made a new shop clock from a couple aluminum scraps a recycled clock movement, a wall transformer from a old cordless phone and a old double roller timing chain set that i just couldn't get myself to throw away!
it is all part of my rehab garage therapy for now.

What started out as lunchroom tray cart became my welding cart.

however I didn’t like having my helmet hanging out collecting dust so I decided a heavy duty file cabinet would make a better cart.

the dolly is repurposed bed frame and the casters came off of some unknown cart.

I like it. That gives a place to put welding helmet, goggles, face shield, ear plugs, and other PPE out of the path of grinding sparks and dust. Currently that's a constant battle for me.

Hmm! That's a pretty good copy of the one in my shop. Except for the color and the welder. Must have been picking up ideas at the meetup.

I just stripped down two PC tower computers so I could recycle the electronics stuff and smash up the hard drives before taking it to the recyclers. Before I take the sheet metal cases to the scrap yard has anyone “repurposed” the cases into something else? They seem to be pretty sturdy.

YES. I had a very old Compaq PC... sheet metal case with two panels... one for the bottom... one for the top. I saved them from the scrap and reused them.

HF 5 Drawer Cart... both sides are open and allow for the screwdriver stems to be visible. I trimmed the PC's Sheet Metal panels and painted them red to match my cart and carefully rivetted them onto the angle legs. Providing a smooth surface and making the screwdriver stems invisible.

I outlined and photographed this modification in the HF 5 Drawer Cart thread. The modification ... goes across a few posts. Here is a good starting point.

Thick 1/8” aluminum wire. On length on top of the hole in the soffit. One through holes drilled in the screw top adjacent to the rim and just force fit. One over the other. Very snug.
