You don't need to sell anything in here.. and some people are well aware of everything they offer.. chainsaw is no secret here, neither is a cordless tablesaw which I believe was hinted at a few months ago for next year possibly.

Their lineman shockwave auger bits must be backordered everywhere, cause I couldn't find a place that had 4 in stock. Home Depot online /acme tools included. I'm still waiting on 2, cause they are easily the best bits on the market right now.

You’re shopping in the wrong place. You need to reach out to a local supplier, some place that supports the union trades. They will have inventory...

Sorry guy, I'm not leaving my couch.. I work more than enough. And I sincerely doubt a local place is gonna have more stock than Home Depot's distribution centers and acme tools.. HIGHLY doubt that..

Actually the warehouses for local industrial and parts stores stock more Milwaukee than Home Depot because they have more stores in a region. My area anyways.

The places around here sell a Wood Owl auger bit. Coated and made in Japan. Not sure how they compare to the Milwaukee.

To be clear - half of what I bought is on backorder. It's not that hd or acme DOESNT stock more than 2 in their warehouse (they probably keep dozens) - it's that they simply can't get more stock from Milwaukee.. Same deal with the coolers everyone is waiting for. I tried to get a heat gun in Queens from a local supplier. ANY heat gun. Any one of the 3 or so corded models Milwaukee makes - OR the cordless.. their answer was "there's a cordless one now?", and "sorry, we don't have any".

I haven't used wood owl bits, so I won't pretend I have - but to my knowledge, USUALLY those focus on really REALLY clean, finished holes. More along the lines someone might use for a timber framed home that was using dowels for joints, which is why they use 3 cutters. (Japan obviously famous for quality knives). What I need , or use rather, is something that drills large holes fast. The finish doesn't matter. It can blow out and splinter as much as it likes, but the cutters need to withstand staples, small nails, and the occasional direct hit into another large pice of metal without self destruction. Removing large chips quickly is the name of the game for me. I have wanted to try a wood owl bit though just for the hell of it.. ya never know..

Kctyphoon, regarding the Wood Owl there is no mention of hitting metal in the description so I assume they are not designed for that. Actually, I flipped the page on the Acklands catalog and they have a Wood Owl that is good for nail-embedded wood. Like you said maybe worth a try

Totally different way of doing business here, one local parts store Lordco Parts had a Holiday Savings flyer with the M18 heat gun on the front page but they have 100 stores in their chain. Another local industrial store chain Raider Hansen frequently has Milwaukee sales and demos with representatives from Milwaukee attending

They just announced about 100 new products a few months ago, and still stuff slips by that nobody ever heard of before.. the cordless tools keep coming, but many are more specialized for trades.. they can't just keep making drills and impacts.

In MY OPINION, Milwaukee is gonna have to EVENTUALLY answer to the higher voltage platforms coming out. Weather it be a dual pack 36 volt line, or a whole new platform. They are HEAVILY invested in m18 (how do ya think the m28(?) guys feel), so I'd suspect an approach like makita using dual packs. But ya never know - Milwaukee might have a trick up their sleeve. Their 9.0 packs are the same size basically as the dewalt 60v.. would be quite funny if one day Milwaukee released a 40v or 60v pack - and said btw, all you have to do is insert this into any m18 tool..

I'm not really invested in making sure I buy hundreds of red rebranded hand tools, but I am somewhat committed to the M12/18 cordless lines and would love for them to continue to deliver.

I think the trade-specific tools are great, but at times it IMO sounds like an excuse for not having more common items out. The bucket light is outstanding for a few professionals, but I bet they'd sell 100 trim routers for every bucket light.

I sure hope they go multi-pack like Makita and avoid alienating their user base.

Really running out of stuff for my collection, Hawg and Stapler for me, also got 6xM12 and 2xM18 XCs in the deal.

Interesting conversation with my buddy, he knows someone that scooped up 20 packout sets in the Pro BF supply and supposedly has been selling them easily for 400 a set on ebay, damn and we thought people would balk at the 280 price.

clearly milwaukee needs to crank up production a bit.

the local hd has the new 399/499 packout kits in stock, although they are chained to the display. . . . . in the middle of the store. i wonder who they are worried about stealing them?

https://www.homedepot.com/p/303241629

https://www.homedepot.com/p/303241904

the base unit is listed as out of stock at my store, and the other is listed as "call first".

yesterday they had three or four of the bases, and six or seven of the others, so either someone spent a sh!tload of money last night, or the stock levels are wayyyyyy off. i wonder if that bodes well for them being viciously discounted in a few months?

Anyone interested in the on-Fuel 3/8" Milwaukee ratchet, 2457-20, the price on Amazon has been steadily dropping. About $88 noe.

You would be surprised of what walks outta HD.

