Ha - one is the Gen 1 rocket tower lights... I have two of those!!!

2130-20 is the first rocket tower light... Does that mean I can get two of the newer better ones for free?? Lol

Ya one is the mag drill, one is the water pump, the rest are lights including the bucket light, tower lights, and area light and the dual power Rover with the swivel base

Oh that 2361 is the hex flood light that was ALREADY upgraded once for 9.0!

Yea so i just called them,, no we're not getting free tools.. lol. They are offering a free upgrade kit for the tools where the battery won't fit. They don't even have part numbers available yet. As far as the rocket light, is a new bottom for the base they will send you. It's like 10 small screws - or you can send it in for free and they will do it if you don't want to be bothered.. not worth sending anything in to me.. I may not even get the part, but I wanted to call and ask EXACTLY what the fix was gonna be.. guy I talked to was name john, only john in the dept he says.. said he started gettin calls the Monday afterwards asking about getting the new 12.0 battery.. nice guy.. he said call back in mid to late June and he'd have everything and they will ship out whatever anyone needs.

Honestly - I'm impressed they are even offering the parts for free.. who else does that...

Did Milwaukee discontinue their large tool boxes? It seems my local Home Depot is dumping their remaining stock (and they are all the first gen 46" combo not the heavier duty combo released last year)? The store must have a half dozen or so sitting on the floor, although not at a discount.

I just drove a couple hours to get the last Milwaukee 52" 11 drawer mobile work station. shipping wasn't available and most stores in coastal Virginia were sold out. I think there's a new tariff on 20 gauge or thinner imported toolboxes, as best that i understand it. I don't really understand, but tats what i was told.

I got one of those today too, but I did it the old fashioned way. I walked into a Bricks and Mortar store and bought it. Imagine that!

Went to Depot, picked up the inflator and battery kit for $79. They still had a few left on the little display. I only pumped up a basketball with it this evening, but it worked great for that and it's easy enough that the kids can handle that task from now on. Will try to use it tomorrow to top off the tires on one of the vehicles.

I hate that ****. Up till now bcfasteners.com has been my go to for Milwaukee. But they didn't have and, and all they could offer was "hope" that they'd get some next week. Then I noticed Mississauga Hardware showed stock on their website last night. They open at 6:00 am and are a couple of kilometers out of my way on the way to work. I was there at 5:55 this morning, and not only did they have the inflator, the doors were unlocked already. I was on my way to work in no time. But stupid me left the battery on the windowsill at home, so I had to stare at the batteryless tool all day in my office.

^^^ i bought mine at HD today, but they didnt make it easy.

the web site sez they dont stock them, and none of the 20+ local stores do.

i was driving by, and stopped in. they were not in the aisle with the car stuff.

they were not with the other inflators/compressors.

they were not with the M12 tools nor the M18 (completeness of checking), nor were they with the lights (again, completeness.)

they were stuck on an endcap, near nothing else.

i also stopped at auto zone and got one of those slime fittings for 5$.

My M12 combo kit arrived at my local Depot today, so I swooped in after work and picked it up.
Great kit and the "free" 6.0 battery is a pretty good deal.

interesting. certainly the tower lights (2130 and 2135) are likely just replacement bottoms. i wonder if you have to send the whole thing in or if they will be willing to just mail you out replacement bottoms for you to put on yourself.

In the past they would just send you the part. Same thing was happened with 9.0's on one of the lights before a certain date. The original flood light I believe it was called.

I tried to order one and had the dang hardest time I got in contact with a Milwaukee rep through ACME C.S. and he sent a new light

I stil have the old one and no retrofit part

I had to purchase mine, though I know a few got it for free. Probably won't bother with another new handle as the 9.0 is more than I'll ever need for the light. There really isn't even anything I need my 9.0 for either. The XC 3.0s have gotten me by for years.

Is the following either A) it's partner in crime and B) a good deal? This seller has multiple listed do not know why he did not just do 1 listing with multiples available.

Lol look at the seller... dont you find it a bit odd that this one seller has multiples for sale for a third the price of the next cheapest? You aren't going to find that drill for less than $90 period. I think I paid $99, and it's worth every penny. It's a steal at $99. Compared to retail pricing. It's the most powerful cordless drill on the market, no one would sell it for $30.

Okay thank you for the heads up. I am new to using Milwaukee tools but since I have gotten my impact driver, wowza I like them! Thing works well, but I think I need to get a drill. I looked at home depot and they are pretty spendy. I am trying to get one on the cheap. I see few on the bay for around 69 shipped I think I am going to go fetch one, again thank you for your advice.

So, now that I've gotten a chance to use the inflator 5 or 6 times and my sander for a couple hours, I thought I'd give some feedback.

The inflator has been so handy. I have a leak on one of my new tires around the rim, and I have a new rim on order but it's gonna be another week or two. Its at the point where it needs to be filled daily. It *****, but it is 10x easier to deal with having the inflator. Really nice connector, seals well, I like the interface a lot, and it fills amazingly fast for its size. I love that you can just set it and walk away. Def worth the $69 to me. I still want to see an air compressor from them though. Maybe NPS19 lol?

