Picked one up but will be watching for it to go lower. It has taken nearly 3 months to go from a close out of $288 down to $200

The inflator is up on acmes website, showing a release date of May 1st.cb80c435d76c6bc204aeb2debcbec4ab.jpg

Hmmm might be worth it for just $69

I was just reading about in a post from Pro tools Review over on FB.

This is what they had to say (must have copied specs from somewhere)

M12 users rejoice! Milwaukee Tool North America has a new tire inflator coming in April. Here are some highlights:

-Up to 5X the speed of fill on car & light truck tires (compared to corded & cordless units)
-First cordless inflator capable of filling a light truck tire from 0 to full on a single battery
-Tops off standard car tires in under 1 minute!
-TrueFill Auto Shutoff Technology delivers highly accurate pressure and auto shuts off at desire pressure
-Anti-vibration stand for no movement while filling

As a bare tool, you're looking at $69 or $159 for a kit with 4.0 Ah battery.

We shall soon see what "filling a truck tire from zero to full" really means!

Any coupon on top of the $69 would get me to bite.

Another finally overdue tool, why not Fuel!?!

if i were milwaukee, and i could make a reasonable non-fuel version, that is where i would start. get all the people who are baying at the moon to buy one, and two years later, offer the fuel version, and keep the current one as a low end option.

when the fuel version comes out, a lot of current owners will upgrade, and you get to sell them two tools. what's not to like (if you are milwaukee)?

Now the page is gone again from Acme and Milwaukee.

I really want to read through the specs on this thing. But every time I see it posted the web pages already gone

I bought the Milwaukee 2738-20 7" polisher tool only BNIB from the Pomona Swap Meet this weekend for $135.

(Also got 2 brand new M18 9.0 batteries for $75 each)

I see the reviews online on YouTube and Home Depot are really good for this. Have any of you guys used it and what do you think? I assume most reviews would all be good.

I just ordered 2 of those same 3.0 batteries from the same seller and mine arrived no problem. This stinks bad!!!!!

Glad you got yours. I did not. Seller refuses to help and now stands behind ebay policy to keep money fraudulently. Still hope my credit card company will reverse the charges and stick it to him. I tried to work with the seller, and likely would have met him part way if it really was a USPS screw up. I am no longer so sure with the way he has steadfastly refused to help.

BTW what is difference between M12 compact 3.0 and XC 3.0 battery? I just bought my first round of Milwaukee tools, saw, drill and impact driver. Just trying to get acquainted with what is available.

THAT is seriously great question and I'm sure several of the regulars here can explain...but not me :D

So if the new compact can give same run time as the older XC that is the advancement in the Lithium technology.

Older XC's weren't that exceptional IMO anyhow :p

in this context, i believe the XC 3.0 is an M18 battery.

the problem is that milwaukee used XC to refer to the new higher AH batteries some years ago. the problem is that they get superseded by higher AH batteries, usually in the same (M12) or similar (M18) form factors. this is a problem because milwaukee doesnt seem to discontinue old batteries. as an example they still sell, and include in kits, 1.5AH M18 and M12 batteries.

Just higher capacity / more expensive cells being used.. if/when those new cells Tesla is making hit the cordless tool market, and they can meet the needs of the tools - then you will see some real game changers.

Finally got to put my mid-torque to work. Used it to pull apart the whole front end of my 05 4Runner (UCA. LCA, axle nut, etc.) and it took all of them on no worries. I tried my 3/8 compact on some of it and it couldnt get them all. Mid-torque, no worries.

Man that light is amazing it more lumens than two of the original Rocket lights combined :D

Reminds me of one evening we were working after dark at the farm and our box truck was backed up the loading dock with the nose out in the dark. The only flood lights were on the building behind the truck. The my boss decides he wants to do an oil check on that Mexican built Ford diesel truck

Have to flip the cab up too can't see a dang thing I had the M12 stick light and the original M18 Rover flood but a tripod rocket would have been soo great. So he's totally low on oil and as it was I had to take my lantern up to the big barn in the dark no lights or power out there to get a 5 gal pail of oil and funnel we had for the tractors. Plus had to transfer oil to smaller container to pour too. Boss's...what are they thinking sometimes hey :spit:

Considering the M18 Fuel 3/8 impact gun...

