Figured this one out after 3 Fosters.

If you have a tiled shower in your garage. Clean the tile thoroughly and Impregnate it w/ this product.
A quick wipe down after each use and you’ll only have to do further cleaning maybe two, three times a year.

Copy: another way to keep from cleaning your tile showers often is to squeegy and wipe the water off the walls and floor tiles and glass if you have any after each shower and then you only have to clean and bleach your tile maybe every few months or so.

I loved your re-purposing things you posted and i'll tell my FIL about the ladder and barrels the next time he has to redo his lakefront dock.

Here is one, not “really” repurposed but instead of using them for outlets in the wall, I made 2 long extension plugs with them for my work bench. The plugs are behind the bench and I only have the 1 free. So this was the equivalent of one of those power strip bars that harbor freight sells for $20-$25 and I had all the parts laying around. I figure I won’t have any issue with over amp bc the plugs are 15am on a 15amp breaker with a 15amp GFI. So I don’t plan to have much plugged into them just looking for additional accessibility when I have to use a drill or some other tool but don’t have to hunt for an extension cord and then reach behind everything to plug it in. Made a 3 plug outlet for each work bench. I have 2 work benches.

Eventually that link will go dead. Here is a screenshot. That’s interesting. 961efcfd546bc7c16515c3f8ab150f6b.jpg

You rock.

Is it not a chore to come up with / seam a new belt for such a machine?

It's probably best to find the long belts and then cut the frame down on both sides to match the length of your belts.

There was a guy on here who posted some good shots of his. He'd ground the "V" into a thick plate with his that was used for bending metal into an angle iron section that fit his 20T press. It was in a homemade tools for your hydraulic press thread here somewhere. I couldn't find his post though.

Used this old data plate I grabbed from an abandoned coal fired power plant to cover the hole where we cut off the extension on the air intake tube

Yes its handy and I add extra to the oil pans too, double the capacity. The 500 Cadillac was a pain, big engine, 4 1/2 qts oil. Put common ball valve on so they could be drained in to jug.
1 of them I take the axle off, it was in the way and I handle it with a crane, it lightened it a lot and made it easier to haul. Wheels are a problem on a flat bed.

A lot of guys like fussy craft work. I can do it and have done a lot of highly inspected jobs but my fave is really MyGyver stuff. I make all kinds of covers from oil and anti freeze jugs.
Also wanted a hinge we could move for prototype.

Here was a dandy. The fitting is recessed and got no idea what special tool they used at the factory and don't remember how we even got it off, could have been loose I don't remember but I strained my mind to invent the tool then I came up with this. I split a nut in half after I drilled the threads out, put it over pipe and weld it to the factory nut making it an extension.
I include another one, had to reach in a blind hole to install nut.

Not really garage related, but I finished my basement in my new house a couple of years ago, and on the site where my house now sits was an old two car garage. In the garage was an old aluminum window. I saved the window to use somewhere in the future - well, I figures it out. Gave my wife some things to do in the craft room.

I have two drill presses, one of these HF ones (https://www.harborfreight.com/heavy-duty-16-speed-floor-drill-press-38144.html) and one clone of it, but 15 years or so older.
The HF one is barely used but has a worn out taper due to me trying to mill with it. The older one is still in good working shape but could use a little TLC.

What can I build/re-purpose using a drill press?

Belt sander? buffer?

I have or have access to welders, cnc plasma, etc. so fabbing something up is on the table.

And used them to make a masking tape dispenser with the addition of a length of small diameter electrical conduit. (Also scrap)

That is great! Wish I would have seen this before I tossed 3 of these chairs prior to seeing your contribution. Oh well have one left and I’m going to check out the metal dump at the lake for some donor thrones.
