Somewhere in Connecticut, I am tired, late night and early wake up *****. Will post some pictures of the buses and whatever else there is when we finally get there.

That is cute.

So we went to look at buses, ended up totally being junk, but they had a really cool fire truck. ;)

I tried to buy it. But they wouldn’t sell it. :(

Then since we had time we went and looked at the 2007 Chevy propane trucks with 300k miles on them. Turned out they were actually all GMC trucks and the one I bought was a 2009 with 199k for $2500. Will pick it up next week.

The fire truck was like a 57 Chevy, really cool and the top was chopped from the factory. It was ridiculous how wide it was.

This thing screamed rat rod, I would slam a big diesel in it and roam some coal. ;)

Actually, I am not a fan of rolling coal, but it would be pretty cool to make it into a big street rod diesel truck.

I haven’t told the GF about the new truck yet, going to bribe her with a trip to IKEA, then let her know that the new truck is only 30 minutes from there. :)

Gotta love the "won't sell it" guys that then never do anything with the old vehicles, just let them rot into the ground. I now, I know - it's theirs to do with as they see fit, but the amount of "nope. I'm gonna start on that one of these days" vehicles that go to total rot is a crime. Looking at one of the barn find or old junkyard pages almost hurts..

I hate snow, blew a hose on the new plow, I hit a rock and it pushed one side of the V plow so hard the line popped, guess it is better than the ram, just got it fixed and finished plowing.

Now I have to deal with the complete lack of heat at the hill, the shop is 33 degrees and the heating oil furnace has decided it won’t stay going. It needs a complete overhaul anyways, in fact it should be replaced. Will try and plumb up the waste oil furnace and see how that works.

My shop is a comfy 60 degrees all winter long. Crazy insulated... two oil filled electric rads...

For my garage cat... not for me... Mrs Pines set that priority.

Had both doors open today for a couple of hours... 40 outside... stayed above 60 inside.

I think I got the waste oil furnace going, will see what happens when it shuts off and I restart it. It appears to just need a priming and bleed. I still need to run new lines and setup thing better to fit the new tank, hopefully get that done soon, but definitely before next year. ;)

I just started unpacking my new oil drain, they either sent the wrong unit or the manufacturer changed the item, it was supposed to come with an offset funnel, that was what I wanted, instead it showed up with a regular round one. :( I am sure the seller will try and tell me it is the manufacturers fault, I was expecting to use the damn thing this week, not sure how I am going to handle it.

At least the waste oil furnace is working.

I hate when stuff like that happens. They just did that to my wife and a DVD she bought. They didn't tell her it was formatted for Europe.

I really don’t understand why we can’t have TVs and DVD/Blu-ray players that will work on either format.

Today has been a long annoying day, anything that could go wrong or make things more difficult happened. I hate days like this, I am home, waiting for the next annoying thing to happen. :(

That was the icing on the cake, Family lunch, turned into a discussion about religion and the Vietnam war, my stepmother was defending her brother by insulting my Dad’s service, made me mad as a hornet and I decided I would leave early. I did ask that we stop the “conversation” before it got ugly, but no one agreed that it was about religion and politics. Where is Ryan when you need him, wish I could perma ban her.

I'm here... was putting batteries in one of my label makers. And putting fresh headgear on my CPAP mask... the old one was stretched out more than Kim Kardashian's yellow thong.

Ryan's rules apply in my house 24/7... I will ban people... by writing them out of my will. No tools for you!!!

I am big enough that a few thinly veiled threats seem to end unwanted conversations, or give me justification to punch someone in the neck.

Days are getting longer for sure and that is a great thing. I had to go to the tower site to check out a few things, got a bit of a surprise, the contractor decided to move the location of the propane tank for the generator, nice easy placement, except it completely blocks my road to the back anchors. It is funny how plans that I approve seem to change without my approval. This has been one of the worst sites for this, so far all three carriers have done something different than what was agreed on.

Isn't that what contracts and engineered drawings are for?
