I am not interested in this type of bus, at least not yet, someday I would probably want one for a camper, but that will be a few years.

Looks like we may be in the shadow of all the weather, depends on how it tracks. Waiting to check over the bus, then we will need to see if the batteries have to be replaced, should be awesome, since they are 8D batteries and there are two making 24 volts. Fingers crossed.

So strange how I discussed a name for a bus project a short time ago. And looky here at bus pictures... I should charge for my clairvoyance...

Yea... not yours... yet you are in the middle of a bus project. As Sheldon Cooper would say... Bazzinga.

Best of luck...

Holy ****... 8D batteries can weigh 130 pounds... that's like a Tampa battery

We don’t have access to the sign board yet, I guess we need a software program and special card to get the programs on. It is currently showing “Happy holidays”

Glad your friend found a good bus. My Wife's sister's husband's sister's soon to be husband runs the first place in CT that you went to look. He has some real junk there.

Lol it's almost like you came to see me! :lol_hitti

Strouty, have you considered trying yoga? I've heard people with issues similar that it helped their quality a of life quite a bit. Just a suggestion. Enjoying the thread and all the pictures thanks.

I thank god for yoga everyday, without yoga, there would be no yoga pants and those have changed my life substantially for the better. Seriously, it has come up a few times and I probably need to do something, there are some lower impact yoga classes that would probably help a lot.

Almost, while the busses we saw were not so great, he had tons of parts and that will still create a business relationship, especially if he sells me the cool old fire truck. ;)

We stopped to grab something to eat, another hour or so and we should know if the batteries are good or bad, we don’t dare shut it off until we arrive at the store that has the correct batteries. We both think they will be fine, but just can’t be brave enough to shut it down without a backup plan.

Damn, hopefully no one was injured beyond the skid mark in their undies.

Strouty, Mrs Pines is way into all kinds of "LOW IMPACT" stuff that keeps her limber... lord knows it's useful. I will send you some links when she gets home. ALL are youtube-able. She has two or three people she follows.

You could outfit that nice horse tack trailer as a mobile yoga studio and retail store and tow it with the Tower BBQ rig!

Everyone can come do yoga and get some good eats at the same time!

Think of the clothing line you can market. BBQ and truck themed yoga pants, tight T-shirts and the soon to be world famous "Strouty short shorts".

Guys, we need to start a "Lista" of all the logo merchandising Strouty can sell...

We have been foiled by the bad batteries. They are cooking and now have boiled over. We are in a Walmart parking lot trying to get a couple batteries and some baking soda to neutralize things. Pretty nasty smell, but we caught it before it got too bad. Thankfully we stopped to get food.

24 hours almost exactly from when I got up and got ready for the airplane ride. Made it back without any major weather problems, our delays actually helped us for sure. I am looking forward to some sleep, don’t try and wake me up. ;)

When I was younger I used to do crazy long days. Personal best/worst is 56 hours without sleep, then 3 hours sleep, and another 28. Now, I take days to recover from a 20 hour day. It makes an old man out of you.

24 hours goes a little better if it never gets dark. Took a red eye home from Alaska, from the time it got dark in the West behind us to getting light in the East was 25 minutes. No sleep for me on that flight.
I was still a zombie driving everyone home all over town when we landed.

My personal best is 48hr shifts between 2 jobs. 12hrs on, 2hr nap, change job sites, 12hrs on, 2hr nap, rinse repeat.
I did that twice in one week. Slept on the floor of my van in a Boston alley in the Theater district / Red Light Zone.
I swore I’d never do it again. And haven’t.
