I think that was more due to C-19 freak outs, I was not allowed inside at all this time. :(

Ramp truck is having slight issues, been sputtering off and on, I almost didn’t make the trip because it had me nervous, now that I am loaded, I don’t care. I am halfway home, stopped for lunch at the Cheesecake Factory.

Looks like you damn near have $900 worth of tires.

They are all junk, but I still feel it was a good deal, there is no way I could build it for that price. Just one axle is probably $2500. I do think that I will make it into a dump trailer, then still shorten the really long one.

Took an extra hour and a half to get home, but I made it without a tow, ramp truck is doing almost exactly the same thing as before, no power under a load, luckily the Lista stuff was only 2000 pounds, if I had a Burb on there, it would never mad it home. Thank my lucky stars that I got back in one piece.

Just got back from mounting the new tires for goldfender, I wanted to take it home, but I need to pick up supplies in the morning and they won’t fit in the back of the Burb. Oh well, maybe tomorrow.

I am putting the ramp truck in the Quonset hut for the night, just in case it rains. I am not sure what, if anything, will get done with the storage wall this weekend. Wish I could just dedicate a bunch of time to it, but I have a dozen things that need to be done first. :(

Went to pick up the one piece shower stall and found a half price one piece tub, figured that it would be great for one of the houses. Now I have to get sheathing, then go back and pick up the tub and some paint.

Holy ****, yup the regular site is going to take some getting used to, not sure if I am going to like it........

The sheathing that I bought this morning was $73 each sheet, my online price showed $60, but apparently not in this neck of the woods. :(

I have shuffled a few trailers so I could get to my crane forks, hopefully we can use them to lift the one piece shower into the upstairs, we are going to remove a window and part of the wall to get it in there, should be interesting.

I'm beginning to wonder if anything you do is ever easy or straight forward. Not that it's necessarily your fault, but it seems to work out that way every,...single,...time.

So far this morning and early afternoon have been exactly as unawesome as they could be. Perk just plain ***** trying to actually do anything with precision, like I don’t ever want to do what I just had to do again, at least not until I have a working remote and the proper hydraulic Pump/PTO combination. Trying to use the forks is an absolute nightmare, especially when your help doesn’t understand that you need to move the boom in three directions to make it actual go where it needs to go. Then the RPMs are all wrong, so I rig things to rev the engine, but once the hydraulics load up, you need more throttle, but when you left off of the controls, the engine over revs and you have to quickly kick the throttle back. I can see that ultimately a computer controlled engine is required to make things function best, I am hopeful that once we swap the hydraulic pump and PTO out (when the transmission gets swapped) that just changing the ratios and pump flow will make a huge difference, at least so I don’t look like some mad scientist running the controls. I have just a couple more things to do before we can tear into Perk to do the trans swap, but it seems the list keeps getting longer as the days go on.

Today is hot, tomorrow will be hotter, somehow I got poison ivy in the crook of both arms, so I am super uncomfortable, completely soaked with sweat, and frustrated, I still have to shuffle trailers again. To top it all off, my second adjustable hitch is MIA and I had to disconnect a trailer just to use the only one I had left with a 2” ball. That hitch needs to get changed out, I don’t want anything but 2 5/16” or a pintle, very frustrating playing musical trucks and trailers.

So for today all I have done so far is move trucks and trailers while unloading the flooring, the shower, and the bathroom vanity. Now I just want to go home. :(

The first run of 80s always gets me. I am also still wearing my thicker pants, so that isn’t helping. The poison ivy is the worst part though, I look forward to making it go away.

I am about done, except I still have a ton to do, but I am not going to do it, just getting things picked up so I can go back to Home Depot and pick up the one piece tub.

I hate poison Ivy, I’m getting itchy just reading about it.
I generally get walking by a plant/vine.
Don’t know where you get all your energy, you switch gears faster than a dude on a 10 speed ****** that just heard about all the hookers at the next truck stop.

looks like your in for some heat next week, it’s like being down here in Florida.

The trucks and boom truck looks good.

Got the original trailer I moved put away, picked up the tub, unloaded it into the quonset hut, then brought Perk back up top. I am chilling for a few minutes, then going home for dinner.

Just found out that the roof of the house is home to a huge bumble bee nest, I can hear them scratching around in there. Guess it is time for some diatomaceous earth and a squeeze ball, that should stop them.

Perk and Buck were both useful today, of course Perk and the hydraulic system made things a lot harder than they should have been. I think jujube will be a better month overall, lots of lose ends have been coming together and a bunch of my annoying tasks have been completed. I guess in some ways I am on a roll, let’s talk again in July…..

Tub is very nice for half price, I will have to remove ad door and wall to get it to where I want it, but that shouldn’t be too bad since I already wanted to tear things apart anyways. ;)

"The Salvage Garage" = killer bees. Just because...

Didn't you have a honey badger in the shop a few months ago? Isn't she doing her job?

Curious. SWMBO is thinking of getting a Quonset hut as the shop extension. What are your thoughts on them? I think they're ugly as sin, and have a ton of wasted space.

No Lista pics, still on the truck. :(

As far as the Quonset hut, if you build at least a 4’ wall to set it on you won’t lose too much space. They certainly are cheap, ours is about 30 years old now, no real issues, they do get condensation on the inside when you have big temperature swings, but not as bad as a Conex, could be that this one is 50 by 100, might have more air and therefore not condense as much?

This morning my GF and I headed out to North Conway to pickup a couple things I bought, then she wanted to do some shopping since there are outlet stores galore. I am sitting outside on a bench making arrangements to buy things on marketplace. ;) just scored a small Lista cabinet, trying to get a few other things too. Don’t have a lot of room as the truck side boxes I bought are 4’ long and take up half the bed.

Craig, you get Perk and I’ll get Clark. We’ll get the Listas unloaded while Strouty spends some quality SO time.

If you pick up Uncle Willie on your way up, I bet he'd help load stuff in exchange for a few Burb's. If you're fast and thorough enough, you'll have most of Strouty's parking/project issues resolved too. Might need more than 3 drivers, say 6 drivers? Just don't take the rollback wrecker.

Smart money would get the 454 burb to the mechanic who owes you for the 550 and get an engine installed pronto. With the current truck shortage it will never be worth more than right now.
You know, having someone give you money for a change...
