Well since I am completely addicted to Milwaukee power tools I figured I should introduce myself here.
I am a DIY weekend warrior. Primarily automobile related. I work on my Jeep and a couple friends Jeeps. Suspension, engine, electrical, whatever. I also work on my Challenger **** Pack (mostly maintenance). But around the house I tool around building shelves, putting together furniture the missus buys online (one of her additions). I like woodworking and inherited a bunch of tools from my father (scroll saw, band saw, table saws, etc.). But I find my skills with woodworking leave a lot to be desired.
Getting older and a couple of accidents (one motorcycle, one work related) have left me with a really bad knee (left) and foot (right). Age is catching up to me too (now in the over 50 crowd).
In the past I was big in to hand tools and air tools. But in the last 4 years or so I have realized that cordless power tools make life so much easier. I started collecting the old Milwaukee tools (gen1), but then gen2 rolled around and I started converting over. Then gen3 came out and especially the new stubbies got me all excited, so I sold a bunch of tools on CL and eBay and have been converting most of my stuff to Gen3.
Right now I have:
1/2 M18 Fuel High Torque Impact Wrench (2767) - Don't need it until you need it
3/8 M18 Fuel Mid Torque Impact Wrench (2852) - Gets a lot of use!!
3/8 M12 Fuel Stubby Impact Wrench (2554) - My new go-to...surprising little tool
1/4 M12 Fuel Stubby Impact Wrench (2552) - Impulse buy - don't see much use
3/8 M12 Fuel Impact Ratchet (2557) - Use a good bit
1/4 M12 Fuel Impact Ratchet (2556) - Use occasionally
M18 Compact 1/2 drill driver (2801) - My go to for light drilling duties - got this in a package deal)
M18 1/2 Brushless Hammer Drill (2804) - for metal, concrete and everything except light duty drilling
M18 1/4 Hex Impact Driver (2850) - Just used this little gem to hang new siding on one of my sheds.
M12 Inflator - Awesome to top off car tires and fill tires in the hand dolly and wheelbarrow.
M18 stack light (forgot which one)
First Gen Fastback knife
4 various Milwaukee tape measures.
I also have 2 of the 48-22-8424 Packout tool boxes. I just bought one of these along with some Kaizen foam. I plan to make one of these the case for my impact wrenches and the other a case for my drills and impact driver.
What I still want:
1) The rotary tool - its time to replace my 15 year old corded dremmel
2) The 6 1/2 inch circular saw. My corded dewalt will be my heavy duty saw, but this one will save me from having to drag out the extension cord, etc for just a couple cuts related to a small project. Want something lighter and more portable.
3) Maybe...maybe...the packout roller, large tool box and an organizer or two.
4) Lighting. Still don't know which
5) More fastback knives
6) An M18 Fuel Inflator when they come out with one.
Sorry I did not provide photos yet. Once I get my Kaizen foam project in gear, then I will post some MW ****...
So yeah, I've got it bad. You know how guys that like guns spend as much time cleaning them as shooting them. Well I do that too. But related to Milwaukee tools, after every use they come in the house and a little soap and water or simple green gets them looking close to new again. I cannot stand the look of the black rubber covers over the beauty of the Milwaukee tool.
