I need less mud.

Been working at the Hill, trying to get things figured out, it is just a mess, really a mess. I am about out of steam and it is only 10 am, going to be a long day or at least it is going to feel like it.

The problem here is the ledge doesn’t let the water go, then it is filled with sand and 3/4 minus stone that we used to use for mixing concrete. It was a real waste to use it for this purpose, but at some point Dad did it. We took five loads out, probably 40 yards of material, maybe more, it barely looks like I did anything.

Headed to the Salvage Garage now, going to try and hook up the camper and get it out. Then I still need to clean up and paint at least four rims for tomorrow morning.

I think that I will be trying to do a couple hours every other day, just try and clean things up as I can. It is tough, because you keep unearthing things that aren't expected, then you try and figure out what to do with them. The 55 gallon drums, well, some have stuff in them, others don't, but they all need to go. I do NOT want to move the ones with stuff in them, so I will have to pump them out as I go, that will slow me down a lot. Luckily I have all the equipment to do it, although it should have been done years ago. The worst part is this is only the second tier, there is third and it has even more stuff. :(

Eating the elephant one bite at a time, I would love to have things cleaned up before Thanksgiving.

If my body holds out.....

I am working on sandblasting the rims that I need painted for tomorrow, it isn't going well. I don't even have one done and I have had to drain and sift the media twice now. I need to upgrade the blast cabinet, not sure I can tackle it tonight, might just see if there are a few hacks I can do. Seems like it should just work better than it does.

The cabinet wasn’t the issue, it was the gun, the foam was half in the siphon area, so it was blocking things and leaking, been like that since new, guess I should have pulled it apart a long time ago. I am going to switch it over to a metered type, but I need a few pieces and parts first. I got the rims done, well half assed, but these are for the auction trailer, so anything is a huge improvement.

I am beat, have to get up in 5 hours, eating dinner now. Need to get some topcoat paint for the rims, probably will need a few coats, all I had was the dark primer, was going to paint them white, might use gray.

Morning Sunshine, how's your back/body feeling? The place is looking better. At experts suggestion, I used packing sand for her "She Shed" and the parking lot and it's working ok. There's clay in it, so it becomes stable. I wouldn't use it again. From now on, just 21aa or millings for a topping.

Why are you emptying the barrels to move them? You have enough equipment around there that you could just pick them up full and move them.

I should have said trips, not loads, I am running on fumes. I only have maybe one trailer load of smaller type stuff going, the rest is bigger stuff, like trailers.

Time to head to bed for a good nights sleep? I'm sitting down with my better half to watch an episode of Murdoch Mysteries and going to get to bed by close to 9. My aim is to get 7+ hours of sleep tonight.

I am just heading home now, broke one of the hub oil covers, and someone is going to have a heck of a time removing one lug nut, let’s just say it isn’t going to fall off. I was going to touch things up, but it looks like I will make a mess, the rims look really good compared to what the old ones looked like.

The extended anvil impact was much better on my back, pretty balanced while being closer to my core while using it.

Well I hope you got better sleep than I did. The rims do look decent, and the impact looks like a BEAST. Glad it's working better for you.

I got about four hours, I plan on sleeping more tonight, most of the mad dash is done. Everything always takes longer than expected, at least when you are under a time crunch.

I still haven't left the house yet, everything hurts, it is drizzling out, I kind of went back to sleep for a bit. I think I earned that.

Since my Cousin was being paid to help cleanup, I know he worked 27.5 hours in the last three days, I know last night I worked an additional 7 hours, Sunday night was just about the same, and Saturday night was only about 5 hours extra. That means I slammed in about 50 hours over the last three days, my body hates me. :(

The 21st, a week from this Thursday.

Got the black trailer over, now working on getting the yellow tilt trailer over, then I have to help a Buddy move another trailer. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice all day, I hope I am not so worn down that I can't take advantage of it.

I just cleaned it up and painted it, got some on the lug nuts, but it still looks better than the rusty rims. I got all the big stuff that I could delivered, now I have some smaller things to take over, hopefully I can get all that done tomorrow, that way I don’t have to think about auction stuff again.

I hope you made it home by 8ish and aren't up for at least another hour. Though if I remember right, your girlfriend probably wakes you up when she gets up

I didn’t get home until 10:30, I am just waking up now, so at least I slept for a while.

I have to gather up the smalls now, then dump them off at the auction. I would also like to load up some scrap steel and trash while the weather is dry, I can dump them tomorrow or Friday. We adjusted the clutch in Perk last night, I had almost no free play and it was grinding at stop lights trying to get it into gear. Of course now, for some reason, I am having a hard time shifting into third and fourth gear. It is funny because I don’t use the clutch, so you would think that it wouldn’t impact how the transmission shifts, but it does. I just need to relearn how to shift, I am so used to having the clutch grab higher, I am a bit jerky now when I take off from a stop.
