Wonder if ACME or anyone is gonna run a deal on them soon... I will bite at $159 before too much longer if I don't come across a better price soon.

I get the majority of my red tools from Acme or CPO, I'm waiting for them to pop up on Acme's site so I can use a coupon code and get it a bit cheaper. Really anxious to get the 1/2" ring model to go with my M18 mid torque. There's always a spot or two where the mid torque is too deep to fit.

On one hand they have 30+ M1, M12, M18 lights, what's one more.

On the other hand they already have 30+ freaking lights, surely one can serve your purpose.... M12 Rover, M18 Trueview Flood (2360), M18 Stick, M18 Search, M18 Rover.

You have the M18 Search light right, stand on table and the head can tilt to angle you need. M18 Rover can perform similar with adjustable face.

Oh but you prolly want it in M12 variation lol.

I can't wait to get the M12 stand light...

Ive come to the conclusion Milwaukee needs to make another m12 led light.. you know the new m12 rocket light coming - i want that, about 1/10th the size.. a table top version.. its occurred to me they dont make anything that’s like that old dewalt 18v nicad gooseneck light that you can sit down and aim the head anywhere, especially down on the table you’re working on. There’s nothing to sit on a workbench that’s stable enough, tall enough, and articulate enough that you can place it next to what you’re working on, on a table, and aim the light down and over what you’re working on. PATENT PENDING...

I think their M12 LED lantern light covers that pretty well. I don't see a real need for a small tripod base on top of a workbench.

Lantern can’t be aimed and is a wide angle flood light.. its also bulky for “small” light.. gimme something half that size with a folding tripod leg, and a mast that can deploy 10” up that has an articulating flat panel bulb fixture. none of the m12 lights can be aimed, new rocket light excluded. Want something small and light for a portable work bag. And i mean MINIMALIST portable.. the ability for something to be carried, and actually WANTING to carry that something 3 city blocks, and up a sky scrapers while 20 other people are in the way and waiting for freight elevators too are two ENTIRELY different things. Especially when there’s a lot of other things that you need to take with you too. NOBODY wants to make two trips coming, and 2 more going, just to take tools in and out.. i want th heaviest thing on the light to be the 1.5 amp hr battery pack. .. i mean really - even one of those gooseneck led book lights would be good.. nobody wants a “camping lantern” in a a tool kit they are trying to keep small.

I’m trying to convert one of the splicers at work to Milwaukee too.. i was making fun of his 18v Nicad dewalt drill and work light. And he was like what do you mean its ****, its brand new i just bought it.. i said - NO - it was “new” when your 17 yr old helper was the strongest swimming sperm cell, now its just vintage reproduction..

Unlikely, aside from pre order deals, takes at least one cycle before New things available are in promos. New promos out today and some run till end of October. Guess I am not getting the chainsaw for my birthday this month.

Saw gen 2 circ saw kit with 12.0 in HD yesterday.

I want one of these.

I still have a couple of those dewalts somewhere. They worked great when new but after a while loosened up and wouldn't stay up. They weren't very sturdy, a fall from the attic is fatal. Although not a problem with new led lights, I killed bulbs all the time from small drops. I liked them at the time but with my new led lights I don't miss them.

Mount one of these to a little gooseneck stand. If you need something even smaller/lighter, wear a headlamp.

Anybody have any opinions on or experience with the 2355 M12 LED Metal Flashlight? It seems like it would be a good "take the trash out in the dark" kinda light...

Still being impressed by the little inflator. Had a heavy load of tools on single 6 x 10 cargo trailer this past weekend and noticed the tires looked a little flattened. So I just brought both up to 50psi (the max) one from 40psi the gauge read and 36 psi on the other. A little over a minute on the first one and about 2 minutes for the second one.

Since I have had it still has the same 4.0XC in it and still shows 3 bars

Love that auto shutoff

$300 for the backpack vacuum tool only seems pricey.

I know a lot of people love theirs, but I wasn't a huge fan & mine was free. The body was a little thick for me, not much but enough to prefer another light for my size hands. I was hoping it was going to be a little brighter for the size/weight as well. It's little heavy to me, at least compared to other options. They have had promo's where you get it with a knife, or a battery, which makes it more reasonable, if you need those things.

As far as giving a good bopping to a nefarious stranger, it will definitely get the job done.

My go to flashlight, for now, is the Coast HP8R. It uses a rechargeable lithium battery w/ built in micro USB port, or a carrier that holds 4xAAA batteries. Coast also makes a set of colored lenses that work with this light. It was just as bright as the M12 & built solid. I can put in on my belt and not have my pants falls down, actually it's small enough to fit into a pocket.

For only being intended on hard floors, I have to unfortunately pass, but the price does seem a little steep. I so wanted it to work for an office I clean occasionally, as they probably would have sprang for it, but don't think it will work well for the floors.

I was going to compare it to to other upright type cordless vacs price wise, but none I know of can handle liquid. So the next comparable vac in my mind is the boxy M18 vac. To jump from $100 to $300, seems more like a leap.

