Browsing the KTC Japan website I noticed they have a series of Nepros 3/8" ratchets crammed into 1/4" bodies. Regular, stubby, and flex head. I stumbled across this by looking at the ratchet rebuild kits. They had 2 kits that looked identical, but different parts #'s, so I investigated further.
Here's the regular 3/8" in 1/4" body:

Do any other companies do this?
Is the Nepro website safe to buy from? Im very interested in buying Nepro tools but im kinda hesitant on purchasing it on the Nepro.net website. Has anybody ordered from the website recently and how well did the transaction go? Any help would be great!
idiot proofing???
Prices about $100 for retail and $90 for stock/discount.
Do a search , there are plenty of threads about Nepros and a lot of happy customers who ordered direct from Nepros Japan.

WTF!!!
everything's less than half price.
i could saved almost thousand dollars(canadian) if i knew that site 2 years earlier... i was paying full price from japanese online-shopping site.
i'll buy from that site. if any of mine grows feet...
anyway i saw reading the warranty section and didn't find the part where they say "warranty void if product was used for commercial/industrial purpose...

Last month I placed a Nepros order and was told at the time the 3/8" ratchet was out of stock. I received it this week. Super nice looking ratchet like the rest of the Nepros Mirror tools. I used it today and it works well.
Also that crescent wrench
I have seen a few from other makers, but daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn!

Its like looking into a mirror on those pliers, and the T handle carry forwards the detail you see at the ends with the bump stops.Dave,
The quality of their surface preperation, in conjuction with their triple chrome plating process is simply second to none. There's no other hand tool manufacturer in the world that pays so much attention to each and every one of the tools that they send out their factory.
Pretty much a hall mark for the Japanese in most things they do. Its always about the detail, prep, and the overall final product for them.
It probably doesn't hurt that their production line is much smaller in quantity so QA isn't that much of a problem per say.

I doubt their production line is smaller than any of the other tool truck brands, KTC is a major manufacture in Japan.
The attention to detail for Japanese manufactured products is world class. Japan has their metallurgy down pat for sure.
When I was last in Japan, I saw 600 year old Katana's that looked brand new. The craftsmanship and quality of maintenance play a big part in keeping those blades of steel not only razor sharp, but also sharp looking.
I'm considering pulling the trigger on the Nepros 1/4" ratchet set with all the fixin's next pay day, and maybe their 3/8" 72 tooth round head ratchet. Ok, I've considered enough... I am going to purchase those gems and probably more![]()

Where do you buy these at??![]()
Btw, doesn't Rakuten or whoever, charge quite a bit for shipping?
They chrage me about 2000 yen per kilo. I think not too bad for the EMS. It used be pain in the a-hole because they were delivered by UPS!!! now they are delivered by Canada Post... so, service has improved...
Hrmm, that's not too bad. I was expecting much higher. Do you get charged with brokerage/duty fees all the time?
Placed my order for some of Nepros goodnessA few sockets, ratchet and sliding T bar..... Can't wait
Rgrds
Im guessing nepros in higher quality.
