but what will you do with all that "watching" time you will have free now?
as a note, i have found that to speed paint drying, it is better to put the fan close to the object, pointing away. draws air over it, and less **** gets on the paint than blowing the fan onto it. . . . .

plenty of talk, but nothing from Milwaukee. I have a feeling that would be showcased in one of their NPS shows, rather than just dropped in the mix mid year (wintertime) without fanfare.

Last week when I got my chainsaw, I called Milwaukee about the replacement battery housing for my 2130 Rocket light, so I could use the new 12.0ah battery with it. Within 5 minutes they had my (free!) order placed, and I received it in 4 days. Finally made the swap last night, not too difficult, just a ton of T15 torx screws.

I'm wanting to get the M18 FUEL 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless Surge Impact and Hammer Drill Combo Kit 2-Tool with (2) 5.0Ah Batteries. It's on special buy at HD for $379.00 right now. Have they ever done a free tool with this kit? I'm not in a big hurry. I'm always hesitant to buy because they seem to do deals with something free pretty often. Thanks

I don't see that kit w/ a free tool often & $380 for just kit definitely isn't a deal.
I suggest signing up at Acmetools. They have 15-20% off sales a few times per year. Cpo or CpoOutlets.com is another good seller sometimes.

Hope so. 5ah for $50-60 on Ebay.
I'd like a compact 2.5 or 3.0 for $30-40. The m18 6ah is almost pointless to me when the 9.0 is $90-110 alone or less in a kit.
I have the 4.5/5 Fuel grinder. A 6 or 7" would help in some cases.

Yeah but give it a year or less and HO 6.0s will be $65-75 in resale market, batteries go for about half of list on secondary market.

If you don't have any new tools, I can understand your thoughts on the 6ah battery. But for those of us that do have one of the new tools, the 9ah isn't able to provide as much current/amps/watt hours/ whatever as the new 6ah HO battery. For run time on an older tool, I'd throw a 9ah in for sure. But if you are slowing progressing to the new tools, I'd like to have some 6ah around rather than 5' or 9's, as I would get tired of the extra weight of the 12 over the course of time.

Needed to run a 1/4" bit thru the existing hole prob is 10mm and I had to shorten even my shortest 1/4x 20 machine screw a 5/8" down to just 3/8"
Milwaukee did not leave much wiggle room with that blind hole and threaded insert they used

Did Mikwaukee sneak in a nwer model of compact rotary hammer?. I just went to buy another one, and it looks like they have a small 1 1/8" model for $349 over the 1" model for $299.. I just got another $299 model cause it works fine for what I need anyway, but I don't remember that other model being an option..
Very disappointed hd is t stocking the Milwaukee measuring wheels anymore.. I actually had to **** it up and buy a Lufkin.

Does Milwaukee’s parent company also own the Ridgid company? The 12 volt battery made me wonder due to similarities with the m12. Plus the fact that Milwaukee makes their own version of the tool.

TTI manufactures Ridgid under license from Emerson, so they don't technically "own" Ridgid. Somewhat of a technicality but, theoretically, Emerson could move to Chervon or someone else if they wanted to, depending upon contract provisions of course.

I just got a 2111 "hardhat" headlamp today. I thought it odd the battery seemed so dead it wouldn't power on at all out of the package (also got the 700L flashlight today which did not perform like this).
Anyway it seemed to charge fine and eventually began flashing orange which is the "middle" stage of charging for the USB stuff. At this point I unplugged it 'cause I wanted to play with it and it worked fine.
Plugged it back in and it resumed charging but shortly after there was NO charge indicator light whatsoever. I unplugged and it won't come on. The battery works fine in my flashlight. I tried bending the contacts in the headlamp for better contact at the battery, but nothing.
I also confirmed my USB power source is still hot. Something has gone awry w the circuitry in the headlamp I'm convinced.
I was charging off my 2792 radio using the provided Milwaukee USB cable so everything was 100% Milwaukee.
I guess I'll try warranty. The Red USB stuff doesn't come up yet in the OK app for inventory so I'm curious if it'll come up on E-Service.

I don't have pics but I have 2 drills and nut drivers, and an impact. Great tools. My dad had a 27 year old reciprocating saw that finally went out. Amazing quality.

