I'm sure it's a big issue. Every single one of the screwdrivers I saw on ebay last night was in the same boat as ours. It doesn't even seem like "paint" When I felt it it seemed "rubbery" like latex.

Well as long as the money's going toward a good cause and all.
I know I'm a complete noob here, but isn't this a pretty crappy way to represent your business?

We get eachother something small for easter. My sister wanted a set of pink snap on screwdrivers, sure enough she got em. I think its a girly thing, but whatever makes em happy.
no because you could care less about me and if you are not in my area I will not lose sleep if you do not buy from me. I have a customer base and my customers are very well taken care of. If someone outside of my area has an attitude problem then I do not waste my life worrying about them.

so do not take that the wrong way. I help out people all the time. there are 3 dealers in killeen where I am today. I have had 3 customers from the other routes stop and get stuff and warranty tools. they were very well taken care of and business was handled properly. but for someone that is across the country you are of no concern to me.
now if you have a question or need help via the computer that I will try and do. i get asked daily about stuff and not once have I told someone no I will not help you at all.............

So somebody says they don't want to buy your product and, as a representative of your franchise and of the Snap-On Tools Corporation, you make a crack about his mother? You're cool with that?
Aren't you actually trying to sell tools in your signature?

I think I can speak for mrshaun on this. Garage Journal is a recreational activity for us and not an occupation. We are not "on duty" in this forum. I have been involved in ******* matches with some people in here as well. I also have had quite a few people in this forum buy tools thru my website. I like to think that one of the reasons is that I am not afraid to speak my mind and I am not a corporate stooge that speaks that "party line" at all times. We both have the links in our sig to cut down on the numerous PM's that we get asking "Can I buy tools from you?" You have no idea what we have done to help out members of this forum so you need to lighten up.

I personally believe that Chad and Shaun are probably the most stand-up truck guys out there. Shaun is right though. Why in the hell should he care if you buy his tools or not? I'm willing to bet that you never will buy anything from Shaun or Chad, so what's the difference? They aren't going to flop because you don't like the pink tools.
That said, I LOVE the criticism about how the pink tools are "gay, fruity, etc". Seems to me that the people who wouldn't use a tool because it's pink are VERY closed minded. Ask yourself this question. Knowing what you all know about SO, If someone gave you the option of an ENTIRE pink set of Snap-on tools OR a set of (insert your favorite color here) Stanley, Husky, tools for free. Considering that the deal was you couldn't remove ANYTHING pink..which would you take?

A color is just that...a COLOR. I see most people like to be boring with their orange, red, black... I CHOOSE to be different. That is why I have NUMEROUS pink, purple, (insert other "gay" colors here) Snap-on tools.
Did you guys even know that since pink is the NATIONAL color for breast cancer that PURPLE is actually the national color for the gay community?

Yup, you are a "complete noob", therefore you know nothing about any of the members on this site, maybe you should get to know people before opening your mouth about a member who has went out of his way to help other members of this site. Craftsman DOES in fact make pink tools. I've seen a few craftsman screwdrivers, soft handled ratchets, etc. Hell...there's even a company that makes nothing BUT (mostly) pink tools.

At least Snap-on trys to keep things fresh. Green and orange impacts, pink screwdrivers and socks, ect. I'm not into the pink thing but more power to you if you are.
I would, however, buy a set of pink hard handles if they ever produced them!
Damn, all I said was that I was disappointed because they weren't for breast cancer awareness, because I've had relatives w/ many different forms of cancer. I figured it would get some negative comment, but not from one of the dealers and a very uncalled for crack about my mom.

You must not have read that pink is the national color for breast cancer awareness. So, TECHNICALLY regardless if it's FOR it or NOT you CAN SUPPORT breast cancer by wearing/using pink.
Also, how do you know that Shaun doesn't own the truck? Even if he DOESN'T own the truck I really don't think the guy would or does give two shits about what he says on the internet as 95% of the people IN this thread probably never have nor ever will buy from him.
I was going to sell 1 of my sets of screwdrivers & buy this to help support cancer. But since it's not about that, i'll just keep what I have & donate some money instead. i'm all about helping out a good cause. Just like when I go to the pet store & i buy an extra bag of food & donate it to the rescue shelter my dog & my parents dog(siblings) came from.
a dealer is a dealer. my uncle pays the bills I run the truck and do everything else. he does the excruciating part of the business. all the damn paperwork. so I am in a good position where I am at. I run real good numbers so not being the owner is still very profitable and I love it. best job I have ever had. hardest but the best.
l will speak my mind and I do not do it from a corporate point of view. I will open my mouth before i think at times... it happens... anyways no hard feelings from anyone out here. we are all bigger behind our screens LOL

I was thinking about doing the same thing for my 2.2 year old. She knows that anything pink belongs to her but she loves the tools. Her 'technique' would be best served by a ratcheting screwdriver.

Clearly I have neglected my daughters education. Her screw driving skills are need development. Time to buy her some new tools.
My daughter loves the pink handle and my wife gave me no grief for spending $50 on a screwdriver plus I get to borrow it any time I want. It is a win win situation for sure. My daughter loves motor oil too. When we got to Walmart we first look at the fish then we go check out the oil. She goes and grabs a gallon of Shell Rotella synthetic 5w40 every time, daddie's girl.
kids are good like that. if you teach them what is good you can never argue with them about getting the good stuff.
if I open the door to the garage the little one goes straight to the toolbox and knows which drawer is missing the lock and roll piece and starts pulling out tools.

Hey guys my wife helped me put up my stock order last night, and was amazed with all the pink tools. Needless to say I'm short some pink socks.

I hate to say this but. There is a thread from chadster I believe. In that thread I posted all of the part numbers. Take a search for "pink snap on" and it should pull it up.