So can get:

1. tool only for about $159
2. Tool with 2-2.0 amp batteries, charger and blow mold case for $225
3. Tool with 2-5.0 amp batteries, charger and blow mold case for $329, or
4. A "kit" with tool, 2-2.0 amp batteries, charger, soft case, M18 work light and "free" M18 vacuum for $329

I think the work light and vaccum would be a nice to have but not necessary. Extra batteries are always a good thing but 5.0 beats 2.0. I'm thinking option 3 is the best value... Thoughts?

How do you like the charger/power source? I have the USB power source that comes with the jacket and I use it with my hoodie all the time, but it'd be nice to have the charger version so I can charge back up at a friend's house without bringing along a full M12 charger.

I bought #3 for $200 or $250, but am pretty sure it was refurbished. Tool only is the least $ spent, but #4 is probably the most "stuff" for the $ spent. If you don't "need" any of the extra stuff, I'd probably go with #1.

Thanks. That's a smoking deal, lol. Considering #3 only for the two extra 5.0 batteries. Don't really need the charger or care about the case. Maybe I should look into the tool only and a 9.0 battery, which is what I really could use...

Bare tool plus 1 or 2 - 5ah batts @ 50-55 each would be $260 or so. 9ah is great for saws. Its price per AH is higher so its $100-120 on average.
I've got the 9ah sawzall kit & a while back I did the $200 sale for (4) 5ah batteries from Toolup. [emoji106][emoji38]

Here's my take

I don't think any of those are any great deals at all and just seem to be close to reg. list.

For the longest time the #3 option always had a 3rd 5.0 battery for a bonus so it was pretty good deal then. I did my 2655B that way bit only with 4.0 at the time, same price too so with 5.0 it's certainly a much better deal. I remember the price didn't change when the new Gen 2's came out same as the drill and impact driver combos. More power higher amp hr batteries and the same price.

The bare tool 2754 well I got got one for $99 on a holiday special so it pays to wait and watch sometimes. Even though they wacked me $16 in S&H I still couldn't refuse the deal.

As sweet as the extras are with #4 if you don't want or need them don't spend that extra money. As for 2.0 compact batteries I have a bunch of them from finish nail gun kit, drywall screw gun kit etc., along with some old 1.5ah from some early brushed tools. I'm not overly fond of the smaller batteries and like to use no less than a 4.0 most times but with some tools they are ok and the 3/8 compact impact is one them. (Work lights are another where I use them often) They are lightweight, and the compact impacts don't usually drain batteries too fast either not like some other tools.

So I would say if you have to buy something :D try to stack a promo code like what ACME often offers. I bet one is coming up too for St Paddy's maybe. and have some extra batteries too. The XC kit could get as low as around $279 the compact kit could less than $200 and not much more than the bare tool alone.

I've been using it in my truck. I wear the heated vest daily at work. It charges slow but that didn't affect me. I use a battery in the morning, slap it on the charger which is plugged into an always hot 12V in my truck, then grab the spare for the afternoon. After work, i charge that one and put the freshly charged battery back in my vest. Been doing this since October.

Also can charge my phone while wearing it in my vest.

I have the heated sweatshirt thing. I bought it before I went to a Packer game in the middle of December a few years ago. It remains my favorite Milwaukee purchase of all time. Even living in Texas, I use it a ton...

Edit: This is the one I have:

I don't remember paying that much for it, but damn... I would pay that much for it knowing what I know now. It rules.

I personally love it. It uses a micro b cable to charge it, commonly used usb cable. It also shows battery life.
With three kids it’s great to have. Grab a 4.0 & keeps both phones charged throughout the day.

One thing that I didn't see mentioned anywhere is that it does quickk charge also. Meaning it will output 9v up to 2amp if your phone requests it.
Still studying the efficiency of the power source.

I have the hoodie too, i should have got one size smaller, but it still kicks ***. It's available as low as $89 without a battery if you wait until spring.
