Stoked on the edger, hopefully can upgrade my old string trimmer somehow without having to buy a new one and sell the old one. Wish they would release a lawn mower already!
The first thing I do with any new saw is throw away the blade that came with it and toss a Diablo blade on it. I've got standard ripping blades as well as high tooth count finish blades for my 6 1/2", 7 1/4" and my 10" miter. Also just as an fyi homedepot has several Diablo blade options in the buy one get one free packages still from the holidays which is a good way to stock up on blades.
Did Milwaukee release all the blades they were coming out with yet?
I have it.. it works.. i dont have the m18 version to compare it to, but i can tell you the m12 is not one of those tools that makes you say “holy ****” after you use it.. its nothing over impressive, but it works just fine for small work - which is what its intended for anyway. They do make that right angle m12 1/4” hex chuck impact driver as well, which will also work for drilling with the appropriate bits..
Anyone want to educate me on a m18 floodlight? Best bang for the buck, etc. Thanks fellas.

Looks like it would work well for a gasket remover pad too.

Sweet saw...so lightweight and cuts fast. Really a joy to use!![]()
Yea I held the 2732 and did t care for the added weight. I made up my mind after reading some reviews comparing the two. I think I made the right choice for my needs.

I made this with mine this weekend, 5/8 plywood and 2x4s it went thru like butter and didn't even use a bar of power. FYI go back to HD and buy a couple Diablo blades because they make a good saw great.![]()

Where does the xtra weight come in on a 2732 besides the monster 12.0amp battery?
Curious is the motor larger and the saw bigger?
I haven't seen one to hold or really spec'd it out
The 2731 has done allright for me for the most part though didn't want to cut thru the wet 2x PT lumber and 3/8" plywood stack on my wagon project went about a foot into it and just stalled and stopped![]()
Looks nice, I eye'd that one for a while but never pulled the trigger
I believe the 2732 is able to achieve 5800 rpms with a HO 6 or 12ah battery, otherwise it maxes out near 5,000 rpms. The problem in store is they have the new saw stuck to a 12 with a metal cage to keep it from walking off. I don't think it would be so bad with a 6 & no cage.

I will look at my dads saw label and then mine. I bought the one with the 12ah and he bought bare tool. I also know that the new saw come with a interchangeable dust shoot that can be hooked up to a dust collector or vacuum.
Heard about this rumor a year ago...

Cop Tool did a nice comparison video between the two saws.

If true...I'm so glad I held off last year from investing in the Ego lineup. Now if they would just come out with a snowblower too...we get so many snowfalls that take too long to shovel, but that don't really warrant breaking out the big gas blower.
I'm after some advice from people who have the 3/8 m12 ratchets - do you use them much?
I got over to home depot (wow!) and had a look at the m12 fuel and regular ratchets. They were both bigger than I expected, the fuel was HUGE! I had planned to buy one, but weighing it in my hand, I'm wondering if I would use the stubby impact instead.
After looking at the 5 head OPE pics again, I think we are all screwed who have the current wacker. it looks like many things attach mid shaft, not on the end. So the next gen might have a connection mid shaft that quick changes to a new head which has a 2' shaft already attached? Swear the current model has no breaks in the shaft at all. Not gonna be happy, really want the pole saw.
Guess I will have to wait for a promo, buy gen 2 wacker get pole saw for free and then sell my gen 1 wacker.
