Allright I'll be the Guinea pig and preorder the 2488-20 bare tool solder iron using ACME's current 15% off EXPLORE code

Wouldn't doubt there will maybe some free battery offer coupled with it sometime down the road though

$65 shipped, I'm in too.. one more thing to sit around...

Yep, I went in for it too. I just recently had to bring all my soldering stuff up north to swap the stepper motors in my dad's gauge cluster on his Silverado. I am looking forward to seeing if the M12 soldering iron will work in a pinch as an electronics tool in addition to automotive. I wonder if it has compatible tips with a Weller.

If I have to use it one time for a car, it'll be worth not dealing with cords..

If my company approves this next big order I'm suggesting they make, I might even try to persuade them to get the new big impact for them to leave in the garage for the guy that does our repairs.. I've printed out so much **** for this place to order since I started there, my printer is almost out of ink. I have a feeling they are gonna get lazy and say "eh - just order it all yourself and use our card" lol. Don't know if that's good or bad.. lol

I know I've said this before, but Milwaukee's new shockwave lineman auger bits are just amazing.. I swear, this bit will easily more than double the amount of holes you can drill with a cordless impact compared to their old version, or Irwin's too. It's just that fast..

No way, I sold my snap on 14.4v because originally they said early Sept. I figured I could go a week without, then they said mid October and I feel handicapped without it. Probably my biggest timesaver. At this point I'd pay $200 Lol. I already snagged up the 3/8" Fuel preorder with a 20% off for $120 something shipped. I'll gladly pay full for the 1/2" if I can get it a week before acme sends out my 3/8"

LOL Sry, would be shocked if it doesnt ship Monday the latest. Still disappointed the Fuel ratchet kits dont come with 3.0 compacts. Even all the new hoodie jacket displays at HD are filled with 2.0s. We want 3.0s damn it!

For some reason those 3.0s seem elusive. I really want to get some as they are the perfect combination of size and runtime for most M12 tools.

Here is a complicated deal if anyone wants the 2796-22 OK kit. Tool Barn has the kit for $399 still, eligible for free add on like the 0882-20 M18 vac, plus add accessory like 48-00-5226 ax pruning blade and it also gets 20% off, then use SAV10417 code for another $10 off. In the end the OK kit plus vac plus blade ends up being $320 shipped. Dont ever say I dont share quadruple discounts lol, I am counting free ship as 4th disc.

Yep, I saw that, but $189 seems high for just the bare tool and a 2.0 battery. Can be had from Acme for right at $140 shipped for just the bare tool. A 2.0 battery isn't worth $50.

What is the deal with the heat gun? Is it coming soon or did I just miss it entirely? I really want one.

O played around with the new packout system, it seems decent, but the way the boxes stack is a bit looser than I expected. I will most likely buy a setup, I really need something mobile at the house.

I'm curious to see what happens when these new Tesla cells come out.. we might be looking at looking at 15 amphr batteries soon..

As long as Milwaukee uses it in the M12 & M18 series, and doesnt launch some new "line", sounds good to me

Quick question for you KC. I want to order the M18 6-1/2'' circular saw with 15 % off. It comes to 152.00 and I need to get to 200.00 for free shipping. I'm thinking about getting the 2735-20 work LED work light for 49.00. I just saw it today at HD for the same price. Have you or anyone else used this light and what do you think ? Thanks

Anyone have the Milwaukee 30inch tool chest? Worth it?

Thinking of getting one for the garage. Might cave and buy a Husky.

Its only 160 lumen and would only be worth it for $20. The new $19 AAA penlight is brighter.

The pen light is rated at 100 lumens. Get the rechargeable headlamp or the rechargeable rover pocket flood light

It's my least favorite light, I don't even know where it is.. maybe in the trunk of my car for emergencie... honestly, there are better options imo. The m18 stick light is more money, but probably a lot more versatile if you want something m18. There's a lot to pick from..

Actually the 2352-20 stick light is only $59 now.. much better light..

http://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauke...s-LED-Stick-Light-Tool-Only-2352-20/205410872

Here's a decent vid showing both.. you can see the pistol grip light is more of a spot light, where the stick light has a nice even flood light. It's also brighter, 2 settings, 2 METAL hooks that can rotate. You get a lot more for the extra $10, and I think it used to be $89. That's prob what I paid - but it's been marked down recently. What's nice too, is when it's flat on its base (the battery), you can aim it down and up.. the pistol can't point down I believe.

You guys think the Mid torque bare tool is a good price @ Acme with the 15% off?

Depends on your state taxes. You are saving $28.35 plus state tax ($189) but there is $7 shipping fee for orders under $199. So you are paying $167.65 including shipping. If you have to pay state taxes then it's not such a good deal.

Unless you buy more and hit the $199 free shipping mark.

And also I think the 15% expired already.

Yeah, that's even worse than the 1/4" $189 price yesterday... I ended up just ordering 1/4" bare tool from ACME yesterday for $140. I'm sure better prices will be had sooner, but that seemed pretty good for a pre-order. I'm not paying an extra $50 for something I can't wait a little longer for.

Got my M18 Fuel Blower today. It's nice, I got it for under $80. I probably wouldn't have bought it for any more than that, and my first impression is that it's really only worth about $80, maybe a hundred at most. I don't think it'll be much help this fall with the leaves, I was toying around with it and I think the main use I would have for it would be blowing off the driveway and sidewalks after mowing. I guess for how often Milwaukee products blow me away, I expected more. I just feel like if the nozzle wasn't 4 freakin inches wide it would have more balls. Idk. We'll see

Exactly all I use mine for plus the deck. Yeah its only worth $80, none of them were selling when it was on clearance for $100. Dont waste your time in trying to reduce the nozzle, already tried and it made it less powerful.

Ok I might have to upgrade to that fuel 1/2" impact sooner then later.. my brushed model which I think has 452 ft.lbs can't remove this bolt.. matter of fact I used a 3/8" ratchet with a cheater pipe on it and it snapped the hex on the ratchet I'm going to try a 30" long breaker bar with a 4 ft pipe I'm not willing to gable on getting the fuel and I still can't remove the damn bolt.

Tho I probably will will upgrade to it before the end of the year is out

Wish mine had them for that price

yes, there was only one in my store, but that was enough for me. the HD thread has postings from some people who bought (8, 12, 22?) of them, and wackers too. (although i dont know the price, not interested in those).

even if they are not marked down, sometimes it is worth taking one to a scanner and seeing what shows up. the one at my store was marked on the shelf for 120 something.06, but it scanned for 38.03.

Yeah that was my first impression when I got it back in early February/March but some members commented that I might have had a bad one lol I did the nozzle reducer too hahaha

Retail for everything.. my own stuff is just for me and home obviously, and the stuff I ask my company to get I don't think there's enough volume to warrant any discount.. 3 of these, 3 of these, 4 of those.. it's not a huge company.. if it were more like 10 of each, I'd be getting in touch with a regional manager. I have contact info for one that's dealing with my old company now since I started a trend going cordless over there.. people finally caught on..

I haven't been to my garage at work in a couple days, (reporting right to work sites instead), but I hear a UPS truck came by and dropped off like 20 boxes of stuff I asked for.. I prob won't be there till Monday to see what actually came.. it should be some m18 rotary hammers, search lights, rocket lights, and hardhat lights..
