Unfortunately that particular muppet can do no wrong in the eyes of my Father. 
Anyways, today I only have until lunch time and the ramp truck is here, so I want to try and shuffle a couple things while I have it. Tomorrow morning I have an appointment, so the morning is essentially gone as well. I may have to pick my battles on what goes to the auction, the C-70 crane may not make it, one outrigger won't stay down and if the crane doesn't function, I can't see it selling for squat. I hope that I can fix it relatively painlessly and quickly, but you all know how that goes. The good thing is that I have freed up enough room for all the trucks to be stored for the winter without an issue. I still want to bring in some more gravel to raise things up a bit, that way I can control where the water goes a bit better.

Depending on the amount, depth and type of damage on the cylinder, it may be able to be fixed..... but for how much....?
I recently got a quote for a 3-stage mast cylinder repair on my Clark forklift by a local industrial equipment company. It would be $2500 - $2800 for a full rebuild of the cylinder. That did include honing and polishing the cylinders and rods. If there were pits or nicks, they said they have a special welding process to fill the voids. That work would be extra..... The nicks and scratches have a way of tearing up seals.....
I did end up putting in the seal kit myself..... I'm happy to have that project complete!!

Ok, I am sure this won’t surprise most of you, some of you may even say “I told you so”, but I am stressing out over the quick decisions to send stuff to the auction, I am at a point where I think I need to step back a bit and really slow down. Years ago I did this with an air compressor, I sold my working unit and figured it would force me to setup the larger compressor, well it didn’t work, it took me a long time to setup another air compressor and that is kind of what I feel like I am doing. I am going to take the super obvious things to the auction, then take a breather. I am already stressed enough, don’t need to compound things. I need to fix the C-70 so that it is usable again (outrigger issue), then I can list it for sale, if it doesn’t sell, it will go in the spring auction. By then I should have a decent knuckle boom setup and releasing the C-70 won’t feel as stressful. The boat trailer, I just can’t risk it, I need to get some decent money out of it or use it myself to make some money.
I will say that I am probably the most organized and setup for winter that I have ever been and that is making me feel warm and fuzzy.

Nothing should leave until its replacement is up and running. Otherwise you’re back to borrowing to get work done.
The boat trailer should bring more money in the spring just before the boats go back in the water. Most have already been pulled out, so no one will buy it unless they think they’re getting a steal. You have the room out back, store it for the winter and sell it when prices, and demand, are up.
Just send the junk you’re tripping over to auction. Save the rest for spring when people are getting their equipment rebuilt after trashing it all winter.

After lunch I am going to start trying to figure out the outrigger issue on the C-70, hope it is something simple, but I am guessing it will end up being something expensive.
After I mess with that, I am going to get the OGMC inside so I can get the tail lights rewired, there is a short somewhere, but I can't find it, so I figure new wires should resolve the issue. Also have to swap the rear bumper, so it is a good project to tackle at the same time.

I absolutely hate mysterious issues, the outrigger seems to be working fine, the PTO is clacking, but I am pretty sure that is the driveshaft. Anyways, I raised the crane up on the outriggers and I am leaving it overnight, to see what happens. I am going to need to do a bit of testing to make sure it is stable, no way would I want the outrigger to not hold while I have a load on the boom, could be catastrophic.

My fault.. I just finished all 247 pages on Sunday and said "there, I'm up to date and can keep up now without binging". Like a lot of the followers of this thread that I suspect have similar issues, I'm going through a need to renovate, clean up and divest myself of 50+ years of "I might be able to use that in a project" (or at least some of it ) . Strouty is giving me inspiration in some areas, maybe not so much in others (I'm not buying trucks). Need a daily fix though or I'll settle back into the computer chair, or worse the recliner..
Also - a quick wave to my fellow central Michigan GJ'rs from the South end of Clinton County!

Sorry guys, been office swamped and then we got some rain, going to drop a few things off at the auction tomorrow, nothing major though. Today I did get the Cascadia delivered, great thing is that the air ride suspension brackets are the same as the leaf spring ones on the Freightliner, so it should be a relatively painless job to swap them out. Also looks like the two 100 gallon aluminum fuel tanks will be awesome to have.
I think there is some really good money in the truck, just need to squeeze it out.

Gotcha, that's good you can get some parts off of it that you can use.
Cleaning up a bit more, actually feeling good about what I have gotten done, have a few more things to do. Rain overnight, hopefully just cloudy tomorrow, I have help on Sunday, so I would like to be ready. Started doing a full assessment of the “stuff”, looks like I will need two more conex boxes to make everything fit, then I can get rid of the moving trailer and the two old truck body boxes. In order to do what I need to do it will end up being a really big mess. Would be nice to get it all done before the spring auction, then I can haul it all over there. The plan would be to empty the moving trailer and start refilling it with auction items, that will allow for some extra storage and a way to get the stuff to the auction relatively easily. I am sure there is going to be a bit of a pain, at least one tire on the trailer is flat.

That sounds like a good plan. I just bought a small enclosed trailer and we are filling it with the stuff that we have stored too long. We are going to let our grand daughter take it to the flea market and sell it. She wants to donate the money to an animal shelter she volunteers at. We are going to fill it full

As long as I can stick to it. I am going to have to squeak out the money for the conex boxes, but I think it will be worth the effort. I have a lot of things going on, so many that I may have to draw up a chart to make sure I don't miss anything. One of the most important things is to get a new inspection sticker on Bev, that way I should not have to reregister her prior to selling her. I brought the flatbed that will be going on her around front and put it on saw horses, I do have to modify it to fit, but I do not think it will be too bad a job, first step is sticker the truck, then remove the aluminum body. Once that is off, then I can figure out exactly what length I can live with, might be able to leave the body as is, but I think it will end up ruining the trailer hitch location.

I just bought 55 furniture moving blankets, get back to the shop, seller says he can’t sell them and needs them back, something to do with probate and his grandfather. He is headed here now, weirdest purchase I have ever made. He is discounting the rest of the stuff, but a bunch of time wasted.
So the stupid propane ford died right in front of the shop, outriggers and boom out, I just hope I can get it started tomorrow, usually has to sit for a few hours before it will restart, need to get the PTO and boom swapped ASAP. I am starting to feel exactly the way I was worried I would, now I have tons more parts trucks, several more projects, and still have to borrow other peoples stuff to do anything.
