True, but I really just use this one for walking the dog. I was regretting not getting the spotlight when it was on sale with a free battery - when he roams ~40 ft away at the bottom of the yard this one is too scattered to see him well.

Seems like a good excuse to buy the M12 flashlight. Or the USB flash light.. do u see a trend in my replies yet??

Get one of these NiteIze lights for you dog's collar. I love being able to pinpoint my dog almost instantly with this super bright light. Before that, but still used sometimes, is this LED strap that I put on over her collar & run it on blinking mode. I think both were around $5-6 each when they were on sale.

I will replace when Milwaukee releases something better :) On that, my dog is wondering when a heated coat for her will be released, though she might just fit in a modified hand warmer. lol

Ex gf of mine had horses years ago. She also worked for the horse supply company called weatherbeatta (or something like that). They make this horse blanket for dogs that she got for my Shepherd. Off topic - but Google horse blanket for dogs if you really want something. Things are so easy to put on (not that I even use it anymore), but it really is a great "dog jacket". Water proof, not expensive - look for that company name. Great product.

Public notice - talk me out of buying a Mossberg 930 spx. Lol. Christmas bonus coming.

Thanks kc, I checked them out on chewy and they look pretty nice - but he sure hates wearing a jacket. They even make them in extra small (see picture of him hanging out while I tinker, don't mind the mess).

And for your comment, no man should ever talk another sane man out of buying guns, ever.

Has anyone tried using the new 1/2" stubby impact with a lisle crank bolt socket? Looking to do my girlfriend's timing belt. While looking online, not sure if I will be able to fit the socket and high torque 1/2" gun between the crank pully and ac condenser.

Cant you just unmount the condenser and move out of the way without disconnecting the lines?

What type of vehicle? I'm curious because on most vehicles I'd think you would worry about the fan shroud or radiator before the condenser.:headscrat

My girlfriend's Lexus IS300. Every manual/video I've come across says to remove the shroud and radiator, and the condenser can stay. On Lexus forums, most people either use a 4'+ cheater bar or bump the starter with a breaker bar wedged against the floor. From what I've seen, once you have the puller on the harmonic balancer, there's about an inch of clearance between the end of the forcing screw and condenser, so not even sure if the stubby will fit.

I may need to talk to my SO dealer about getting me an FRW10. I don't think they're released yet, but looks like a perfect application.

EDIT: Dealer just texted me saying they're available!

Just picked up the M12 stapler and rover. Did the battery return thing. She didn’t even ask if there was a problem with them. I’m sure she’s seen a lot of it happening.

No, she just knows what she is doing. If it is a sealed brand new battery, I think something is wrong with the service person if they do ask. Either they have become a robot up there, or aren't even looking at the package if they ask that.
That along with giving them change to get a full dollar back (rather than more change), and their eyes light up like the earth is ending. The last rep yelled at me to "let me finish" when I gave her a quarter to get a $20 bill back. Then it was "what do you want now?" Uhh, several minutes of my life back.

Has anyone used any Dremel Ultra-Saw blades (3.5") on their m12 cut-off tool. I was excited when I first read it would work with Dremel blades, but in closer reading tonight, the M12 page says it will work with Dremel Saw-max blades, which are only 3".

Ideally, I'd like to use the shroud, but if not, it would at least allow me to use my collection of blades I have for my 3.5" Roto-zip saw attachement.

Lol no - different one.. far as the other story.. after a 2 hr convo of crying and telling me how all these other people “know” about it, but she was scared to tell me, didn’t wanna “ruin” my life when i was younger , etc.. And saying she needed some help financially (cause Ive always helped in the past when she was desperate or in a situation she needed to get out of, due to the fact that shes real good at getting herself in said situations (obviously) i said sure, no problem - a dna kit will be there soon with $200 cash to cover “the stamp to mail it back” and we’ll go from there.. 2 weeks in, it went it to, youre probably, then I’m really not sure.. what’s it a month now, more ?? - and the kit has yet to be mailed back to my house.. ill admit publicly theres a chance, i offered to help if that was the case (after all i do own a house, live in it alone, and make a decent living) - but for whatever her warped reasoning is - will not send the kit back to me- which makes NO SENSE - cause she only had something to gain in that scenario, nothing to loose - from a guy shes been chasing for years.