PCA inventory I think sometimes includes stuff in transit to the store. Or could be in rafters or back storage. Maybe theres another Pro promo coming up.

So I'm going to make the switch since my Makita batteries are about done, its one of the first sets of lithium ion they sold.

I just bought a couple of Milwaukee 18v, the new version wet dry vac and the cordless heat gun and a promo pack of 9.0 batteries.

Here are the next couple of items I'm looking at. Kit #2897-22PO (comes with the packout box and free 9.0 battery) and the cordless mid torque #2861-20. Kit is priced at $399, and bare tool impact is $189. Any better deals out there? Thanks

Right now the 2796 packout combo deal with free 9.0 is best public deal going. Check CL, Offerup locally. Look at Acme, Toolbarn, CPO, Toolup, International Tool, etc websites, most have same deals, signup for their emails.

Does anyone know if Milwaukee will be coming out with a new generation of M12 Fuel impact wrenches? I have my eye on the 3/8" and 1/4", but I want to hold off in case they come out with a more compact (shorter) version like the new M12 1/4" hex impact driver.

My guess would be theres about 35% chance its announced in June, 95% chance June 2019. But even if they say its coming out, your about a year till its available.

Probably worthwhile to wait for me then. I have other uses for the money this year. I'm going to pick up an M18 3/8" Fuel impact as a little brother to the 1/2" High Torque, and I have my Milwaukee ratchets (will probably pick up a 1/2" one of those too).

Yes, there's that kit and a fuel sawzall kit that came out with the 9.0 "starter kit" that first appeared around Black Friday, 2016.. they pop up all over... it was a better deal back then cause the tools were more expensive. Both models have been marked down since as bare tool purchases.

I see a 2796 combo but no pack out kit or free 9.0.

Can anyone correct or confirm the following information regarding the currently available 1/4” and 3/8” brushless drivers/impacts from Milwaukee?

I took the items and part numbers straight from Milwaukee’s website, and based whether or not the items were current on information I gathered from various review websites.

3/8” drive:

M12 Fuel Impact #2454 (Gen 1, most current M12 3/8” drive impact)

M18 Fuel Impact #2654 (Gen 1, superseded by #2754)
M18 Fuel Impact #2754 (Gen 2, most current M18 3/8” drive impact)

1/4” drive:

M12 Fuel Impact, square drive 1/4” anvil #2452 (Gen 1, most current iteration)
M12 Fuel Impact, hex drive #2453 (Gen 1, superseded by #2553)
M12 Fuel Impact, hex drive #2553 (Gen 2, most current M12 1/4” impact)

M18 Fuel Impact, hex drive #2653 (Gen 1, superseded by #2753)
M18 Fuel Impact, hex drive #2753 (Gen 2, most current M18 1/4” impact)
M18 Brushless Impact, hex drive #2750 (Current, economical alternative to Gen 2 Fuel #2753)

M18 Fuel Surge Driver, hex drive #2760 (Current, only hydraulic driver in lineup)

M18 Fuel Impact, hex drive #2753 (Gen 2, most current M18 1/4” impact)

M18 Fuel Surge Driver, hex drive #2760 (Current, only hydraulic driver in lineup)

The 2452 is a sq, drive 1/4" anvil wrench and has not been replaced by anything yet in the same form. It has much lower torque range values than the 2453 1/4" hex DRIVER or the 2454 3/8" sq. wrench.

The 2453 is 1/4" hex and correct the 2553 is gen 2version

I think you getting a bit ahead of yourself on the M18 2750

Fuel (gen 1) came first. then the 2750 brushless non fuel it is still in current production as mid price alternative to Fuel over brushed models I'm not quite sure of Fuel gen 2 release date vs the 2750

Is the gen 2654 still available to purchase?
I know my 2655B 1/2 is pretty much obsolete

KMS is a good store, they have a monthly sales flyer and I know this is a Milwaukee thread but they have DeWalt, Makita, Milwaukee and Bosch on display so you can handle and compare all the good brands

Price wise I think, KMS, Home Depot and Lordco have competitive prices. The M18 heat gun was the same price at KMS and Lordco last Christmas but KMS was out of stock. Same last summer I needed a M12 drill Lordco had it but KMS and Home Depot were out of stock

Lordco sells both Makita and Milwaukee and there is usually a wall display in each store

So what's the deal with the M12 3/8 Fuel Ratchet? It's out of stock everywhere right now.

I tried two different home depots showing stock, only for their stock to be an error. Can't find any online from the various dealers.

Was playing with the one key sawzall, never thought I would be interested in it, but its pretty cool you have 4 custom settimgs and can set the start strokes per min, max SPM, and ramp up seconds....too bad you cant tweak the stroke.

One of the stupid things about OK you can not see or change the customization settimgs unless connected to the tool. The app should allow that then synch when connected.
