I haven't used mine yet, it came last week. Anyone else think its not super comfortable in hand because with the throttle safety lever its too thick?

It's definitely fatter than my old pneumatic die grinder, but I've got fairly large hands so it feels just fine now that i'm used to it.

Totally agree... feels fine in my big hands. I have pneumatic die grinders with exactly the same style of safety lock... it’s not a problem for me... this has become such a useful tool for me that I bought a second one!

I can’t complain about the thickness of the fire grinder. I also have fairly large hands and they don’t crank up holding the Milwaukee like they do when I using my pneumatic die grinder for extended periods.

I am looking to buy a palm orbital sander for car bumper and future body sanding. Before I buy a corded Bosch or something else, is there anything in the M12 Fuel line-up that I can use?
I only see the Polisher/Sander, but I'm not sure if that's suitable for me. With palm sander, I can hold the bumper cover from one side and sand away, but with the M12 it looks like both hands are needed for the tool.

I should add that I have the OMT already. Should I just use that to sand a bumper for repaint (400 grit)?

Does anyone have experience with the 16 gauge M18 nailers? Would you get angled or straight?

Aren't the finish nailers still on Gen 1 ? Don't think a Gen 2 has come out on that but reviewsise, I went Dewalt on that as the Reviews on the Gen 1 Finish wasn't that great.

I got their Brad and Framers. Works well. For consistency, I still prefer Hitachi on the brad and Paslod on the Framer. Cordless, well is a whole lot more convenient.

I need a cordless sander from Milwaukee.. But the current best one gets beat by the dewalt big time based on most reviews on web..

And also the dewalt beats Milwaukee on cordless oscillating tools too.... What gives.. Even ryobi is beating the Milwaukee on this too. ... Sad

I am fully invested in Milwaukee in 12v, 18v, auto stuff and OPE stuff.. But some tools Milwaukee is getting beat bad.

Idk about oscillating tools but regarding the sander, I felt the same way. I went with dewalt in the end bc I found it for 80 bucks. I rarely use it but I like it a lot.
Each tool company has there pros and cons. As annoying as it is to be invested in more than one batt platform, being able to choose a better tool is nice.
To be fair, no one comes close to Milwaukee for automotive. Both in quality and quantity of tools.

Bought the M12 Jig Saw, tool only today. Have to cut a few RaceDeck tiles, figured why not. :pimpflasha749fd4ff5accbd3cf26583179165cfd.jpg

I got one too and even used it today. It does seem to lack so power and the blade doesn’t like to track super straight unless I’m cutting some thin easy to cut material. Plus the front is bulky as all can be. But it does get the job done and I will cut just about anything if you let the tool do the work and go easy. It’s not like my old corded Bosch. But it does beat having to deal with the cord

Which Dewalt did you choose? And are you using is for autobody or household/woodworking sanding?

Has anyone used this light yet? I see a bunch of guys with them on Instagram but I assume they got theirs free from Milwaukee.

HomeDepot will undoubtedly take months to get it so I'll have to order it. Usually ToolNut has new tools first but their site says "available in 15-18 days" but I just noticed AcmeTools site says it will be available January 3rd.

I was hoping to wait for Depot to get it because I have some gift cards, but I could really use it for work and can't wait for them forever.

I got this Model #2367 “ M12 ROVER 12-Volt Lithium-Ion Service and Repair 700 Lumens Flood Light with USB Charging”
A couple months ago. By far my most used light now. It’s fantastic for working in the engine bay on my 914-6 and 911s.
Seems out of stock again.

The M12 polisher/sander is pure rotary. Fine for stripping paint off metal, but not what you want for finish sanding anything, let alone a bumper cover. I can't imagine an OMT would be an appropriate tool either. A DA sander is what you want/need.

Picked up the installation driver yesterday. Sold the free tool and batteries and charger so I ended up paying $65 for it. Did a custom Packout for it.

FireFighter, I had the exact same idea for using a smaller packout to house the driver. The driver paired with a Milwaukee 15" Packout Tote, makes a great grab-and-go toolkit for general around-the-house type work.

Picked up anthother m18 bandsaw, milwaukee has nailed this, unfortunately you need both milwaukee & dewalt they each have some tools that are better than the other. Love the Milwaukee lights, ratchets, impacts, love the dewalt flexvolt blower twice the power of the m18, dewalt chain saw is awesome. The drills are kinda split, hands down the m18 bandsaw, bought a dw returned it the same day. You just have to have both, the m12 multitool is great for tight spots w/2amp battery, the dw 20v mt is super smooth & powerful.

