Update:

Serial #1 is taken!

FOR EXISTING HAMMER OWNERS

Also, for existing owners of "The Hammer" who wish to buy "The Punch" and have the convenience of a Pelican case which will fit both, I'm offering "The Punch" in a fitted Pelican #1450 case, the same case used for the Master Set for $273.07

Simply add your hammer for your own Master Set.

CLARIFICATION:

I failed to indicate in the original pricing post that since "The Punch" is a new product, I'm making an introductory offer of free shipping through March 11th.

After March 11th I'll be adding shipping to the total price of all punch sets.

I'm pretty interested in roll pin punches as well, seems to be all they use in automotive and firearms, not saying I can't use the regular punches.
can we get a stripped down version? no handle etc for a reduced price?
Any chance on more sizes too?

Any Idea when roll pin punches will be coming?

I'm going to work on those after I get a few basic sets out there. I have some ideas for a few other styles of pins as well.

Send me a PM detailing what you would like and I'll see what I can do!

Hi guys,

I've been short on updates recently because planting season is in full swing and I'm the go-to guy when things break down.

However, here's photographic proof that they are indeed progressing:

Handles are next!

:)

BTW: I have two hammers left.

John, we're not worried about you taking the money and running, trust me... a more honest and honorable business I've not dealt with.... Take your time, make them to the Paulding Tools quality standards and deliver when ready! I am anxious I must admit, but patient..

A few more progress photos:

The punch bodies have been drilled, tapped and grooved. They're awaiting final finishing:

Just so you don't think I was going to use hardware store O-rings... *shudder*

:)

The tap is a special 3-flute spiral point specifically designed for aluminum alloys. Not cheap ($56 ea.) but they work very well. Especially on punch handle nuts. :bounce:

Just out of curiosity, what makes that tap so special?

Hi Kevin,

The fact that it's specifically designed for aluminum alloys - it is a dedicated-purpose-tap rather than a general-purpose tap. Mainly, three flutes instead of four for more chip clearance and increased rake on the cutting edges to reduce cutting torque.

I'm fitting Pelican Cases this evening and you know what that means... Shipping in a few days. Finally. :bounce:

Photos and video soon!

Additionally, I'm preparing to make another group of hammers. This group will be larger than the first three due to extra demand. It's already 1/3rd sold out! :)
