Your thinking of V1.

I got my Rocket V2 with two 9s and the special exp bag for $480 I think. Bag is supposedly worth $100.

Anyone see those nice bags for the levels, pissed I dont have them for mine.

Made a quick prototype of the Ryobi adapter. I don't have any Ryobi tools to test it on. Who needs one that would be willing to give me very descriptive feedback on how to tweak it if it doesn't fit proper? 616d91a3d33f2c117f960edeadc9d290.jpg

I've printed that same adaptor, and it works quite well. I made some modifications to the 3d file so that wiring it up is easier though. I have several around the house. I use my milwaukee batteries for the hot glue gun, the ryobi fan, and one of the cheap lantern lights.

I thought about assembling a bunch and selling them, but I doubt there'd be much demand.

Right on. I'm not saying there wouldn't be demand. But I'm just lazy. I have several more laying around that are printed but unassembled. I probably have 10 total printed in varying color combinations.

Well you can put me down for one! I'd gladly pay for one. I bet an M18 9.0 would make the ryobi tools really come alive. I have a laundry list of tools I'd like from ryobi.

Re: The Milwaukee addiction thread! 😊

The mid torque is an awesome gun. I’d recommend getting a 2.0 compact battery and the protective boot to go with it. You don’t need a big battery with it making it heavier.

My midtorque should be here in a couple days. Been debating getting the boot but it's so damn $$$ for what it is. I was able to get one fairly cheap for my compact impact wrench though.

Well that sure is some ingenuity there. Nice work.
Someone said use the lighter 2ah w/ imp wrench. That's probably not too inconvenient, compared to using deck screws all day w/ 1/4 imp driver. The 9ah wasn't bad for a while. [emoji23][emoji41][emoji123].

It sure did, rofl. :spit: :rocker: Havent tried it on the circular saw yet.
The 9.0 doesnt fit in my sawzall case so its usually in the 2897 case on the 2753.
I only have 1 compact battery (old 1.5ah) & a 3ah which came with the older 2663 Imp Wrench.
The rest is (11) 5.0's & (2) 9.0's since I just got the 9ah+charger+Fuel Grinder set. $200  AcmeTool had 20%

Not sure where to ask, but I'm curious if anyone ordered anything Milwaukee from International Tool around Thanksgiving time? I ordered on Cyber Monday I think (11/27) and my order still shows processing. Curious if anyone's had any issues from them

I got part of one order, rest of 2 orders are arriving today, part of 3rd order shipped today, 4-5 other orders are still processing.

They got slammed, few years ago similar thing happened with them.

I figured that was the case but wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one with issues. All good then, I'll be patient :D

What did you order? I got the M12 ratchet + battery for 81 dollars!

This is something I would also be interested in, I've really wanted to pick up a Ryobi nailer.

Can anyone comment on the M18 jigsaw 2654-20? No cordless sander?

I'm in the same boat. I've had my mid torque for several months now and it's getting banged up a bit, but can't bring myself to drop almost $40 on the boot yet. I love the tool though, I use it with 1.5ah batteries and can rotate the tires on multiple vehicles with one battery, no problems.

Lol. You're suppose to buy the boot BEFORE it gets banged up.

Why they dont make boots for half they tools they sell is beyond me. A lot of people would by them. For the batteries too..

I said a long time ago that someone should start a company just making rubber boots and composite clamshell covers for a lot of the tools from every major company.. nobody would hesitate spending another $50-$100 for a composite clamshell case for rotary hammers and jackhammers.

So I ended up buying the Ryobi inflator deal at HD for $59 that comes with a compact battery and charger. Wish Milwaukee made such a thing since I'm heavily invested in their line. Then I noticed the Ryobi has a hybrid portable fan that can also be plugged in if you don't want to use a battery to power it. Then I look at Milwaukee and their cordless jobsite fan and realize it says "cordless" for a reason, no way to plug it in if its just sitting somewhere like a desk 99% of the time. Sort of disappointed again in Milwaukee.
I guess I'm glad Ive bought into the Ryobi line as well since it seems they do more "consumer specialty powertools" like the pluggable fan, Bluetooth compact radio, inflator, glue gun, etc. and at a very reasonable price. I even picked up their 300 ft/lbs three speed 1/2 impact wrench with a 4.0 Ah battery and charger at HD for $99. Used a $5 off $50 coupon to knock it down to $101 out the door. HD doesn't advertise it on their website but its a store exclusive. Not a bad deal IMO.
I'm still holding out that my local HD gets the newer redesigned Milwaukee wet/dry vacuum in soon. I really like how they updated it, plus I just sold my Craftsman C3 wet/dry vac yesterday on CL since I'm getting out of that line.

