I use a zip tie tool, it tightens and flush cuts in one pass, no sharp edges. I searched for a while to find a nice Panduit one for a decent price, last pair I bought was about $45.
Been removing bolts and hydraulics, still working, lots of bolts, lots of glue, tight fitting stuff, makes it slow going. Sometimes you can't get a bolt without opening the hood, so that makes things fun too.
Removed the two rams first
Then the wood
Next was the hydraulic tank, they used an air tank and made it work.
You can see the glue on the brackets, after unbolting them, you still have to break the parts free.
This bracket was bare steel from 1997, that sealant/glue is good stuff.
Prying off the drivers side bracket for the forklift, took a bit of effort.
It is on the floor, but I will either need to completely remove the bumper or jack the truck up to get it out of the slot they made.
The other side is harder, the hydraulic valve pack was interfering with bolts, but it was not easy to get out of the way, then one of the bolts stripped the threads so it wouldn’t tighten or loosen, had to burn it off with the torch.
Now I can weasel the hydraulic valves out while removing the bracket.
Now I just have a dozen or so bolts to remove, probably just get this side down and call it.
I do want to drain the oil pan before leaving, no sense in having a mess to start with tomorrow.
