Once I get done, there will be two winches on board, it will have the dirt anchoring plates, and I will be building a trailer similar to the military one. It will make for a very versatile setup for sure.

How’s the tower demo coming along?

We want pictures of that big crane.

Hint: if you take pictures from the tower, try not to let those big *** boot block the view.

No removal, got canceled due to wind concerns.

You don't want to think about what else might show.

Sorry about last night was have a rough time with snow. The new electric zamboni got snow packed in conditioner box and snow transport system and it locked up with snow. I left clumps of snow on the ice it was a mess.
Took me 30 minutes with a hot water hose to get it unsnowbound.
Electric Zamboni's drive weird I popped it into neutral to roll into storage space and it stopped like I put on a brake. If you stand up it stops.

The newer electric forklifts do the same thing.

We removed the generator and AC units from one building, working on the framework over the smaller building now.

I will post as I go, things will happen fast once they happen, but the lead up is going to be slow.

Tomorrow I am going to try and get the hydraulic system figured out for Perk so I can dump the new dump trailer, the Mitsu is over at the tower, I need to get the hy-ram (hydraulic jackhammer) over and setup does I can demo one building and the concrete slabs. I may also pick up a couple of the smaller ones to reuse for the generator and propane tank. The next couple weeks will be fun. ;)

Need to unload the generator and AC units tomorrow.

I may have missed a really nice forklift for sale, would have been a nice addition to the fleet, won't know until later today if the first person to look at it is taking it. I suspect they will, but you never know. :(

There is no wind, not a bit, nothing, zip, nada. :(

Even the harbor was like a sheet of glass. I just hope it gets windy, otherwise the cancellation was probably the biggest blunder of the year.

It has progressed to windy, so I feel better.

Trying to figure out how to get some tires out of the back of the Quonset hut, they are kind of trapped behind things, always an adventure when it comes to that place. Probably wait until I have some help so I don’t kill myself. Need to run Perk over to see about hydraulic systems anyways, it will be much easier to get the guy outside to look at things since it isn’t raining today. ;)

Had to go back to the SG and get some tires and a hydraulic pump, now I need to get Buck inside the shop at TH so I can swap tires tomorrow while it is raining.

I am going back and forth with a seller on a forklift, the first buyer flakes on them, hopefully I will be able to pick it up Saturday morning. It does need brakes, but other than that it is functional. Once it has working brakes, it will probably overshadow Clark. :(

So ended up changing tire on the truck, of course I slipped the bar off and slammed my hand into a partially open latch, think I broke a knuckle or at a minimum some blood vessels.

Pretty sure there wasn’t a bump there before. :(

It wasn’t just a punch, I was holding a pry bar, so it crushed too. I always try and do things right, no matter what it is. ;)

Unloading generator now.

Got everything unloaded, put a tarp over the AC units in prep for the rain. Slow moving, hand hurts, at home now icing it. My new swivel hooks arrived, they look very nice, will post pictures tomorrow. Going to bed soon.

The last time I broke my hand I was talking to my ex on the phone. I knocked a payphone sideways. It was out of service until payphones were done away with. Hand still tells me when it is going to rain.

I can move it and touch it without pain, it feels tight when I close my hand, if it gets worse I will probably get an X-ray.

I had to take the tire off the rim while it was on the truck, then reinstall the non leaking used tire the same way. I couldn't get the lug nuts off, I was going the proper direction, the stud had an "R" stamped in it, so it was right hand thread, I am ordering some sockets for the 1" drive impact, that should make a difference. :)

Hand is much better, don't think I broke anything, still a little swollen, but far from what it was last night. I am going to ice it again and take some more ibuprofen. Need to go pick up some parts also have to take a closer look at the hydraulic valve on the cascadia that I bought.

The one I hauled back or the one on Perk? I paid $5k for the entire truck, the one in Perk I paid $6,500 IIRC and it was functioning. I see them in the $5k to $10k range, one thing that is really important, if it doesn’t have a corded or wireless remote, making it into o e would cost thousands more before you even buy the remote.

Knuckle feels pretty good considering.

Had to move a trailer for Dad, then moved the Louisville out of the way so we could store (for the winter) a boat hull behind it. Now I am headed out to get my PTO and some parts for the new hydraulics.

That is the wrong kind of knuckle boom. Hope it heals quickly.
