Was playing with the one key sawzall, never thought I would be interested in it, but its pretty cool you have 4 custom settimgs and can set the start strokes per min, max SPM, and ramp up seconds....too bad you cant tweak the stroke.

One of the stupid things about OK you can not see or change the customization settimgs unless connected to the tool. The app should allow that then synch when connected.
Yeah the sawzall is my only One Key tool, I snagged it for cheaper then the reg fuel version. It's pretty cool, I have it configured for different materials, one for wood, one for steel, etc. It's pretty crazy how far tools have come. I don't use a sawzall too often, but I def want a OK drill and impact now. Those would be the most useful tools to have the customization on for me.

I will say it was a little painful using the one key, it kept randomly disconnecting from the tool. Could've been an issue with my phone though so idk.

KMS is a good store, they have a monthly sales flyer and I know this is a Milwaukee thread but they have DeWalt, Makita, Milwaukee and Bosch on display so you can handle and compare all the good brands

Price wise I think, KMS, Home Depot and Lordco have competitive prices. The M18 heat gun was the same price at KMS and Lordco last Christmas but KMS was out of stock. Same last summer I needed a M12 drill Lordco had it but KMS and Home Depot were out of stock

Lordco sells both Makita and Milwaukee and there is usually a wall display in each store

Thank You !
I knew about product lines they had but was not quite sure about the individual store pricing as I really only look at KMS flyers

i know i am probably the only one here, but can you provide a bit of enlightenment about what KMS? google implies that it is a vendor of hair care products . . . . .

So what's the deal with the M12 3/8 Fuel Ratchet? It's out of stock everywhere right now.

I tried two different home depots showing stock, only for their stock to be an error. Can't find any online from the various dealers.

been a few weeks since I been here but I saw the fuel version at my local HD.. wow.. it makes my brushed version look cheap lol

To this day I don't really use it as a wrench I feel like it will shatter..

I might pick up the cordless staple gun today I could of used it on Friday I had to hammer in about like 20 nails at 12 AM

Got my 2553 today, it sure is tiny. 110ft/lbs. That's crazy9e19dec1dc3217ab44b2f5316a4e1439.jpg

Do they make one of these with a 3/8" square drive? I looked on Milwaukee's website and didn't see anything like that, just the Gen 1 fuel 2454 which is rated just a bit higher at 117 ft-lbf, but I saw the 2553 yesterday at Home Depot and it sure is small and has the handle angled back a bit and no big battery hanging off the handle. Would be really handy in places my M18/2754 won't fit.

The 2754 has the M18 battery that hangs so far off the front that it really limits access into recessed locations without using an extension which reduces the available torque delivered to the socket.

I could use a 1/4" hex to 3/8" square adapter, however I've broken a few Milwaukee adapters with my M18 non fuel 1/4" hex impact already, can't imagine the 2553 wouldn't do the same on a regular basis.

There is a 3/8" drive impact wrench available. I own 2 and they are used extensively. Look under impact wrench listings

2454 Fuel is all that's available right now to us M12 fans.

You are not alone in looking for Gen 2 version of the 3/8" wrench

I really like to see 1/2 inch version too as an option :D if they could increase the torque value over 3/8" in any way. The overseas version has the same power rating only a different anvil

And I agree with your assessment of the M18 2754/2654 tool

Might be worthwhile to drop into your local HD to see if you've got the same going on. It's the Gen 1 rocket light but still great price.

Man I bought one a while back for 200(think that was the price) but came with a free 5.0 battery. Didn't really need the battery but it is nice to have more. If I can find them for that price for bare tool I will pick up one or two more. Be nice to have around. I use them outside and in the garage all the time for a quick light source. Have to go to a friends this week and do a intake gasket and his garage doesn't have good light so will bring my rocket light along with my other lights so we can see what we doing. When I'm loading or unloading my trailer at night I will set the rocket light up since it takes about 5 seconds and have some good light to see what I'm doing and where I'm walking.

And I was very disappointed to find out the m12 stapler won't work with T25 Staples. (The rounded heads for wires). I was about to buy one until I realized that. Too bad - some of the manual staplers can switch back and forth.

If you find an automat wire stapler please share I don’t know why nobody makes one but if I never have to drive a wire staple by hand in my life I would die happy

Finally used my m12 screwdriver.. not crazy powerful, but better than my old dewalt 7.2 for sure.. I like it..

Which screwdriver? When you say old dewalt 7.2 I picture my old dewalt like this that I really liked, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000051WQV/?tag=atomicindus08-20. The battery did and I don't have anymore dewalt tools so never replaced it. Was just looking for a milwaukee version not too long ago and didn't find anything. My m12 fuel hex impact does a decent job of replacing it since it's pretty small but still liked my dewalt flex screwdriver and would pick up a Milwaukee version if they make one. Used my dewalt for many years since it was one of the only options besides a bigger impact drill. They did have the cheapo black and decker type screwdrivers but they were junk. The dewalt was a nice little tool when needed. I used it for interior work on cars and also around the house.

Just found it, https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauk...gclsrc=aw.ds&dclid=COPv5M22o9kCFUGvTwodn5cN-w. Is this something brand new because I have searched a few times for one and never saw it. Don't remember seeing it on the milwaukee posters listing all the m12 tools you get with new tools either.

The dewalt says 80 inch pounds of torque and the milwaukee says 44. That seems really low or the dewalt seems really high? My dewalt wasn't ever crazy powerful so not sure how the milwaukee at half the torque would do?