For the record - there is another guy who’s (cough) “been” the father for the last 12 years, (not someone shes had a relationship with in 10 yrs or more) that i was told “also knows its really you” - which i dont buy for a ******* second btw.. but the situation is completely stagnant now. So i feel i did my part, my door is open, but I’m not just sending money across the country every time you need something without proof..

and recent facebook posts appear the girl that just moved across the country back with her family to get out of a 9 year long abusive relationship from a completely different guy (which i helped to partly fund BTW, after THAT GUY took all her money, and even the $25 her son had a week before she left if you can believe it) - the girl that was never gonna depend on “a man” again - seems to be with - another man already.. lol..

I dont have the heart to start messaging her mother on Facebook with questions, possibly making her daughter look insane. The girls father is in very poor health right now. her / possibly “my” son is now living in a nice house in Utah surrounded by his extended family, pets, and in a much better situation then they were - and even IF he really is my son - I’m not about to DEMMAND - YOU BRING HIM HERE NOW, since he spent years getting bounced aroud, different homes, different people, different schools etc, BUT - as stated - the door is open, the opportunity is there, all ya gotta do is take a dna test.

I hope this helped to feed everyone’s need for gossip at least. Lol

Thing is awesome.. everyone thats a mechanic should by it. Everyone that needs a small area worklight should too. And everyone that just wants it (me) should also buy it.. lol

Awesome is just what I said back in Post #16416 about the 2114 USB light :D

Price is fairly steep but reasonably worth it much more useful to me than something like those high performance M12 metal flashlights

Got my M18 FUEL Surge impact driver back from warranty repair. Purchased new in August from Home Depot and didn't last very long. Only used it to replace screws in wood picket fence and replace a couple door hinge screws. It would spin but anytime I needed to drive a screw, it would make the impact noises but not drive it into the wood. Also leaked out some fluid when I attempted to use it to take apart some old garden planter boxes. Are impact drivers not meant to be used in reverse?

They replaced the motor (stated it was burned out) and the electronics (intermittent operation). Hopefully it will last. It was my first Milwaukee Tool purchase and first impact driver!

Picked up a 2731-20 saw today for a $100 from HD. It was a display model that had sat up in the racks and never actually been displayed. They had two of them but the other one was pretty beat up from being handled so many peoples booger hooks. They had it priced at $134.25 so I offered the guy working there a $100 even for it and without even thinking about it he said sure.

Is Milwaukee ever going to do a green laser level? They seem pretty committed to the red stick levels (although my levels are Stabila)

I've got a bazzilion tools on the M18 and M12 platform and really don't want to buy a Dewalt 12v green laser.....but........maybe have to.....

Yea you’d think this would be something easy enough and obviously worth doing.. although it took them like a decade to figure out people would buy a hammer.

I of course can't find it now, but I've seen some 3rd party boots for the HTIW. They we're in a shiny red, that was sort of off-putting to me. I'll look again later for a picture. I want to say they were selling ~50% of a genuine Milwaukee.

It's a press tool for crimping pipe instead of soldering it. You can see it in use here. It's cool stuff. The downside is the tools are $1800, and the crimp connectors are 5x-10x the price of solder connections.

What he said!

Got lucky, $1498 shipped for this one. Fittings are pricey, but the 1/2” & 3/4” fittings have come down in price a bit compared to a few years ago. Used a zoro 25% off coupon and stocked up on some 1/2” and 3/4” stuff.

Time saved easily outweighs the extra cost of the connectors. In new construction situations most houses can be plumbed completely in a single day with pex and the proper tools.