If I could only convert it into a leaf vac & mulcher :headscrat

Thanks for the input. Having a light that uses M12 batteries is appealing to me. The Coast light does look like a nice deal.

Oh didn't realize the backpack is wet dry, power and capacity is same as M18 box, seems a ******** box handle is better value lol

I like it alot, have 2 thinking about keeping a 3rd I have. Within the platform it's a great light, probably lots of non milwaukee lights that are better. It's very powerful, has beam adj. Though as a take out trash light the AAA penlight or M1 USB flashlight might be better, unless you want one that's M12. Its big and heavy. Everyone I sold one to loves it also.

Used Milwaukee's warranty for the first time. Chuck was sticking and lost power on my original m18 one key hammer drill. Didn't have the original receipt, they didn't care just asked for the serial number, saw that it was a little over 2 years old and still under warranty. They sent a UPS driver to pick it up and 3 days later I had my drill back with a new chuck working like new. Bill inside said 178.00 but was zeroed out for warranty.

Have had one for a few weeks now. When I take out the trash I also check the water level in my grow boxes. It is hard to see the fill hole through all the plant stems and low powered lights don't show the water level. But the 2355 throws a torch in there and the level is easy for my tired eyes to see. It is also a good power fail flash light.

Just got the rotary tool to replace my aging Dremel. Side by side they look like brothers, or cousins, at least. It seems to have much more torque and I am liking it a lot. All the Dremel accessories fit just fine.

There's only so many ways to fit a battery, motor, and spinny thing on the end. :bounce:

Good to know the Dremel accessories fit, I use the flex shaft all the time. I have both a corded and cordless Dremel and if the cordless goes I'd love to replace it with the M12 given my abundance of Milwaukee batteries.

Recently picked up the 2721 fuel one key sawzall for cheap (2 of them actually to bundle with the HD 9.0 kit). It puts my corded craftsman professional reciprocating saw to shame!

Thanks, it's on my list of things to buy since the Hitachi 12v version I had died last week on me...

So thanks to this thread I finally talked myself into some Milwaukee tools. I have always liked them.

I picked up the m12 fuel hammer drill and impact driver combo. So far, they have been more than enough for what work I have to do around the house.

Yesterday, I noticed the big box store has the m12 fuel hackzall set with free jigsaw, led light, or ratchet. I have some small bushes and tree limbs to saw up and was wondering if the m12 fuel hackzall is worth the money for the occasional project. For bigger projects I do have access to a corded super sawzall and I am not sure I quiet need a cordless (yet ;) )

It'll handle that no problem. A few weeks ago I had to use one to cut up an 8"-10" tree limb that came down in my yard. It wasn't the fastest thing, but it went through it without complaining. It chewed right through the smaller parts of it with ease.

Anyone comment on the Superhawg and the smaller holehawg? Using a corded dewalt at work and I honestly don't mind the cord, its the weight that bothers me. Looks like these weigh about the same, but the benefit of no cord might be nice if all things are equal at that point, similar RPM (1200 v 1300) and so fourth. They advertise the Superhawg can do 75 2 and 9/16th holes, which is probably an upstairs and main level rough-in for us, tho I guess if I'm drilling through 3 2x4s...probably doesn't count as a single hole. Anyone?

Also these special buys at Home Depot have me going crazy.

M12 Fuel Impact Packout - 99

M18 Fuel Sawzall + 5.0 - 179.99

M18 Fuel Grinder + 5.0 - 149.99

M18 Fuel Hole Hawg + 5.0 - 249.99

Any reason I shouldn't buy...all of these? Someone stop me or tell me the deals aren't that good, or that black Friday will deliver? Or just...buy them? Says the prices are good tell October.

Everyone I know who has a baby hawg or super hawg loves them, if you do a lot of holes over 2.5" better to get the super. The claimed holes per 5.0/9.0 are over rated, even with new bits or hole saws. The big hawg hole saws are worth the money but just remember you need to run them on low.

Well that m18 deal at HD is making me reconsider the m12 fuel hackzall... for an m18 sawzall. Just don't get a charger.

Looking online, the grinder appears to be the non fuel version

Edit: never mind it is the fuel grinder. That is tempting... I need a grinder too....

Milwaukee has 30+ lights? :headscrat I own exactly 0. There are a few that are nice, but the prices keep me from buying them.

i have several now. i understand where you are coming from.

like the other milwaukee tools, the lights are of high quality. while you can get something else for less for literally any of the milwaukee lights, they dont seem to throw as much light, they seem to go thru batteries faster, they dont seem to hold up to dropping as well, and the magnets and such dont seem to hold as well.

and, once you are "properly invested" in batteries, you never need to worry about forgetting to [buy batteries|charge the light|find a place to plug it in].

some are better than others, of course, but if you get the chance to get, say, one of those 2130 (or 2135) lights at the local HD for cheap, give it a try. you might be surprised.

Made my next milwaukee purchase/addition, was trying to drill holes in some angle iron tonight and my fully charged dewalt only got through four holes before completely draining the battery so instead of purchasing a new battery I went ahead and ordered the 2504-20.
