APG12 - that is my one complaint with the die grinder. I loosen it with the wrenches, spin it loose with my hand till it feels like its fully loose. But i need to use the wrench again and loosen it fully before the bit comes out.
When im using my burrs, I like to seat them all the way. Maybe ill try not to bottom it out fully and see if it helps.

Tried that. Even put a 11/16 socket on the nut. Put a nut on the shank and hit it with a hammer/screwdriver. Tried heat. Nothing. I’m sending it in to Milwaukee. I can’t imagine what the problem is but I’m getting frustrated and I’m going to end up destroying it.

Have you contacted Milwaukee yet?

) Anyone else hear about Milwaukee bringing more tool manufacturing back to the USA?

Not sure i like it extending the shaft.
I was actually wondering if that would make the cutting more aggressive.
I've been using the 2402-22 1/4 hex screwdriver and it's very handy. On the low clutch setting it can handle delicate work and also used it on a higher clutch setting to assemble a flat packed wood planter box. I still like to do final tightening with a screwdriver to avoid stripping.

I need a compact right angle drill and I'm on the M18 system; so far, all fuel models.
The obvious answer is the 2615, but it's not fuel. Is this a case where I bide my time and wait for a fuel version of the M18 right angle drill? Is Milwaukee intending to roll out nearly everything that's M18 in a fuel version eventually, do you think?

People have been using brushed tools for decades. Outside of the heavy hitting tools which are DESIGNED to be bigger, better, stronger from the ground up - simply being “brushless” isnt the magical key thats making them as good as they are. Its just a different tech that happens to be a little more efficient. If you “need” it - i wouldnt hold your breath. You might be waiting a long time. I dont see that tool being a huge seller that would make them want to upgrade. That said - its been out for a while now - so ya never know.. i wouldnt wait just to get something that says “fuel” on it. Buy it, use it, move on.
while all my cordless for the most part is fuel......BRUSHLESS IMO is more reliable versus the circuit board that may/may not got out in the brushless.....
Not in the Milwaukee lineup sofar....but I have seen what happens when the board goes bad...

I have the 2615. Other than the m12 vacuum, it's the biggest p.o.s. that says Milwaukee on the side I have ever purchased. It is absolutely gutless. I have heard other people say the same thing, so I don't think it's just my drill.

Board failures I have seen make the brusheless tools inop....as the board goes bad. So mechanically, everything from power source (batteries, switches, etc) may be fine on the drill, but if the board goes bad, said brushless tool ain't going to work for -sch1t-.
Sure, brushes wear down. But the boards, they fail when they fail.....
i think you misspoke in your previous post where you say,
"brushless imo is more reliable versus the circuit board that may/may not got out in the brushless....."
i assume you meant to type "brushed" as your first word.

Hung my new Husky cabinets in the garage today. To fit my 8' LED lights underneath, I had to space them 6 or 7inches apart to make the 3 cabinets span 8 feet. While making filler panels to hide the gap, an idea struck me:

Ive have NOT heard this about the m18 model.. if heard this about the m12 model - which I own.. maybe he’s got the models confused, or someone else that has the m18 can confirm. I was just watching a guy on YouTube drilling 1/2 holes with the thing no problem..
I mean, its not a hole hawg, or an impact (which they do make).. its a 3/8” drill.
Pretty sure the non fuel drills have circuit boards in them too, or is that not the case? I was under the impression the overload protection / battery communication is “communicating” with something, even on the brushed models....
Yea - here’s the electronics replacement package for one of Milwaukee’s brushed drills. I dunno what it does - but there’s still a small board in there. I’m sure is not as complicated as the brushless stuff, but your not avoiding electronics - not these days.
