That M18 fuel impact kit for $199 is a pretty awesome deal if I can read the part number correctly.

It doesn’t appear that they sell online for us non locals.

I'll toss this question over here too as I didn't get any response when I first posted over in deals section while there was a "good deal" going on at CPO yesterday

So has anybody handled the M12 FUEL extended reach 1/4" drive ratchet and could say if it is a similar comparison with the 2560 3/8" in the same respects as the standard 1/4" FUEL ratchet is to the 2557 3/8 FUEL ?

Got a chance to try out my new M12 SDS FUEL drill last night using a Milwaukee MX4 bit

Went thru the poured concrete wall like a hot knife thru butter.

Honestly I'll never use a regular cordless hammer drill again

Anybody ever use the jawed drill chuck adapter they sell for these things?

What's everyone's favorite non-traditional m18 tool? Meaning other than drill, impact, etc.

Appreciate the advice on cordless screwdrivers. Got the 2402-22 kit with two 2.0 ah batteries, and the charger. Very powerful driver but manageable on low clutch settings for delicate work or flat-packed furniture, I leave it a little loose and finish off with a screwdriver. The huge amount of torque makes it easy to strip screws.

Used it to drive some #8 and #10 wood screws into scrap lumber and it did ok on the low-speed high torque setting. Fills in above my wrist powered screwdriver and below the surge so I expect to be using it a lot. I can see how the lower power brushed models with the mechanical clutch have some advantages.

Considered 2402 vs 2406 vs 2401 vs Bosch. Bosch is great but I have the Milwaukee multi-vote charger and have heard Milwaukee batteries last longer and the warranty is better. We have a Milwaukee service center about 20 minutes form here too.

2402 gave me the brushless Hex 2-Speed Screwdriver and (2) 2.0h Batteries and electronic clutch (I'd prefer a mechanical clutch)

2406 may have been the better choice but I wanted brushless and 2.0 ah batteries

2401 is a good driver too but I wanted a few more feature, there are great deals on these

Already have M18 tools and batteries or I would have looked at getting a bare tool and one of the deals Big orange has a deal on M12 batteries. (2) 2.0 Ah and (2) 4.0 Ah Batteries (4-Pack) Model# 48-11-2442P and the (2) XC 3.0 Ah pack.

The non-traditional tool is the M18 light series especially the M18 flashlight. A mediocre single setting flashlight with no features is my go-to because it uses M18 batteries and survived being dropped off a ladder

Grew up with the corded Milwaukee drills, impacts, concrete tools, etc and didn't expect Milwaukee to have some of the best work lights.

I find myself using the heck out of the M18 wet/dry vacuum. Its pretty useful for any small to medium job. Particularly good for vehicle interiors, I think.

I have a M12 spotlight that I use quite a bit too, mostly to look around the property at night with.

I know there are generic batteries but I didn't know there were knock offs. I'm pretty sure I got a fake one. The one on the right I believe is fake. One on the left was brand new in original packaging.

Bottom section is reversed. Look at the "M12, RED, & 6.0" on the label. No security torx, just regular torx & no date code. Older batteries have a stamped date code. Newer batteries have the date code in the s/n. If I go by that format than this battery would be 2012 week 85.

Got it from ebay seller chuwu9217. Chinese seller with a US shipping address. I suspected that but took a chance anyway. Sold as new in unopened packaging but it didn't come in any packaging. Ebay gave me a full refund in my favor, the seller wouldn't send me a return label, kept telling to pay for return shipping. Just posting a buyer beware.

I still have the fake one. If I end up not having to send it back I'll open it up to look inside.

looks fake to me. just the registration errors in the printing give it away as a 3rd shift/side door battery at best

I've mentioned before that there is HUGE profit in m12 batteries because they sell at about the same $/Ah as m18 but have 3 cells vs. 5. definitely worth looking at generic batteries if you can find decent ones

Hi again - I posted several pages back about how an electrician left his drill and impact driver at my house. When he called to see if they were here, I asked if I could use them on some wood projects I had during the afternoon it would take for him to come back, and he said yes. Now, nothing heavy duty, but just finishing up some projects I found them to be very solid. I can’t recall what model/variant they were.

