All of the above.

M18 Multi tool is better for additional power. Hopefully new fuel versions come out for both with tool less change for blades. M12 is ok for small tasks.

M12 cutoff is cool, only used for drywall, which makes a big dust storm if you dont hook to vacuum.

M18 drywall gun is awesome and works pissa with the collator attachment.

Anyone have the following?
M12 multitool
M12 Fuel cutoff tool
M18 drywall gun.

Considering these for work for specialized situations that supplied grinders won't cut it. What are your thoughts on the performance/ergonomics of the above tools

I already have 2 of the Milwaukee AA headlamps so wont buy the USB one, but would take it for free.

Havent used the pivot flashlight or clip pivot light yet, so too early to assess. Unpacked and charged them, played for a few seconds only. First thing I noticed about the clip light is the clip is too easy to move the lever, expected more resistance.

I have the 2114 I thought it the best for me and the most useful. Also very bright.

I do like the pivoting head flashlight but seems steep for its limited use, and do I have the old M12 still.

I have the cut off tool. It works good, but isn't crazy powerful. Its nice for little jobs.

The drywall gun works well, but the trigger is not as good as my dewalt corded gun when it comes to control.

The carabineer type clip on the 2114 is solid in use it normally the clip wouldn't open because any tension is opposite while its hanging.

Dang the worst clip Milwacky has is on the M12 Rover. Cripes that one will pinch down your fingers trying to utilize it. :lol_hitti

Too bad there wasn't some type of spring release to set it wide open first

Well since I am completely addicted to Milwaukee power tools I figured I should introduce myself here.

I am a DIY weekend warrior. Primarily automobile related. I work on my Jeep and a couple friends Jeeps. Suspension, engine, electrical, whatever. I also work on my Challenger **** Pack (mostly maintenance). But around the house I tool around building shelves, putting together furniture the missus buys online (one of her additions). I like woodworking and inherited a bunch of tools from my father (scroll saw, band saw, table saws, etc.). But I find my skills with woodworking leave a lot to be desired.

Getting older and a couple of accidents (one motorcycle, one work related) have left me with a really bad knee (left) and foot (right). Age is catching up to me too (now in the over 50 crowd).

In the past I was big in to hand tools and air tools. But in the last 4 years or so I have realized that cordless power tools make life so much easier. I started collecting the old Milwaukee tools (gen1), but then gen2 rolled around and I started converting over. Then gen3 came out and especially the new stubbies got me all excited, so I sold a bunch of tools on CL and eBay and have been converting most of my stuff to Gen3.

Right now I have:
1/2 M18 Fuel High Torque Impact Wrench (2767) - Don't need it until you need it
3/8 M18 Fuel Mid Torque Impact Wrench (2852) - Gets a lot of use!!
3/8 M12 Fuel Stubby Impact Wrench (2554) - My new go-to...surprising little tool
1/4 M12 Fuel Stubby Impact Wrench (2552) - Impulse buy - don't see much use

3/8 M12 Fuel Impact Ratchet (2557) - Use a good bit
1/4 M12 Fuel Impact Ratchet (2556) - Use occasionally

M18 Compact 1/2 drill driver (2801) - My go to for light drilling duties - got this in a package deal)
M18 1/2 Brushless Hammer Drill (2804) - for metal, concrete and everything except light duty drilling
M18 1/4 Hex Impact Driver (2850) - Just used this little gem to hang new siding on one of my sheds.

M12 Inflator - Awesome to top off car tires and fill tires in the hand dolly and wheelbarrow.
M18 stack light (forgot which one)
First Gen Fastback knife
4 various Milwaukee tape measures.

I also have 2 of the 48-22-8424 Packout tool boxes. I just bought one of these along with some Kaizen foam. I plan to make one of these the case for my impact wrenches and the other a case for my drills and impact driver.

