Trailer was a good deal, but the intent was with the truck it made the deal too good to pass up, the truck was in worse shape than anticipated, so the deal is no longer a great one. The trailer also has two leaking rams, one was an easy fix and the other was not. The pony motor was seized and the brakes were at about 10%, so even the trailer turned out not as good.

If it looks to be too good to be true, it probably is... I'm glad you took a pass on this deal.

There will be a better one... Hopefully in much better shape. You may have to pay a bit more, but remember, your time is worth something!

I would think that with the trucking slow down, you would have all sorts of options to pick from. I know Hess Auctions not far from me has a lot of trucks, etc listed in their auctions.

I am glad I wasn't tied to the deal either, I am still looking for a trailer, but not something as heavy duty. I think I found one, but it is a facebook deal where a friend listed it for the owner and I have not heard back from the owner yet, just the friend.

I spent the morning with the electrician looking over the mess at the Hill, there are sub panels feeding sub panels and wires running all over the place for no reason. I am looking at things like I will be removing the center wall, so I want to fix things in a way that when it comes time to remove the wall, I don't have to do everything over again. When we redo the upstairs office, it will get a dedicated sub panel and essentially be rewired, right now things are running off two different panels at different ends of the lower shop. I understand how things can get that way, but there is no excuse for it to be this way, my Dad has the money to fix things right, he just had lots of bad advice/ideas over the last 30 years.

I try and keep things interesting. ;)

I am trying to figure out the layout for the Lista cabinets at the Hill, I have come to the conclusion that there is only one way to set things up for the time being, not the way I wanted to do it either, but any other way will make more work than is needed for now. I will post some pictures tomorrow.

I wonder how many stamps it would be?

Most people at least offer to come and get them. ;)

Why would I come get them when I can have them delivered?

I will leave the door unlocked. Beer is in the fridge, leave me a couple.

Just think of all the nice, unrusted, southern trucks you could buy down here.

So tomorrow is prep the boat day..
Should get launched on Thursday so I can social isolate at sea while trying to catch Blackfish

Sounds like fun. I had a friend that used to describe fishing as a jerk on the end of a line waiting for a jerk on the other end of the line. He was a big time fish hunting guru. I could go either way, I like the idea of it, but I am a bit impatient.

that's a good one! The only patch I know of is the one size of a scrap bin that covers the entire engine block! Then you will never see this problem again... ;-)

That engine would be so easy to fix with Flex Tape!

That freaking show made me cry a couple times, the dynamics between the father, son, brother, and business could be very accurate.

I figured that was all fake drama for the show
Cause if it was real, the kid would just go get a job somewhere else
Except he was a total douchebag and no one would hire him

That’s the reason I DID NOT watch it

Bunch of whiny babies yelling and throwing stuff.

Congrats on not buying another truck you don’t need.

Rollers, yes rollers.

Still have one more load to get, bulky stuff and some pallets, all I have to do is “get rid of it”. First time I have ever had rollers that came straight off an assembly line, the rollers actually roll. Had I known they were taking a bunch of it yesterday to the scrap yard, I would have gotten that stuff too, oh well.

I have a few smaller pieces to pick up in the morning, but all the big stuff has landed. I am going to repack things, Dad wants some of it and if I stack it nicely I can fit everything on one pallet. Some is 300 pound rated and other is light duty, to be honest, the light duty seems heavy duty enough for most projects. There is a section that has a motor and a gear box with some other fancy parts. It is going to rain tomorrow, so I have to get it all inside tonight, on top of that I am moving my big tool box to the Hill, lots to do!

Local beverage distribution place upgraded to fully powered rollers, I know the electrician and scrap is down so much they said I could take them.

I completely unloaded my big tool box and put it on the ramp truck, just got it unloaded at the hill, should make things a bit easier, also need to really break up my tools so I have the basics at the SG, otherwise I will hate myself.

Several year back a local warehouse got new rollers and I got all the old ones. I sent most of them to scrap and kept a few. I slowly sold them all. I wish I had a few of them now.

They are a PITA when you don’t need them, but I have a plan, half of them already went to Dad’s, even though I still have to deal with them. The SG is pretty stuffed right now, but I think a few hours will have all the rollers on one pallet so they can be stuffed out of the way. I have a plan for them that will be really nice if it works the way I anticipate. Just need to do a bit more shuffling before I can start that project.