NOT Milwaukee - but imma post this here for any of you guys that work mobile. These 6” husky organizers are great for contractors, service trucks, etc.. I have like 3 or 4 on a few different trucks by now to make “kits”. They are the perfect size for standard drill bits, short sds plus bits, screws, anchors, cable clamps, etc. anything with small parts.. I only use a few different size drill bits, so I dont need a whole set cause they’d never get used. What’s great too is all the dividers come out, you can arrange it any way you need, and best part - they are clear and only have one latch.. there’s no guessing what’s inside, or how many things are left in it. AND - at only $4 you can buy a bunch. Small enough to fit in a tool bag, tool trays, shelves inside a service truck.. I honestly love these things. Ive given up on guys putting things back inside Milwaukee driver organizers, inside slots, etc.. with these you can just throw in the stuff you need, take it out easy, put it back in easy.. and its small enough to fit in the small tool tray in our bucket trucks. And it beats dragging out the big Milwaukee organizers filled with a dozen other things you dont need.. saves a lot of space too. I wish Milwaukee would make a small organizer just like this, with a clear top..
My most used “kit” has the 2 dividers removed on one side and hold about a dozen masonry bits.. the other half has 1 divider in it. The longer side has 2 Milwaukee impact sockets with 1/4” hex adapters on them, (if I dont get an adapter for every socket, then people take the sockets off and either the sockets or the adapters get lost. I have to make things idiot proof), nut drivers, Phillips head bits. The smaller compartment holds milwaukee’s bigger step bit, and it fits perfectly.. all the most used bits, sockets, drivers all fit in one organizer with enough room for doubles and triples on some items.
Another organizer has just the center divider, with plastic wall anchors and self tapping screws (since they’ll work with the anchors, go in wood, plastic, metal - 1 screw for all needs) with two 1/4” masonary bits, one standard, one sds plus. Other half is filled with 3/8 cable clamps and a Dewalt (I know) 5/16 nut driver for the 1” screws.. having the needed drill bits and nut driver to use JUST with the stuff in this kit, keeps people from opening the other kit too, to get stuff. figure it cuts the idiot factor in half with losing things. the Dewalt nut drivers are actually nice cause they are about twice as long as the Milwaukee ones.. the nut drivers, and German made sds plus bits are the only dewalt stuff I buy, and only lowes seems to stock those sds bits that have 4 cutter heads even on the 1/4” bits if I remember right.
These have been real problems solvers for me. Makes things fast and easy to find, use, and store again. Figured I’d share since even some people at my job haven’t found a way to **** this system up yet..

And since I'm sharing, I think I posted this once before somewhere else, but if anyone else needs the PERFECT belt mounted tie wrap holder/dispenser - do yourself a favor and buy the nite ize mag light holster in hd for $8.. there is nothing else worthwhile out there.

It seems that all of my lights are either hand held or floor stand units which just shine in my eyes. Those tired old eyes need more light for household and garage shop projects. In addition, I needed a large 5.0ah M18 battery and found this deal on CPO. The new small tower light can also work AC, where the old one is battery only. So I guess the old ones are on some sort of close out list. Anyway, instead of just a battery, I ordered the battery powered only tower light with the bundled 5.0 battery. And this thing is just 'da bomb. My eyes are happy with this one.

80 bucks for what looks like a 10 dollar fan is the hold up for me. I could totally use a cordless fan but the overall lack of features has me wondering If Milwaukee will have an updated version coming out.

I really like mine, though the AC power option would be better if it were integral instead of using an external transformer.
I paid $51 shipped for mine a while back, I'm not sure if I would pay $80.

Yep. To easily tell the battery only stand light apart from the new (slightly brighter) AC option stand light is to look at the reflector behind the LEDs. On the old one, it is shiny silver, on the new one, it is white.
I love mine, it could have more features sure, but it's very convenient to have a fan without having to find an open outlet or ext. cord. Especially during a power outage its kept me from laying awake. Good for camping as well
I commented the other day to someone that the fan may be the best $60 I’ve spent lately. I use it for everything even if it’s just to keep the bugs off when outside.