That one is m4 ....it is probably the best replacement for your DeWalt but it takes a different battery. The m12 is this

SKU# 203835503

Also in brushed.

Dang the Fuel 2402 Fuel is a sweet tool. I like mine a lot. Thinking the 2406 brushed would be pretty good too I do not think I ever heard anyone mention owning one though at least on this thread. But the price difference isn't that much not to consider bumping up to the Fuel.

My original 2401 is a great bench tool for light assembly. And the current 2401 can be had pretty cheap too.

I remember many years ago I had Skil inline screwdriver with (internal battery) at the time was handy thing though the battery went died on it fast though

I use my 2401 all the time it’s great for cover plates and long screws on receptacles.

i have the 2402, which i assume is the fuel version (and is the one linked above). it is excellent for what it is. i just replaced about 10 switches in the house, and it was flawless.

i have found that this kit:

https://www.homedepot.com/p/301024174

works well with it. there are certainly others that milwaukee offers, but that one is inexpensive and well stocked for that hex driver, and can still be used if you upgrade to an impact hex driver.

I think my m12 is the brushed version.. I just bought it off eBay or Amazon not long ago cause I was bored one night, and yes that's the same 7.2 Dewalt I have, which was great for its day.. the m12 is a little more powerful being slightly higher voltage. That m4 is less powerful than the dewalt I'd think..

Not sure why, but I just bought a cheap aftermarket Dewalt 7.2 battery for like $15 or something off eBay for the screwdriver last week. I'll probably never even use the thing again after using the m12 and it being a little stronger..

I've read that Dewalt screwdriver was hailed by electricians at one time.. honestly, a small extension on the m12 would probably give you more ability than the Dewalt, but the hinged Dewalt was a real nice feature.. I've thought about buying the m4 in the past, but I just couldn't bring myself to spend the money on a single tool battery platform when the m12 bare tool is so cheap online.

I'm sure the m4 is decent, but Dewalt has that dumb gyroscopic model now, and makita and hitachi both make similar screwdrivers to the old 7.2 Dewalt that "by themselves" are probably better than the m4. Doesn't make sense to me to buy it - if you are gonna need a separate charger, a different battery, the makita is probably a better choice over the m4 if you're set on that style of driver.

And actually, lol, I just looked.. the 7.2v makita articulating screwdriver is discontinued (but still available).. Makita has instead, redesigned and updated it into a 7.2v articulating IMPACT driver, but it keeps that articulating screwdriver body.. would be a nice feature if you could lock out the impact if desired. Gotta say - nice looking tool..

So yea, if you're in love with that old dewalt 7.2, and want a similar, updated, better, dual speed, led light, soft grip, 220 inch pound, Lithium version - brand loyalty aside - this is probably the best choice, in a 1 pound package. Pretty hard to deny that much... you need a different battery, and different charger for the M4 anyway - so **** it, get a better tool (sorry Milwaukee)
https://www.makitatools.com/products/details/TD022DSE

Makita has a pretty decent 12v line going.. better than Dewalt's at least.

Damn, that's cool. 1,300 in-lbs vs 1,400 on the Fuel 3/8.

Is it as simple as buying the anvil and whatever nose parts and switch? Or is it more involved?

Looking at the parts lists (https://documents.milwaukeetool.com/54-26-2550.pdf & https://documents.milwaukeetool.com/54-26-2490.pdf)

I think you replace #11 and maybe?? just drill out the nose cap to size??? I don't think there is any other parts? EDIT: looks like the shafts/collars are the same diameter and then neck down to what they need to be, maybe no drilling needed.

Maybe some kind of bushing or retainer custom made to keep the anvil from sliding forward to the nose cap? EDIT: Actually, maybe #9 is the only bushing needed b/c it seems the flanges of the #11 anvils are the same thickness.

3/8 anvil is $15ish https://www.ereplacementparts.com/3834-square-anvil-p-1753615.html

Those parts lists are for the old style M12 fuel. Does the new one use the same anvil?

I converted an M18 Fuel impact from hex to 3/8" and it was not a straight up swap. I needed to turn a steel sleeve for the anvil to make up for a smaller diameter.

I really like the compactness of the new M12 Fuel. I think I might need one soon!

If you like compactness , take a good look at 2760 Surge driver. It is almost as compact as the new 12v with a 1 1/2 or 2ah battery but you can slap a 5ah or even 9ah in it for big jobs.
With a good drill bit set and a driver bit set I can easily work many jobs that I used to use two tools for. It is incredibly adept at not stripping screws, it is fast and powerful on deck 3 1/2” screws and easy to keep out of the way in truck because of compactness. Don’t let the torque spec fool you. With the hydraulic driver you are talking apples and oranges on the torque specs.

Check out the ACME deal today and tomorrow. 14% off using code WELOVETOOLS on anything $350 and up. There's a couple of Milwaukee Fuel Packet Combo sets you could use it on...including the One-Key combo kit with the hammer drill, impact, reciprocating saw, 5.0 batteries, charger, rolling packout, and bonus 9ah battery. Normally $499 but now $429.14 with free shipping. Worth a jump for anyone feeling froggy.

I think there may be confusion. Those parts lists are for the hex driver shown, 2553, and the Fuel 3/8 impact.

I believe they are correct. No?

Does Milwaukee have any plans for a FUEL version multitool/oscillating in either M18 or M12?
