Well it's been a week or two since my last post. Ive been busy as a bee with design work, the Poncharosa. There is a new addition to the family. Besides me, William Wallace my scotty, thiers White Cloud the 9 week old white german sheperd puppy I flew in from Ohio. I had ordered him back in Nov. from the Kennel i bought him from. I thought I would be complete with construction by know back then, but all this liquid sun shine and freezing weather has set us back.
Anyway we have been making some progress. I drove to Houston last Thursday to pick up The 8- 8' doors I had ordered.Out of the 8 doors only one that was correct as to what I ordered, which was the one I needed the most. That was the mahogany double door. I will be that much closer to bricking the front and side.
Anyway here is a few mor pictures.

Thanks 1/2Cup and Coykiam
The punch list is getting smaller along with the bag of money I hade to build it with.
I have the ceilings in the kitchen area and my bed room left to complete. Trim out the wainscoating, base boards and the crownless molding. Complete the shower in the master bath along with plumming trim, electrical, counter tops and heating and air .
I can not wait to get out of the camper. I bought 2 quarts of Shine to sip on the porch after I move in. What a day that will be:rocker::bounce::3gears::D:):bounce:

Hello Yall

It has been a few weeks since my last post. There seems to be no end in this trim out. I do think i can see the light at the end of the tunnel, even though i missed my
cost estimate by around 30% +-. Oh well thats why they call it an estimate. When trim out is complete in living area im moving in and going to take a break, build up my nest egg and take care of the outside one project at a time. Fence, outdoor kitchen / screened in porch and concrete the parking area and driveway. I'm hoping to move in week after next.
Here are a few up date on progress.

GAWSH DANG. Not sure how I missed this. Since I was a teenager, I dreamed of buying a warehouse and putting living quarters in it as my primary residence. What I envisioned was just.like.this. However, I am married and enjoy it. Don't think the Mrs would go for it. Congrats man. VERY nice.

I live in Plaquemine, La. It's a little town of around 7500 people, that has been around since 1775 and is on west side of the Mississippi River 8 miles south of I-10 Bridge at Baton Rouge, La.
It was a gate way to the south western part of La. by way of Bayou Plaquemine. Where many of the Acadians "Cajuns" landed from being exiled from Nova Scotia. A little History Lesson!!!!

We made the screen doors out of 2"x6" cypress from the pile. They are a little stronger than a plane screen door. I wanted them to match the porch.