Fast forward to now and I ended up getting the 2999-22 set for myself for Christmas. I spent last week finishing up my office desk, and today installing new shelving in my wife’s closet. Again, not heavy duty, but these feel much more solid than my DeWalts (20V Max), which I still have and will continue to use. Those DeWalts are getting near 20 years old and have been very reliable, but the batteries are keeping less and less of a charge, and I think they’ll be fine for some lawn equipment that sees lighter use.

I’m looking forward to getting the cordless circular saw and cordless angle grinder in due time. Thanks for all the knowledge here!

For me Milwaukee gives xtra batteries so much with ALL types of various purchases I can't even imagine looking to buy them on the aftermarket. There is only one battery purchase I have ever really considered and that's been this year only too, on the BLAINS offer of a free 2767 High Torque bare tool with either two 5ah @$179 or 2 6.0HO @ $199

I have no issues with those selling generic chargers & batteries listed as replacements. It's dickwads who sell fake copies trying to pass them off as genuine products for the same market prices as originalstbat pisses me off.

I've been pretty good at looking at all the clues for fake **** & this is the first time I've got a fake for something. The seller I got that battery from listed it as genuine Milwaukee & p/n in new original unopened packaging. I had a funny feeling but took a chance anyway knowing I'd be covered by ebay. I already got my money back so if that seller asks me to return it again well f off, I'm keeping the damn thing.

Looking at that seller, looks like he sold a bunch of them after my purchase. And I haven't seen any negative feedback about them either. ***** that it looks like so many people have got tricked buying those fake batteries.

Europe uses those round posts... these aint them.

Interesting so obviously it must intended for those batteries along with 18V

FWIW also sometimes I have seen certain images used for sale purposes from some Amazon sellers that aren't necessarily correct...so who knows what it really is

Edit: following the link Pines provided for the European market 14.4 tool I looked up the charger part# for that. then did a BING one click lookup the search result brought me right back around to Amazon (different seller) and this to this similar charger...

Note how it specifies a standard US plug

So guessing the bottom line is these are copies of Milwaukee Li Ion chargers (multi port or otherwise) originally designed for an overseas market but being adapted to US after market sales.

My old Makita charger easily handles a full complement of that brands batteries from 9v 12v 14.4 and 18 with just one port. All the batteries having the same post and terminal pin configuration

I'm in the tech industry and have some experience with batteries, and I'd just say third-party are a ****-shoot for both performance and safety. If the price of the battery platform bugs you, just buy the HF stuff to begin with. Same with chargers.

That battery on the right does look a bit suspect with the lettering being off. I would point out though that the lack of security screws aren't necessarily a sign of a knock off battery. Also, I have a couple of M12 XC3.0 batteries here that have a march 29th, 2019 date code etched/stamped in the top of the red plastic stem, not on the label.

These batteries came straight from Milwaukee.

I got mine at acme cybermonday. it was $89 with a 3.0 battery AND the rapid charger. I had to do it.
F the reviews. Most of those guys are trying to vacuum up dead ****** remains or some $hit. I will use it for little quick jobs as it is intended.

Yours actually says an exact date? I was under the impression tbat the date code signified year & what # week of the year. Yep I have some M12 & M18 batteries with the stamped date codes. This battery doesn't have it at all.

I'm positive the battery is a fake now. Yesterday the seller offered to send me a refund for half the purchase price. They have also sold a suspiciously high amount of them too. Shipping takes for ever to show any movement once shipped but then magically is handed off to USPS from DHL. That seems to me that it's actually coming in from China.

But whatever, I already got my money back & a new real battery so all is well.
