I definitely do things in spurts, I start out with a great attitude, but the shear amount of stuff I feel obligated to move, store, or do is what wears me out.
I think I'm qualified to ***** you out, because you're a hoarder and so am I.
And it takes one to know one.
And I know most people that complain about these types of issues really don't want anybody telling them how to fix the problems.
But....what the heck, here's a go-round for ya.
Here's an idea:
STOP BUYING ****
You'll have less to Move, Sort, Store, and worry-stress about.
I know, not happening right?
In the years you've been running this thread, you have proved that most all the great deals, really aren't that great. Buying bulk-tons of cool stuff and then hauling it to the scrap yard or selling it off .........Gee it just SOUNDS stressful without even doing it.
You wonder why you get stressed?? You've got a nice supply of cool **** right now, so deal with what you have. Tackle some projects this winter, and refrain from hauling MORE in ......not even one more Lista cabinet, in pristine condition..... for $10.
The other thing is, you may not realize that stuff you're putting in your mouth might be affecting your mood and ambition levels.
I did read the post and saw the pics of the 2 pound Tacos.....or Burritos.
And you did say you might try and eat TWO.
NOT GOOD.
Do you drink much Alcohol? (I'm guessing not)
Do you drink much Soda?
Any Soda or sugary drinks are BAD.
Water is good. If you don't already, get used to drinking plain water.
About 4 months ago, I simply got board with drinking, and tapered it off.
Then I got thinking I might try being just a little bit smarter about the other **** I drink and eat. I did some reading, and some googling.
And I came to the conclusion that Sugar and High Fructose Corn Syrup is
just about the same as a mild poison. It won't kill you overnight, but it will kill you eventually. And......it drags you down all the time you consume it.
The addiction can alter your mood. Same thing with all the damn chemicals and preservatives in processed and fast food. That **** is BAD for you!
It affects your health over time.
So anyway, I cut out 99.8% of all Sugar and HFCS, 95% of the Alcohol I was drinking,
most all Processed and FAST FOODS.
It SUCKED at first, but after about 2 weeks I started to feel different, and then I felt incrementally BETTER. I lost 10 pounds without even trying.
I have felt much more relaxed, less stressed about my shop and all my **** I need to organize, and all my long list of projects I never get to.
Little things that have bugged me for years......some of them I have finally tackled and it feels really good!
I'm a more relaxed and patient person, and little things don't aggravate me as much, as I work thru them.
It's all about habits. Good habits and bad habits.
You're in the habit of just buying stuff, and then selling stuff, or scrapping stuff. You can change that habit to one of fixing stuff and using stuff you have to make money with.
I was able to change my bad eating habits to good eating habits. And now the good habit is........a habit. And I do NOT miss the old bad habits!
I do not miss Fast Food or sugar or candy bars. In fact, with the far reduced sugar intake, other things taste better and really sweet now. Fruits like Bananas and Grapes taste sweet as candy. And the flavor of food is way better. It's really a positive experience.
Long story short......
I suggest you try eating better, cut out the sugar and HFCS, get some exercise, JUST to exercise (If you don't already).
If you think about it, it's sorta a 'stop and smell the roses' kind of thing.
Don't let that damn shop run your life, or run you into the ground!
And as usual.....best of luck.