As for the sander, I was concerned initially about the runtime being that it's a brushed motor and all. But to test it out, I threw a fresh 3.0XC on it and went to town on an old wood work bench that's needed refinished(4'×8'). I had it on full speed and was able to do the entire table, thoroughly, doing several passes. I still had enough to hit some other bigger pieces I've had sitting around for a while now. Very impressed.

These should keep me happy until July. I need to start saving now, I dont really have any other Milwaukee stuff I want to buy until July(have almost everything I could ever need now). The only thing I may buy before then would be a hackzall.. I got the idea in my head that it would be useful and now I really want one after looking into it. I have the latest M18 Fuel Sawzall, so i just want something smaller for lighter jobs and it'll be nice to have two recip saws so I can keep one at home one at work.

What's the consensus on the best Hackzall? I dont want to buy one that's too wimpy, so I think that rules out the reg m12. I've been deciding between the m12 fuel and m18 fuel. Maybe the M18 non fuel would be a good option too. Idk. What do you guys think?

I have the M18 non Fuel Hackzall and it's done everything I've ever asked of it with ease. I was eventually going to buy the M18 Fuel just to upgrade but this M12 Fuel deal has been tempting me. Mainly because I don't have any 4.0 or 6.0 M12 batteries.

He is PLC268. I use my adapters a lot too. Glue gun, Ryobi nail guns, and got to use the Ryobi air mattress inflator when we went camping/shooting. I had M18 batteries for the big rover lights, perfect everything.

Awesome. Glad to see you get good use out of the ryobi milwaukee adapters.

If anyone else wants one, just PM me and we'll discuss. I haven't really advertised them or listed any for sale, but that's just because I'm lazy.

Best is relative to what you intend to do with it...I have the little one for years and I works just fine I cut out framing nails and screws cut plastic pipe bolts and small rod anything a hacksaw would do. I really really like it as an impromptu jigsaw on my construction jobs often holding it vertical with the shoe plate on work surface to make notches and such.

Dollar wise if you stay with the M18 series its pretty much a no brainer to me to get the new Fuel as the bare tool is really not that much more than the brushed model especially if you apply discount with it

I got the M18 Fuel a while back when they ran the deal with a 5.0 battery and charger for $159. It's been an awesome saw, a bit larger than the M12 Fuel but I still prefer it to my Sawzall. The M12 Fuel would be a good choice if you had some 4.0 or 6.0 batteries to run in it. The M12 non-Fuel I wouldn't bother with unless you need super compact and you're only cutting small stuff. I haven't used the M18 non-Fuel so I can't comment on that one.

No not in my opinion. And to me the whole idea behind one really is the one hand operation. So you can use your free hand to either steady yourself or hold your work


Would also seem to me if you too often find yourself using both hands on it either to bear down to cut or to just hold it from excessive vibration you need a bigger saw

Yeah that's another reason I'm torn, I'm either getting the m12 kit from HD or the M18 bare tool. I might go to HD tonight and hold them both in hand to decide

But I have a question for the guys that have experience with the M18 Fuel 7-1/4 saw.

I may pick up a reconditioned one from CPO. I only need it for a few projects this summer. Ill be repairing our front deck and adding a walk way between our two rear decks. Other than that just occasional cuts with it for very small projects.

I have 2 questions:
1. How are the reconditioned ones from CPO?
2. I have a few of the 4.0 batteries, will they do all right in the saw?I don't want to
spend the extra money for the saw with battery kit of I can get by with the 4.0's.

You just explained why you need both!

Sometimes you do need enough power to run a small city. Sometimes it's just better (and easier) with the lighter tool. The small M12 fuel stuff is so good, so much power for their size. But occasionally you need more. And when you're running a light it's nice if you don't have it turn off partway through the job because the battery is dead.

Ya the 4.0 will run the saw just fine. I've been using a 5.0 and get plenty of cuts. I have the 9.0 but the saw feels slightly more comfortable with the smaller battery.

Be interesting to see the new 6.0 HO .

As for recon you never quite know...obviously they have been returned for a reason...sometimes nothing more than simple customer dissatisfaction but obviously once its been open and of course if it was ever used it can't be sold new.

I did have an issue with the brushed 6 1/2 saw as recon in that the guide markings were off. Guess that was the reason for the return. Still was usable within reason but for me the slight discount in price wasn't really worth it.

There have been many satisfied though and including me on M12 screwdriver purchase as a recon.

So the only thing you really have to loose is your time they will take it back if you are not happy. I assume CPO is the dealer

My first combo set was from cpo as refurb. Functionally they should be fine. Cosmetics are really what's in question. Some will look almost new, some will have some slight wear on them. Don't think you're gonna get something g that's been tossed around for years and is in dire need of a new clamshell, cause I haven't seen anyone wind up with something in "bad" shape.. mine just had a couple small scratches and the white logo was a bit worn off. Perfectly acceptable for me, and I actually wound up later on finding the same drill kit half price, so I bought the new and sold my used for the same money.

Worst case if you're not satisfied, just return it.. 4.0 on a circular saw will be fine. If I remember right I think the 4.0 or 5.0 is what came in the kits when those saws first came out.
