Punch sets will be going in the mail over the next couple of days, as I fit up the cases and box everything up. :)

As you know, I've been fitting Pelican cases the past couple of days. To cut the foam inserts for the cases, I set up the Do-All with a rip fence made from a section of Maple.

Here's a video of the action:

The punch arrived today.... the level of quality and precision is unseen in today's consumer tools... I think only in medical or aerospace do you find fit and quality like this.. an order of magnitude nicer than the next best punch made.

John, you have the makings of a successful business my friend... quality always sells.

What does the spare set consist of, and what is the price?

Hi Rick,

The spare set is 4 punches sized 1/16", 1/8", 3/16" and 1/4" with two lengths of pins and a handle. Serial #12. Priced at $149.00

I can order and fit a small Pelican Case for just "The Punch" set which would bring the total to $199.00

I can order and fit a large Pelican Case to fit both a "The Punch" set and "The Hammer" for $273.07

A Master Set with a "The Hammer" and a Pelican Case can also be done for $389.00 if you need another hammer. :)

Plus shipping

That is correct John. I have been using the first two hammers almost daily to help disassemble, repair and reassemble a lot of pneumatic and electric tools I have picked up recently on Ebay and Craigslist for next to nothing. The hammers have worked out great for me. You do very fine quality work.

Interesting use of "The Hammer" Rick. I'd never though about it as a tool for rebuilding air tools but I can definitely see it's utility in that application!

Oh, I know you'll get me back....

:)

Great pics FFPL!

Hammer group #4 is under way and it will be the largest group yet, approximately 18 hammers. About half of the group is sold so far!

Hi Kevin,

The fact that it's specifically designed for aluminum alloys - it is a dedicated-purpose-tap rather than a general-purpose tap. Mainly, three flutes instead of four for more chip clearance and increased rake on the cutting edges to reduce cutting torque.

Man, I know you had to hear this before, and if I'm the first to say this I would be surprised but, you should be a teacher. The way you explain things makes it easy to learn and eager for more. Thank you

I have to hand it to you, A_Pmech. Unlike Snapon and Matco and others, your tools make me wish I could afford to have a garage filled with the kind of tools you make.

^^^^^^what he said^^^^^^

I think my hammer is getting lonely, but punches will have to wait till summer. Other financial priorities right now. Gotta pay some taxes...

I'm interested in a master set. Can I PM you my address for a shipping quote? Did you have any ready to go and if not what's the turn around time? Thanks!

I haven't had a chance to buy / build the equipment needed to grind the end on a roll pin punch.

I registered specifically as a result of reading your threads regarding the tools you craft. Are you still producing the master kits?

The engineering you put into this knocked my socks off. Nice job, A_Pmech.

I think jblachly has a really good idea here. Make brass inserts for the various sizes of punch bodies. You need brass drifts all the time, in the same way you need brass hammers.

Could the punches be made from brass for gunsmithing?