FAKE NEWS!

The Milwaukee absolutely has a plug.. in fact, it comes with the power adapter and cord instead of needing an extension cord like some hybrid models require.

https://www.milwaukeetool.com/power-tools/cordless/0886-20

Look at the second picture. The small rubber boot is for the wall plug. It comes with the fan in the box, Plus, I own it - so I know :)

Far as the wet dry vac - you need to look out the picture on the box, not the display. HD has had the old picture for the vac on the display despite them having the newer updated models below it on the shelf. You could always order it online and have it shipped to the store for free and pick up there, but it's free shipping to home over $50 anyway.

Anyone have experience with the m18 search light run time on flood mode?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I tested mine, I don't remember if it was spot or flood, but whichever mode had the shortest claimed runtime. It went like 15-20 minutes over what was claimed. I suspect you'd see similar results from other modes.

I am transitioning from C3 as well. Some of the Ryobi look like exact matches for the C3 most notably the impact wrench. Same specs and same look. Any way tell me how the Milwaukee vac compares to the c3...I absolutely adore that thing. I actually used it to vacuum a flooded basement a few times. I ran it till it killed the 4 lithium batteries I had at the time then let them charge then did it again.

If nobody minds me butting in -

The mid torque is a 1/2" model. It only comes as a Fuel option.. Mid torque is it's name, because it's less powerful than the big high torque model, and much more powerful than the physically smaller 3/8" & 1/2" models. It's advertised torque spec is like 500 ftlbs.

It's in the middle here, between the other 2 sizes of impacts Milwaukee sells. Milwaukee is the only one offering a middle rage impact, hence - "Mid Torque". The idea is it's an option more powerful than the smaller models, but not much bigger physically, and not as powerful as the high torque, but a lot smaller. You can use it wherever it'll fit, from wheel removal to suspension work and anything in between where the smaller guy just doesn't have enough power. My smallest impact here is a 3/8" model, but that particular impact is also available in 1/2" as well. The mid and high torque are both 1/2" only models. The hope is that one day Milwaukee will offer that impact with a 3/8" counterpart.
IMG_2017.jpg

A "for instance" situation - I was removing the bed off my old 95 f350 dually pick up. The mid torque would not remove some of those bolts that had never been off before, but the bigger high torque would.. the high torque would also press out leaf spring bushings, where the mid torque would not (in my situation anyway).. the small 3/8" may not remove some brake calipers bolts, but the mid torque is small enough and strong enough to be used for that instead.

Look at the specs for both models. I have no experience with the craftsman, but I can tell you the Milwaukee will empty a toilet with the wand fully submerged and not even blink.

I stand corrected. Honestly Id probably prefer an extension cord hookup instead of an ac adapter to lug around with it and possibly lose. There are tons of extension cords at job worksites and I could see someone losing the ac adapter where as without it all you need is an extension cord. But I'm not a contractor and for the most part will stay in my garage so its not too big an issue.
Still wish they had an inflator and small radio with Bluetooth capability. Ive checked my local HD and the 4 vacuums they have in stock are the older model unfortunately. Wish there was a way to guarantee it would be the newer model if I bought it online and had it shipped to my place. :willy_nil

I haven't. I don't have any cordless dewalt tools to test, especially the old ones. A quick search didn't pull up any adapters that anyone has already created and posted. That said, you could always hardwire a milwaukee battery holder to the dewalt tool and glue it on or something.

I'll buy one. I don't care what color either. Let me know. Thanks!

I'll have some ready in a few days. I'm assembling a few more. The hardest part honestly is finding the right spring to put in the button mechanism. I'm having to scrounge my parts drawer for the right springs, and springs are a PITA to buy. I could make my own, but that's another PITA.

As for the colors: I mostly print in black with some color accents. I try to have fun with it though sometimes.