What I still want:
1) The rotary tool - its time to replace my 15 year old corded dremmel
2) The 6 1/2 inch circular saw. My corded dewalt will be my heavy duty saw, but this one will save me from having to drag out the extension cord, etc for just a couple cuts related to a small project. Want something lighter and more portable.
3) Maybe...maybe...the packout roller, large tool box and an organizer or two.
4) Lighting. Still don't know which
5) More fastback knives
6) An M18 Fuel Inflator when they come out with one.

Sorry I did not provide photos yet. Once I get my Kaizen foam project in gear, then I will post some MW ****...

So yeah, I've got it bad. You know how guys that like guns spend as much time cleaning them as shooting them. Well I do that too. But related to Milwaukee tools, after every use they come in the house and a little soap and water or simple green gets them looking close to new again. I cannot stand the look of the black rubber covers over the beauty of the Milwaukee tool.

Maybe I missed a response or thread on topic re: the SuperCharger. What are you thoughts on what is best for the 18650, etc cells in our batteries. Seems it will ~super charge HO batteries*. Wish there was some sort of chart that spelled out whether it outputting 2A, 4A, etc depending on which type of battery was plugged into the new SuperCharger

Cant find anything, but considering it charges a 12.0 in 60 mins what would it have to be outputting, also whats the required input, has to be 12-15a.

Based off this image, HO packs appear to be charged at ~12 amps DC with the exception of the HO CT packs, where they likely limit output to preserve the useful life of the pack. Any non HO pack(with the exception of the HO CT packs) will charge at the same rate as the rapid charger, which is 6 amps DC for M18 packs and 4 amps DC (IIRC) for M12 packs.

Edit: 13.5 amps DC max charge rate per page 22 of this notice.

Well just another kick in the *** here :spit:

Seems the cordless heat gun is NOW being marketed under the Ryboi badge for approx. $30 less retail list, with major similarities in the overall look and the maximum high end heat range with the most obvious build difference configuration having no fold out hanging hook. And I suppose time will tell if they reduce any internal quality to maintain a lower price point

BUT...

it does come with 2 of the accessory tips the heat shrink deflector nozzle and the 3 stepdown reducer nozzle

Which as open stock purchases through Authorized Milwaukee dealers are separate prices of $16.99/$17.99 respectively at CPO or $34.99 for the for piece kit (Best online item prices of $10.50 and $10.60 sourcing thru ZORO with a $1.00 savings on the 4 pc)

I have to go see the backpack vac in person ......

Currently the portable auto-vac for the cherrios/auto car and such is the Yellow Hepa vac. I chose this over the red, since it had AC cord, but I realized I don't ever even use it plugged in. Would not mind MOOOOAR power in a cordless vac - backpak vac in pics look HUGE though. I've never used my Dewalt for ~wet~ apps that I can recall

At work there's the original M18 string trimmer, and the 56? Volt echo sitting side by side. Threw the batteries in both to compare how they sounded side by side.. I was like damn, the Milwaukee even spins faster than the Echo. Until I realized the Echo was on low speed. Lol

To be fair - that was with the 9.0 in the M18, but even if it had a 12.0 - I think the echo wins the string trimmer battle.

At home - my gas echo trimmer may never be started again.

I just looked - the CFM rating is identical. I woulda been real mad if they upgraded it, and then sold it under the lower tier platform. The included tips are Milwaukee’s, cause i bought the 4 pack accessory from them for the m18 version.

As far as accessory tips go - i think - THINK - you can buy tips from anywhere. The corded and cordless Milwaukee’s take the same tips, so any that fit the corded will fit the cordless. Some aftermarket will have a slit in the end to allow some slight adjustment for fitment..

Here’s a 4 pice kit for like $5 - no idea if the quality is the same, or if that even really matters. For the record i dunno if these actually fit or not.. I’d have to measure mine and compare.

I was looking at the backpack sprayer ....this might be my 1st LIME tool instead ?

https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI-O...PIPHorizontal2_rr-_-206339956-_-303365816-_-N

Well after considering this review from that link

Personally I'm going for the Milwaukee one...

