What were they before the jump? I've been eyeing them to pair with a 3/8 stubby.

Speaking of, if a guy has the 2767 High torque and gets a 3/8 stubby and has a full set of sockets in both sizes, which size mid torque should he get? Mainly to be used for DIY automotive stuff.

1/2” mid torque. Then your high torque will sit idley til needed.

I just got one on ebay with their 10% coupon for $138.59 but it expires soon not to mention they are selling fast (I had one in my cart from a different seller and it sold in a matter of minutes since I put it in my cart) since Milwaukee just raised the prices on them so you better hurry!

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Milwaukee-...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

That same seller has the boot for the 3/8 and 1/2" stubby.

Went ahead with the 3/8 Stubby w the Acme promo. The bundle was 259 before, now 269 less 18% off. Only other deal I saw for this was 11% off 259 on Veteran's day.

Thanks to this board that convinced me that I had to have the stubby! This is my first buy-in to one of these systems... I hope I don't regret going M12 rather than into the M18

Now I've got to pick up the Astro nano sockets

Today got expensive quick! I bought the 2598-22 m12 fuel hammer drill/impact driver kit with the 2.0 and 4.0 batteries and charger from HD for $169 to make my first official purchase into the m12 line and then that quickly spiraled when I realized the prices of the stubbies is going up everywhere so I grabbed a 3/8 stubby on eBay with the 10% off today for $138. While searching for the best price on that I found the 3/8 fuel ratchet with two 4.0 batteries for $193 after 10% so that was a good enough deal for me to feel ok pulling the trigger on those as well.

These should go nicely with all of my m18 stuff.

What can you guys tell me about the little "DustBuster style" vacs 0850-20 and 0882-20?

I know the M18 is surely much better, but to this point I have eight or ten M12 tools and have not adopted M18s at all, yet.
Is the little M12 vac good enough or does it **** in a bad way?
Is the M18 version *so good* that I should consider the platform?
(I'm only interested in a one-hand-operated vac, not backpacks, canisters or shop vacs, etc)

Should I just be sensible and go buy a DustBuster down at Wally World?

That m12 vac has never gotten good reviews.. i have 2 of the m18 models and they are both great. Your impression will depend on your expectations. Watch some review and comparison vids on YouTube - you’ll get an idea what it’ll do.

So do you guys register your tools online, I bought a few different tools and decided to actually register them and their site doesn't give any option to do it.

Am I blind or is it not there?

I just looked too :headscrat

I don't believe they do that :dunno: serial number/date code or POP receipt is just what they go by for warranty service

This off the warranty page

Note:
•Date code of tool will be used to determine if product is within warranty period
• Copy of invoice or bill of sale will be required for warranty verification if date code is over warranty period
•Warranty Registration is not necessary to obtain the applicable warranty on a Milwaukee Tool® product

Now though for your OWN purposes you can create an account, your "Dashboard" as they call it and keep an inventory log online of all your tools purchase dates, serial# etc. It's all part of the One Key App tracking system. but you can just use it even without the One Key App tracking features or owning One Key tools

Create an account and then hit the one key launch button

Best we got

I never saw any way to register tools, they go by either the date code on the tool (wich disappears with use) or the store receipt if the date code isnt there.

I'd rather have a way of registering then keeping receipts myself

Thanks, I saw the one key but I don't have any of those so didn't bother looking there. I read the same info you put on here so I think if it breaks they just go off the date code that makes sense.

I've never registered anything but figured it might be a good idea to start but then their site is really confusing.

Yeah and I'm horrible at keeping receipts and like you say the numbers all wear off with use. I might have to start taking pictures of the tools I have and their numbers and store them in a file on my computer.....I have more faith in the tools outlasting the computer.

Usually on the box right next to the UPC is another label that has the model number and serial number. I just cut all those off the boxes and save in case the model # gets worn off the tool.

They did years ago. I registered my Milwaukee tools on their website 4 years ago and was able to see them and the serial numbers for the tools. I logged in last week and saw them all in my account.

If I remember correctly, there was even registration instructions inside the boxes they came in.

I guess they don't do it that way anymore. Be sure to save the serial numbers now, as they seem to wear off after time.

Fedex just dropped this off, ordered Sunday from BC Fasteners in Vancouver as part of their BF deals

If anyone wants the M12 stubby 1/4 socket 2552 tool, this is not the hex one, its the proper 1/4 impact. Maxtool still has the old price of 219 for the 2552-22 kit and CYBER25 gets you down to 194. I couldnt resist and ordered one even though I didnt want to.

Geez now I gotta order another boot... the boot for it is the same as the hex impact stubby 49-16-2553 fyi

So what you guys think will happen to the 24inch rolling bag now that the hard packout special is the same price. Why would anyone buy the bag at it's current $199 price tag :dunno:

Many places have had it on special for 149 the past month. A contractor working in my building had it, said he loves it, I told him its built so you can sit on it, he had no idea.

