Very nice! If that's your entire lawn. Then I can definitely justify one too!5.0s worked for me
Somehow didn't put the carb back together right on my gas mower so now its non operable until I can futz around with it.

I'm surprised people still look to buy the old brushed model. I understand why when the bulky 2557 Fuel came out but now that there's the High Speed model I don't see a reason to.I have Dewalt tools I am satisfied with them.
That said, the Milwaukee M12 2557 ratchet has me interested...a lot. I looked at the 2457 and watched some YouTube videos. I am leaning towards the 2557 kit with a couple batteries. This would be my only and first Milwaukee 12v tool so I would get it with the batteries and charger.
They don't give it away. Is it worth the price? Is it worth the premium over the 2457? If you have one and use it pretty hard, how is it holding up?
Thanks for any info you can provide.

There are no "Fuel" batteries. Fuel generally denotes a brushless motor tool. There are High Output/High Demand batteries that use 21700 cells instead of 18650 but that's only for M18. M12 batteries are all 18650 cells since three 21700s wont fit inside the M12 tool handle. What is the difference between fuel batteries and the other lithium batteries?

The 2457 is nice if you want the smallest handle and don't mind slightly reduced run time and slower speed.
I agree - have the older/OG FUEL and have never had issues with it going where I wanted or anything like that. The speed would probably be fine, but it's not enough to make me want to sell my old one to get the new one...I have the 2457 and it is by far one of my most favorite Milwaukee tools. The slower speed is actually kinda nice cuz you can let off the gas quickly if you don't want to go full tight. Not saying you can't with others, just sharing what I like about it.

I have about 20 HarborFreight clear plastic bins for hardware organization. They sit on a shelf so quality isn’t important. It just needs to keep the parts accessible for occasional use. If I needed to take it to a job site or move it around the house, I would use something better. For me, just getting the hardware out of bags and boxes and into an organized container was great.I purchased a Milwaukee Switch Tank sprayer awhile back and it bit me good, the obsession has spread and consumed me since. The M18, and even M12 tools, keep multiplying every time my wife looks in the shop. I'm now getting a hankering to upgrade my storage/organization. I currently have a zillion akro bins mountded on my walls but I've run out of places for some things and there are definitely some items I'd prefer to have in storage with an actual lid. I've always admired those "ultimate small parts storage" projects you see with racks of Harbor Freight small parts cases. Anyone ever done that with packout cases? It will hurt my sanity to not go Milwaukee but I have a feeling the price would just be absurd beyond belief to do one of those with packout cases instead of the cheap HF, Rigid, whatever boxes. I'm hoping to hear from anyone who has done it, or at least thought long and hard about it. Let me know your thoughts!

I would go with emptying your wallet, not very impressive looking.Looks like Milwaukee is answering your prayers or emptying your wallet...
I just can't get into packout with the current pricing framework. Maybe that will get me kicked out of here![]()
I recently picked up the 2567. I love the speed and size of the head, but my biggest complaint is how the reverse knob is recessed in the back of the head which makes it hard to grab ahold of. This makes switching much more difficult when you're holding parts / components while ratcheting. I sure wish the knob stuck out a bit more. This almost ruins an otherwise perfect ratchet in my eyes. What they ↑ said.
The 2567 has a normal sized ratchet head that will fit better in most places. The 2557 is way too large IMO and the 55 ft-lbs is unnecessary. You'll just tighten/loosen with the normal ratchet motion and run the fastener on/off.

Here's pics of the 2457 next to the 2567.
I'm considering selling my unused 2567, buying the long reach 1/4" and converting it to 3/8".
Agreed, and that's why I installed this in both of the high speed ratchets I bought. I like it so much, I also installed it in the 1/4" extended reach and turned it into a compact head extended reach 3/8" ratchet.I recently picked up the 2567. Awesome! I guess I should have done a bit more digging on this. Thanks for the link. I just placed an order. Milwaukee should just make this standard. I have small fingers and sometimes the recessed standard switch still bothers me.Post #24564 above shows the tall shift knob installed.
I wasn't gonna get it since the stock one didn't bother me much but after seeing javy install his I decided to get one. So much better & well worth the upgrade.
EDIT: Keep in mind my pic is with the boot installed. Without the boot the tall shift knob sticks out even more.
I really don’t have a need for mobile tool storage but looking at what they offer, I can’t believe it won’t be heavily copied in the future, at a lower price point.I might get some Packout stuff when the price drops.
Not really impressed with it for how much they charge for it.

But if they get it right the first time how will they make money with 10th+ gen tools & "upgraded" accessories?
But yeah, of course I agree.![]()
I already requested the flex head ratchet lol. There is a powered ratchet torque wrench, which is kinda extended cause its huge, adding high speed to it is about the all in one you requested. I dont even recall what the rpms on it are, used it last week, it is slow. They are probably reading this and are now saving it for V11
I'm just going to throw out ideas in hopes they bump the switch up to v4 or v5:
The above is all I am asking for.
- Flex Head
- More powerful LED lights
- 1/4 and 3/8 quick interchangeable heads
- High speed extended ratchets
- Built in torque wrench feature
- Bolt identification intelligence for idiots like me, like it tells you which socket you need and gives you a warning when you are using an SAE socket on a metric bolt
Thanks for the mower report. So it might be all they hyped? One complaint I saw is someone said it doesn't really cut a low of 1" supposedly the min is 1.5".Wife was pissed at the price... but done with cords
I love when questions like this are followed by an ask to borrow a tool...Ya, the OPE promo didn't include the mower. I think they figured everyone is gonna just buy it since the wait has been so long. My gas mower is cordless too so I'm hurting for the electric mower. If a good promo comes up, I'll snag one though.
Also, my friend's dad was over this weekend and asked me if I have stock in Milwaukee. Am I the only one that has been asked that?
People say to me, "You must work for Milwaukee". In addition to the massive piles of packout, tools, tool chests, etc. Around the house I am usually in a freebie Milwaukee shirt (have 10+), and outside during fall-spring a Milwaukee hoodie.Ya, the OPE promo didn't include the mower. No one else ordered? Disappointed first OPE deal isn't 4/1, after all the pain and wait for many years they should of rewarded us out the gate.
