That was my thought process, the only thing that really cost me was the charger, but I wanted the three bay combo charger. Regardless of cost, the snap on ratchets are much nicer overall and I am very glad I spent the extra money. I just bought their polisher and it is much better too. Milwaukee will always have the edge in the variety of tools they offer, so I will still buy from them.

Anyone have any issues breaking the nose pieces of the M12 rivet gun? I've shot about 100 3/16" rivets through it and it's split along the nut. I didn't even notice until I was going to take it out. It kept working normally.

Yeah I just tried to order thru Max Tool also, but there's simply no field for the coupon. I think I'll just go Acme and pay the shipping. Still less than HD where I was just about to pull the trigger for the 2132 light

No, just aluminum. At least replacements are cheap. But I’m still disappointed for what this thing costs, especially when it won’t even pull 1/4” rivets.

Order the M18 vac....after post NPS, no wet/dry vac. Sight unseen per-se. This thing is huGe compared to the dewalt yellow it's replacing. I went with dewalt over the smaller M18 vac, was due to the AC cord, but I've never used the AC cord aspect. Rare, but I have used it for wet rated stuff as well..
You'll love it, not the most powerful but very handy and pretty quiet for what it is.

I think they will be inline with the cost of other higher end models from brands like Bolle-safety or Uvex(now part of Honeywell) ...To be very honest with you my quick take is that some of the models look to be rebadged from these larger companies ...Much like the Dust Mask

Yea - well i figured from the get-go milwaukee (TTI) didnt get into the eyewear MANUFACTURING business. I’m fairly certain they found someone that already does it, and just threw em a design of what they wanted.. just seems to make more sense.
I was already searching online for brands that offer a fog free lens with removable gasket. I cant find anything (i didnt spend hours) that looks like a direct copy with just a logo added. I’d bet someone has a similar style gasket, that either attaches the same, or very similar - and thats prob who they went to.

Hopefully I just bought a set to have as backup for the summer.
My guess is the impact ones are a response to the push for ANSI/ISEA 138 gloves

I used mine while installing some ceiling fans and light switches last week. There is plenty of brightness and a god beam pattern. I ran it for several hours on the 6.0 battery without having to charge it. I’m satisfied overall and much prefer the smaller size compared to the M18 versions.
Look on google and youtube. Plenty of reviews. Most of them are really good. I have 2 of these on order. I've been eyeballing them for a while now, but the free $99 battery put me over the top. Anyway, I see a couple best use cases for my situation...
DIY (Garage)
1) Detailing cars (paint correction, etc.). The lighting in my garage includes a stinkton of LED lights, but still I struggle to see when I'm detailing with the door closed and the AC units running.
2) Exterior work interior or exterior on vehicles and dusk or after.... Shine it at the engine bay or open the car door and point it inside
DIY or professional (construction)
Installing electrical panel, installing drywall, installing tile, etc.etc. The light goes from something like 28" to 68" and it swivels 260 degrees so its pretty versatile....
Outdoor work of any kind when light is needed.
Other Use:
Power outages. Guessing this thing will run 10 or more hours on high with a 6ah battery. If not it certainly will on a lower setting. I actually have 2 m18 lantern lights, one of which was a "gimme" on promotion, the other I purchased. I have a couple of m18 HO 9ah batteries so between those and a couple of these tower lights one would be good for at least a couple of evenings.
Lighting up your yard at night for a party, kids playing, etc.
Everyone's use case is different. Obviously, this lights not so goo for under the vehicle, or in the attic...but moreso for lighting bigger areas with portability.

Order from Maxtool also. What I noticed is if you don't pick the free gift the box shows up for the promo. Also if you do pick the free gift, but you hit check out with paypal(vs checkout) you will also get the box. But the price will be the regular price of the items in the cart(279 in this case)
So I couldn't see a way to get it, appears they are trying to keep you from stacking a coupon, on top of the deal. I got a free battery and tape measure.

Thought I had missed out on the M12 Fuel hackzall & multi tool kit from HD, but looks like they came back in stock today. It comes with the brushless hackzall, 4.0 battery, charger, bag, and multi tool for $179... No complaints here! Hopefully I get it before the weekend so I can run my new receptacles in the garage.

I posted this in another thread. Can anyone confirm or deny when Milwaukee warranties a battery, is it new, refurbished, or luck of the draw ?
I called customer service after having receiving my battery replacement. She was adament it was ~brand new~ as batteries cannot be repaired
The Battery I received was made in the 4th week of 2017
It's current charge state when I received it was at 1 bar......(aka, depending on how you perceive best storage practice and SOC of batteries)

Did you get a receipt with it? Does it work fine? If you answered yes to both then you have nothing to worry about.
The age doesn’t matter imo. It either works or it doesn’t. If it doesn’t you have a 3 year warranty.
“Date code of tool will be used to determine if product is within warranty period
Copy of invoice or bill of sale will be required for warranty verification if date code is over warranty period
Warranty Registration is not necessary to obtain the applicable warranty on a Milwaukee Tool® product”

I'm going to have to check to see what the warranty is on the backpack vac. The wand that comes with it....the style of retraction. I've had that on our current - last 3 Miele vacumums...we're talking $1300+ home vacs. They use a similar lock/release on the wands and sooner vs. later, the locking extension binds up. On all of our Miele's, I just leave them fully extended and never touch them again (as I know it will bind up and the last thing I want is to be bind up in the short position) and well, you know, german parts ain't cheap.