I definitely have a similar opinion, although my so called large battery 1/4”, 3/8”, and 1/2” impacts and cordless drill are Dewalt because that’s what I was invested in early on and also what my wife and dad bought me, I think for size and power, especially doing engine bay work and general auto work, the M12 lineup can’t be beat. The slim, in handle batteries are so compact compared to the Dewalt 12v offerings. And I’m glad you mentioned the bandsaws cause I’ve been meaning pick one up and was kinda stuck between Dewalt since I already have their 20v batteries and buying the Milwaukee and having another charger needed. Although, what’s your opinion on the corded bandsaws? I mainly plan on using it in a SWAG Off-road portaband table setup.

I would agree. I was kinda on the fence about the installation driver. Used my dads for a small project and I really liked it. It was very smooth power. So I bought one. Of course sent him a picture of the Packout and was commissioned to build him one as well :)

I used mine a lot more than I expected... ran new cable to replace the cat 5e... ****** builder 7 years old. Ran cat 8.... fluke from work. Rated for 40 gig field ends sucked at like 15$ each. Did use the rotozip milwaukee for cutting the dry wall...e18d6cdb6c27eb03053dc754d75728f6.jpg4dc7df4006ed342c8f3273df61db30e3.jpgf79ef3204a70a343ce0ff7663a368538.jpgf981a62d17563603ca56669d0fa5102e.jpgaca88c87b0305645c3d17aabe3ec0fff.jpg3dbbc0963d646b35d1ed5c6a6e28061f.jpg37ec7a6c8b105f063a8338ac200b608c.jpgef856de53d31807dd41737123e45f79a.jpg2c76ce2028060b037b7c8268a8aa1402.jpg713959a674b1c4a8f4983bdc5b2493b0.jpg89918218305fef4fed1720ad9691ccb9.jpg

Looking at SDS rotary hammers for some bathroom remodels were doing (Im planning on just the tile demo, GC to do the reno). Are there any differences, besides size, with the 2712 and the 2713? Im thinking the 2712 would be better for some tough to get to spaces vs the 2713.

Other option is just grabbing the Ryobi P222 for half the price since it will just be used on 2 bathrooms

Curious about the differences you saw in the bandsaws.

To start the m18 bandsaw has a much better balance, feels good in hand, the dw was awkward. I also didn’t like that the dw was a single speed, m18 vs and that alone to me was a deal breaker. The m18 has adjustable tracking with a well placed light plus the battery is better located. Power wise there about the same, but every other aspect was just better in the m18, and I’m pretty split between Milwaukee and dw, it’s just a better bs. Almost seems like dw just made one to have one, they really didn’t try hard to make it as good or better.

My only gripe with the M18 Bandsaw on the SWAG table is that you need to fiddle with the trigger to start the saw, then strap the trigger to stay on... where with a corded bandsaw, you can strap the trigger open then use the mains to start/stop the saw.

Maybe we're not talking about the same model. The dewalt is definitely a variable speed. This is the one I'm looking at:

My bad, I was comparing the dewalt
https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-20-Volt-MAX-Cordless-Band-Saw-Tool-Only-DCS371B/204841376
to the milwaukee
https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauk...s-Compact-Bandsaw-Tool-Only-2829-20/311537759

They are both in stock & close in price, the DCS374b looks like a closer match to the milwaukee but more $$$ & not in stock local.

I have the 2712 and it’s a beast. Definitely 8ah and up for any chipping work. But is a great drill and much more compact then the 2713 for sure. Buy once and never buy again is what I say.

I was in Rural King today getting hydraulic fluid for our backhoe. Tool department was doing a FULL reset and removing most everything. When I got to checkout there were 3 buggies full of Milw and DW floor samples marked 50% off. Had to buy the Fuel bandsaw for $165. Already had most of the other tools.

That's a great price, I just picked up another one at HD for 279$ plus tax.

I’d definitely use the corded one for it. It’d be semi permanent on my work bench so no point in going cordless for that one.

You must have got it at the right time. I have asked to purchase displays they were done with and have been told no multiple times.

At my Rural King on the power tool isles there is a worker that watches your every move. Said company wide they had 9 million in stolen tools last year. So I am glad you can at least get a deal at your location.

Finally pulled the trigger on the Backpack vacuum also. 2 pack was cheaper plus I had a 10% off coupon so I am pretty excited about it. I made a table for my chop saw stand and plan on using it as a dust collector for it.

Interested in feedback on the Backpack Vacuum??? I have been tossing up on it for a while... it just feels a little heavy to me. How does it feel in real use... worn on the back? Hand carried?

How’s the suction? Is the filter clogging quickly?