If any of you are interested you can do all that with the Milwaukee dashboard. Add a photo too. Then all your documentation is online if the comp crashes or you cant find receipts. I haven't really been keeping up with it myself, but I should.

Its actually really easy and I am by no means a techie for doing **** like this either!

Just a couple of months ago I had to send out not just one, but TWO tools for warranty service and both were over the 4 year mark from purchase date but still under the 5 year exclusion. I did actually find the original sales invoices that came with the tools and mostly that was pure luck :shocking:

Though the serial number alone would have covered the time frame for warranty 14214019 Seems my tool sure wasn't sitting around in warehouse back then

Most stuff I get lately has no printed material included anymore and the only record is either the email confirmation or the sale at the tool place only IF you have registered account like I do at ACME. Since I buy from various places that also is nuisance to try to look it up. And especially with HD

Here's what the dashboard looks like

That’s exactly what I do. Tape it on the front of the tool’s respective manual, which is then stashed in my toolbox’s “manual” section :D

Anyone know what the warranty is on Packout? Buddy keeps talking about the wheels on the roller shitting the bed. Seems it happens often. Will have to look at all mine to see if there is any difference if perhaps they updated them.

I did a quick search and one source said "lifetime" and another said "limited lifetime."

I've been wanting the M18 jigsaw for a while now (read: several years), but other purchases kept jumping the line. It looks like they just upped the price on me, though... I seem to recall it being $129 (bare tool) earlier this year?

They upped the prices almost across the board pretty recently, likely due to tariffs. You may still be able to find it from somewhere that hasn't adjusted the price yet.

I picked up the 3/8 stubby and ratchet on eBay during the 10% off the other day frm sellers that hasn't raised their prices yet just for this very reason.

Also in the spirit of Milwaukee love I finished my facelift (minus paint) on my first wall tonight and stated hanging some tools.

Thanks for the lineup photo - it shows the size differences. The 1/4" brushed and 1/4" Fuel don't actually seem that much different in head size.

I have been considering getting a 1/4" M12 ratchet. What is your opinion on the differences between them?

I think my question got buried - anybody have any input on this?

I was surprised how much smaller the Fuel 1/4 was compared to the Fuel 3/8 & 1/2. Its close to the non fuel ones but a little bigger.

I plan to keep all 5 of the ratchets. The non fuel ones have plenty of power for how I use them and are faster than the fuels. The extra power of the fuels is only worth it for the 3/8 & 1/2 I think. If you want a 1/4 the non fuel can be had in the non retail space for $65ish, versus $125 for the fuel. You could almost get both the non fuels on CL or Offer Up cheaper than one fuel model.

I only got the fuel 1/4 cause I got a triple deal on it, never intended to buy it, same with the stubby 1/4. But I can not pass up great deals.

Used the chainsaw for the first time yesterday. I'm very impressed, much more power than the Ryobi brushless 40V. I'd say it's as good as my Stihl MS180C. The Stihl may have more chain speed (or maybe it's just psychological due to the screaming 2 stroke) but the Milwaukee would have it beat in torque if you try to bog each.

The biggest problem I see w the M18 chainsaw? It *looks* like a toy. Not much of a problem if you value function over form but it's less likely to win over skeptics. Good, bad or indifferent it's a fact that appearances affect consumer perception and spending

It almost looks like the 46" they had last year, doesnt look 52" big. They are coming out with a smaller version of the mobile center in either wood or stainless top.

I thought HD was going to have the new 52" for the holiday season.

New Milwaukee boxes coming out. That 56" combo looks awesome!

https://www.facebook.com/protoolreviews/photos/a.10150179270633003/10156213718378003/?type=3

EDIT: Apparently this is launching in January. Looks like it is their response to the new tariffs that caused the other toolboxes to not be available because of size/metal gauge.

I did a google search on the model numbers and found this on the Homeless Despot's site, clearly says 56": https://images.homedepot-static.com/catalog/pdfImages/38/383cd746-759b-49c6-836d-01652efc0b83.pdf

Are these different from the discontinued Gen 2 box from a year or two ago?

Apparently 56" wide and 22" deep, plus 18 gauge steel to comply with the new tariffs. The gen 2 box was 19 gauge. And it has the electronic locks.

I like it a lot myself. I only used 2 battery bars cutting a bunch of wood recently on & off for a few hours. The saw only slowed down a bit on the 12"+ diameter oak pieces & some madrone. This will be awesome to take on hiking or biking trails to clear after the storms. The looks don't really bother me, but it's odd how long it is aft of the spikes. I'm gonna find a cheap 30-32" long container to store in. I'm planning to get 1 or 2 spare chains so I can just throw one on when needed & sharpen later.

I look forward to seeing this new setup. I really liked the Gen 2 box but it disappeared before I could buy one.

If you don't already I would recommend carrying one of the Hackzalls as a companion tool to the chainsaw.

I carry a Makita X2 chainsaw & a Bosch hackzall equivalent when I do trail cleanup. I plan to actually sell the Bosch & get a couple of the M12 Fuel Hackzalls to carry along with the Makita.
