to Google those part numbers, they're meaningless in the U.S. Our part numbers are actual model of the tool which is always 4 digits (w the exception of the 2755b and 2655b); so for us a 2754 is a Fuel 3/8" impact. A tool only is -20, one battery kit is -21 and two batteries is -22.
Thus a 3/8" Fuel impact wrench kit w two batteries is 2754-22. Is that 10mm for you? I don't know what drive sizes are in EU and even though we've theoretically "gone" metric" we still cling to fractional for square drive anvils (and collets like die grinders).
Good for you though! Use your impact on cassette lockrings and you can just hold the cassette from spinning w a gloved hand. Gone are the days of loading up a chain whip and wondering if you're gonna tear yourself up on the cogs. Re-install by hand, of course.
Yes, 9.0 fits in everything but the old hex floodlight unless you get the rebuild kit and the old M18 radio but is there an updated version? Also did someone mention it doesnt fit in the mag drill press?
Over at CPO you can get the 2897-22 kit for 329 less 20% with qualifying accessory plus free reg sawzall, circ saw, or teapot vac. Works out to about $260 with freebie plus cost of the accessory you choose which also gets discounted 20%. Good today only

The mid-size (M18 FMTIWP12-502X) is really popular vs the full-size, from what I've read. I only have the full-size, though. The first one you selected is a pin-detent, and my preference for the friction ring is your model number M18 FMTIWF12-502X.
610nm or 500Ft/lbs will remove just about everything on a car but the rusted of the rusted. And since your going to be holding it in your hand all day, this appears to be a better fit than the full-size model.
thats not correct, i can verify this . there is a small rubber piece that stabilizes the 5.0 ah battery but can be removed for the 9.0 to fit. They do sell an hd mag drill kit that includes 9.0 ah batteries after all.
You're asking if one day there will only be One Key tools?

So I'm waiting on approval for a large tool purchase from hd.. seems this company is gonna try to get whatever spending they can, done before year's end.. if this flies there's gonna be a bunch of red tools on this order, mainly lighting and rotatary hammers this time around.. lol, I love that they keep asking me if there's anything else I want.. dunno how I keep landing these "u pick out our tools" spots, but I ain't complaining..

Yes, for example I feel like the 2897 kit might go away soon, like early 2018, and only OK hex impact and hammer drill.

I noticed something with one of my standard M18 batteries today it dropped down to 3 bars so I decide to pop it on the charger since I will be out most of the day and when I put it on charge it shows green? How is that possible?