"There is a potential design flaw in that the connector for the wand to hose sits over the battery, when the wand is in the handle, and any leakage will get into the electrical system, the user needs to make sure that there are no leaks and to keep the electrical system dry. The tank detaches from the power unit easily and is very easy to clean when switching from one chemical to another. The suction tube for the tank incorporates a fine mesh filter that will clog quickly if the chemical has any residual particles – best to use with only liquid chemicals, not with dissolved granular chemicals. If using dissolved chemicals, they should be filtered before adding to the tank. The unit will spray at least 4 tanks worth of chemicals before the battery needs to be charged. This is an excellent tool for the homeowner that needs more than an off the shelf (one gallon or less) premixed chemical and hand sprayer combination.
This sprayer was supplied with a Ryobi P190 2Ah battery and charger. The battery failed the first time it was used, this appears to be a systematic problem with this particular battery as I had a similar experience with another P190. The P190 battery does not have a charge indicator, which is a distinct disadvantage for a tool such as this sprayer. I would recommend that the user use the Ryobi P107 or P108 batteries, which I have found to give excellent service.
I would have rated this system a 5.0 except for the battery issue and the potential to have the hose and wand leak into the electronics"

I have the new Quik Lok trimmer, AND the echo 56v. The Milwaukee is a winner. My echo goes up for sale. I am amazed how long the 18v 9amp lasts, and how much power it has. I will NEVER use a gas blower, trimmer again.

The upkeep on the outside (and let's be honest, the inside too) of my house has suffered from the crazy hours I had to work at the job I recently left. I had leaves outside from last fall still not cleaned, and that we're all mashed together from all the rain and walking over them for the last few months. I didn't even want to clean them up the other day, cause I was focusing on the grass, but I hit them with the M18 blower and sure enough it lifted them all up. Before I knew it I had a pile that filled 3 contractor garbage bags.

The M18 stuff might not be the "most powerful" out there - but it's more than enough to do what you need to. It's crazy to think what wasnt possible just a couple years ago. Can you even imagine an old 18v nicad DeWalt battery powering tools like these? Absolutely not..

And the ONLY reason I'm up this early on a Saturday, is cause SOMEHOW, my father telling my sister that "he'll " hang some wallpaper for her - really means "I" have to hang wallpaper while 2 people are gonna sit in a chair staring at me.

I have spent a **** ton of money on Red tools in the last year replacing all the yellow stuff I had, in addition to buying a bunch of Red stuff that Yellow didn't have.

I have a bunch of M12 AND M18 stuff.

At 60 yoa, I find myself back in a full time job turning wrenches. I'm a marine tech and work mostly on outboard powered boats. I'm 3 weeks into a new job where I'm banging out service work, 3-4 boats a day, 9 hours a day. My go to tool is a an M12 1/4" impact driver and I use it all day long. 3 weeks on one 4.0 battery and it's still going.

I'm so impressed.

My kids bought me a 3/8" drive M12 ratchet for Christmas and I can't find it but as soon as I do, I'm going to put it to work.

For my latest addition I bought the M18 jobsite fan. Basically because it was on sale and I had an extra battery I rarely used. Nice. Been using it on the workbench for about a month. It works OK. Price seemed a bit high for just a little fan.
Had to go out in the sun and work under the dash of an immobile black SUV. Last thought before I went out was to grab the fan and take with. Set it in the seat blowing right in my face the whole time. Oh baby, where have YOU been all my life?
The price no longer seems like it was really that high after all. :) Naked fan with 110V adapter at Home Depot, $79.

Would there be any interest in a string trimmer power head that's bare? Considering picking up another split shaft kit for the attachments and selling the power head and battery off.

Gaging if it's worth it on my end to go that route or just buy attachments

You would be better off buying the Pole Saw kit for $399 that comes with a bonus attachment. While it is $70 more, it comes with the extension that is out of stock most everywhere & shoulder strap. Most everyone will already have a trimmer head if they needed one unfortunately. I might have bought that kit (pole saw) had I known I could buy just the trimmer head from someone, but as Milwaukee doesn't sell it by-itself, and the BOGO deal going on, it would have been too much hassle.

I lucked out and grabbed the extension when it was in stock at HD.
