I really like my MAC, it’s one of the few reasons I’m in the DeWalt platform - if this M18 Fuel is as good as my MCM848 it’s one less reason to have MAC/DeWalt batteries and chargers.

Wow, mower available to order on HD.com, shocked they made the 4/1 ETA, interesting there's only 85 available, wonder if there is inventory actually on the way for in store. No one else has it available or even pre-order open.

So do I just throw my money at it now or wait for a sale?
Always wait, Milwaukee is like Kohls you never buy anything without coupon or on sale. Even if the deal was free wacker since you got it already just sell it on the side, hopefully there will be extra 12s deal.

I have two HD 10% coupons and not enough for me to be the first guinea pig to make ya'll jealous.

Ya, that is what I usually do and my gas mower is still alive/getting no use anyways. I don't want to get rid of my gas mower because it is gas but I think it only has 1 or 2 oil changes left in it and I'm not gonna rebuilt it. I bought it for 40 bucks and got a replacement carb for 20. Runs well enough but I can tell it ain't gonna last another 2 seasons. I figure getting a new gas mower would be fine but then I could get 2x 12AH batteries with the mower kit. I'll just wait for some kind of deal on it.

LOL now there's only 67 available, I don't think in stock notices went out, maybe I should get a commission if my post generated sales.....

I'm in dire need of a mower so I just put my order in. Can't wait for a sale. Hope it actually arrives as they promoted on the website.

Ship to home or store? I find the ship to home more reliable about date. If you shipped to store sometimes it arrives and you dont get a notice. Please put it to good use as soon as you get it and post review.

Ship to home. I agree, also I'm not sure how big the box is so I don't want to have to deal with loading it up from the store to my car to home.

Harder to resist getting a first mower is not ordering the only M18 shop vac avail so far, also many new accessories are available on HD including the powered M12 attachment.

Yeah the box is going to be huge would need a decent SUV or truck else you would be taking the pieces out, my smaller Makita mower came in a box slightly bigger than what the M18 big miter saw comes in by comparison.

Mower sold out lol, I expect to see 85+ opinions here next week. I wonder how many will be on ebay for a profit, problem with that is non-major shipping acct cost is outrageous. Curious how many they are estimating to sell this year 3-5000? 85 is peanuts considering any BM HD right now prolly has more that 85 mowers in stock.

Clearly there are addicts on the internet that don't know about this thread.

My friend just got his first set of M18 purchases and a bigass 53" Icon toolbox from HF. I plan to have him fill that thing up with team red over the next few years. He has to be careful, his wife really watches the credit card bills carefully.

I’ll preface this by saying I know nothing about sockets and why some are impact rated and others not, I believe it's due to how their made and what resists the forces of impact wrenches/drivers and which are more prone to stress fracture?

My M12 impact (2554) has a friction ring on the anvil(?) of the 3/8", and I am finding that my Ko-Ken Z- sockets are tough to put on and remove. The ring gets in the way.

Is this normal? Wrong sockets for impact is my guess.

I think I need to be using https://kokenusa.com/ko-ken-13012m-52-6-3-8-sq-drive-inhex-sockets/ instead of https://kokenusa.com/ko-ken-z-series-3010mz-50-8-3-8-square-drive-inhex-bit-socket-50mm/

Yep.

The inside of your current (bottom link) bits may have a scalloped out area designed for ball detents on ratchets and extensions to fall into.

These will catch the hog rings on impacts and make them fiddly to deal with sometimes.

It's gonna be a turd.

V2 will be out in August...

😁
LOL, V2 will be a convertible system that changes from mower to leaf vac to snow blower to golf bag cart, screwing early adopters just like the wacker.

Whats the chance we get new wacker system attachments this year? Milwaukee has ADHD, can never focus on anything for more than 1 year.

I need a push mower this year to use in places where my big zero turn won't fit and will probably end up scrounging up a gasser, definitely going to wait for V2.0 of the Milwaukee.

Who has the Milwaukee Fuel hedge trimmer (tool only) at the best price? Doesn't matter 18" or 24"
Wait and see if there's any OPE promos coming in April. If you have the wacker you can get the articulating hedge death cutter, but it aint much cheaper.

400+ more mowers back in stock at HD. I can not understand why the popular online players still don't have it available to order and never had pre-order. Perhaps there's a new agreement that gives HD preference? I can not remember anything ever that HD was the first to offer it for sale.

Not just for tools, but a lot of companies are instituting new or stricter MAP policies, MAP issues was suspected to be why CPO had to drop Milwaukee. A buddy who runs a retailer (non-tool) said every company in his segment is going to MAP or making crazy rules which is going to kill off so many online retailers. He got a legal notice from one company he was violating MAP because free shipping was offered. I think Milwaukee is looking to get more control over distribution, sales, & pricing.

I can foresee how MAP may consolidate online retail into many giants with a few small indys, like how B&M transformed over the years. In my new focus away from tools, I see many companies now pushing direct to consumer sales cutting out the middle men and retailers.

This is a real thing and it can be problematic. I understand pricing restrictions but if a company is going to burn you as a retailer for offering free shipping, that is just dumb. In this day and age free shipping isn't a market differentiator, it is an expected practice. Expected at least if you spend enough money. MAP violation because of free shipping is just plain stupid.

If they are creating bundles with old vacs and the new accessories they must be compatible?!?! But what about the backpack vac and my classic V1 wet/dry???? I almost ordered an airtip accessory the other day just to try out but couldn't bring myself to pay the price.

I have the M12 fuel vac and the OG 0880. Let me go measure the tips to see if they are the same.

The OD on both is 1.3", the ID on them both is 1.07" so if it fits the new M12 vac, it should fit our classic 0880 ones as well.
