Buying the impact kit locally no coupon it’d cost me $218 with tax. The bare tool new on eBay is $135, kit take out 2.0 batteries are $30 on eBay, charger is $24 (and would be my 4th). So is the case worth $28? Probably not as I threw away the case for my drill/impact driver set and generally use tool bags. I’ll likely buy just the bare tool to save the $52.

No trouble with lug nuts, there are plenty of reviews on YT or you can skim through some of the reviews on HD's page for the item. I bought that kit a few months back and am happy with it. It's very compact (for a battery powered impact) w/ good power. My main draw to it was due to the fact that I already had the M18 1/2 drill and 1/4 hex impact combo so I can interchange the batteries among them all and if I decided to down the road I can upgrade to the larger 5.0 or 9.0 battery pack for the impact.

Absolutely no problem at all. I purchased the high torque for changing wheels. It was a bit too heavy for me to hold comfortably with one hand, but sure beat a breaker bar. Not long after the mid torque came out I bought it to take over the same duties (3-4 cars each spring/fall, plus tinkering in the summer). Haven't touched the high torque since, though I'm sure if I need to remove an axle bolt or something I will need to pull it out again.

It will I'm sure, but don't plan on using it with a torque stick. It hits too fast for the torque stick have time to rebound and will over torque. There is a good video on YouTube on this.
I bought the high torque since it hits slower and gives the stick time to work. Used it for the first time this weekend. Bought the 80 ft. lb stick and then use my torque wrench to take it to 125.
No matter how hard I tried with my pneumatic, I was always going past the 125 ft lbs or not enough to even get it down half way.

I ended up ordering one of the M12 Fuel hammer drill with packout and the M12 Fuel impact with packout via Google Express at Home Depot. $164 total with taxes.
Only 2 x 2 Ah batteries in total...but two chargers. lol

Sure does! Better performance with a 5.0 or 9.0 battery, I don’t use the little batteries on it anymore.

I have both polishers - still haven't had a chance to use either.. I mainly bought them just to use up gift cards cause they seem to pile up faster than they get used.. 2 days ago I FINALLY went through months worth of mail ( I HATE MAIL) that I just kept throwing on a table at home, and found $700 in checks (one is over a year old) that I never deposited and 2 $100 gift cards (one from a year ago). So now that's sitting next to 5 more gift cards I just got last month.
That's one advantage to having a birthday in June. Between that and Christmas there's always gift cards showing up. anyway - I'mma assume you'd get over a hour out of a 9.0 battery on the polisher with lower rpm. I mean the grinder gets like 45 min at Max speed while it's being used, so my guess is an hour on the polisher should be easy - maybe even more.
Mind you - I'm just guessing right now.
I think my found money is going towards a mattress this time.. I bought one of those cheap ones from Amazon for like $200 a few months ago hoping to avoid $1,000 + on a new one that's only good for a few years anyway - but my back doesn't seem happy about that decision. How bout an M18 adjustable bed for an idea...

Alright, Milwaukee has released some things I asked for that I literally thought would NEVER happen like a heat gun and rivet gun.

I let the impact free spin it in then hammer twice. Then I put the vehicle down and grab the torque wrench. I know it takes an extra minute but it seems to be the only way to do it right and not just 'good enough.'

Really a solid, down-to-earth review!
The guy's got common sense to say if you believe the claims that it's better than gas, you're an idiot. But it still very much has its place.
I also like that he points out that he could start cutting at 7:30a and not disturb his neighbors. For that reason alone I don't understand why every pro wouldn't want one in their line-up.

I'm in need of a belt sander to strip a bunch of cedar siding. I cruised my normal Milwaukee dealers without any success, and I don't see one listed on their website either. I wasn't sure I'd find or buy a M18 version(run time), but I expected them to still have a corded version.

No, no cordless belt sanders anytime soon.
Power was out all night on the 9th through 10th - I opened the window and ran the M18 fan on low pointed at me and was able to sleep and not be too terribly sweaty in the morning.
I had a 9.0 battery in it and about 9 hours on low took it down to 2 bars.

What is the difference in the m12 screwdrivers 2401-22 and 2401-20. They look to be the same with what looks to be identical specs. If it has already been discussed, please direct me there as I couldn't find it.

I dunno if it's any good but there's a Ryobi one, think I saw it on Direct Tools outlet last nite. A $27 adapter from Surebonder on Amazon and you're rockin' M18 batts....assuming no fitment issues w however the adapter goes into the tool

The screwdriver and work light kit would be the better buy. The screwdriver seemed identical to me.
